    Hibiscus Spritz, Tomato Ricotta pastry

This is a lovely pit stop on the Elliott Bay trail! Great food, yummy refreshing drinks, and excellent customer service! This brand new, beautiful building tucked in Centennial Park near the shoreline, is a great oasis. The seating is outside with a great view of Elliott Bay. However, they don't have indoor seating, so it might be a tough sell on a rainy day. I tried the Hibiscus Spritz and a tomato and ricotta pastry. Both were so good! It can get very busy, so plan to go during off hours if you don't want to wait a long time. I'll definitely be back! You really can't beat a cute cafe along the trail.

What a beautiful location! We stumbled upon this place walking down the newly renovated trail. We didn't even know it existed but it was very fun to arrive at this pleasant location. The food was as great as ever. We'd been to other Cafe Hagen locations before, so I knew their sandwiches and the toasts were great. However, there is something special about this particular one overlooking the water and the beautifully maintained water always that elevates this place above all the other locations. They were staffed as much as the small space behind the counter could allow for, but I have to warn you that when I was there, there was a huge wave of people, and it took a long time to get our orders. When it's a sunny warm sunny day, I'd be prepared to wait quite a while. Also, the patio was constantly full, so may have to find seating elsewhere in the park. I'm interested to find out how this place is doing in the peak rainy season. I will report back again in mid December.

Tried the newly opened Cafe Hagen Waterfront location today, and first of all, 10/10 for the location! Such beautiful water views. They even have a cute hammock where you can relax and enjoy the view while sipping your coffee. I've always loved Cafe Hagen for their coffee, and this location definitely maintains the same quality. The only catch is parking. There seems to be very limited parking nearby, at least from what I could find. There are a few parking options in the area, and we lucked out and found a spot at the North Car Public Park. Overall, 10/10! Great coffee, beautiful views, and such a lovely spot to hang out.

I stopped by Cafe Hagen on the waterfront today and ended up having a really great experience. One of the things I liked most is that there's finally a spot right along the Elliott Bay Trail where you can grab a coffee, pastry, sandwich, or cold drink without having to leave the waterfront. If you're coming from the Queen Anne side, it's roughly a mile into the trail from the W Thomas overpass, but definitely worth the walk. The location itself is beautiful. There are about six tables and plenty of barstools on the patio, comfortable couches, and great views overlooking the bay or to just people watch. I noticed a couple of people working on laptops while I was there, so it seems like a good place to settle in for a while and get work done. It's also very dog-friendly, with water bowls available outside for four-legged visitors. For lunch, we tried the Market Club and the Urban Pesto sandwiches. Both were excellent and much larger than I expected. I only managed to finish about half of mine and ended up taking the rest home. One of the staff members recommended the Hibiscus Iced Tea, and on a warm Seattle afternoon it absolutely hit the spot. Even though they were busy during the lunch rush, service was friendly and our food arrived surprisingly quickly around five minutes after ordering. A fun touch was the large swinging couch overlooking the water. It comfortably fit a couple of people and a pair of dogs as well. Overall, Cafe Hagen feels like the kind of place you'll find yourself returning to, whether you're taking a break on the trail, meeting a friend for coffee, or just looking for a waterfront spot to relax for a bit. I'll definitely be back!

This is a very popular spot right now, and I can see why . Great location and ambience, great view (specially in summer or no rainy days) Came in early and they had loads of choices of savory and sweet pastries. Also à la carte choices. Bring your furry friends! Pet friendly. No WiFi but restrooms available.

Beautiful new coffee shop on the Interbay waterfront! Their drinks are always great and I enjoy their croissants & quiches. Seating is outdoor only, though it is covered. There is also plenty of seating around the area (park benches and such). I would recommend parking on the main road and walking the pedestrian bridge to the coffee shop, as the park's parking lot is very small. Will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful location but the service was a bit slow and we ended up needing to ask for our food a couple times before we got it and it was already ready behind the counter. I'm sure it's just growing pains and can't wait to be back here again. Definitely stop by if you're walking by the waterfront

    Sweet matcha

This place has certainly become the talk of the neighborhood, understandably so as it is aesthetically gorgeous and their menu is very appealing. In my opinion, a little overrated. If tried to give their matcha a few times and it never really tastes up to par, this location is definitely perfect for tourists visiting and maybe a WFH situation but outside of that it's not the best. The view definitely makes up for it! Keep in mind that this cafe is about 1.5 miles into the Expedia trail along the water! It is directly in the sun so it can get a bit toasty during sunnier days!

This new location has the best vibes especially in the summer! There is a beautiful view of the water, outdoor seating, music, and walking paths nearby to take items to go. It was very crowded and took a while for our food to come, but that is to be expected with new locations. Food was delicious and so was the coffee.

What a beautiful location for a cafe! This location is right by the waterfront. On a sunny evening, this was the perfect spot for watching the sailboats go by and sipping amazing coffee. We tried the Espresso tonic which was so refreshing and the København latte which was so delectable. The service was fast but the cashier definitely had some communication issues. They also had a lot of baked goods but we didn't try them yet. They have a lot of seating and even a cute swing. I will definitely be back.

    Supposedly berry croissant
    Nija M.

In the showcase it looked totally different! Croissants looked exactly like they make them in Copenhagen, full of strawberries, blueberries and A LOT or cream. That's what I got after 30 min wait... The location is amazing but small for amount of people on the weekends. Be prepared to wait for the food (or "berry" croissant) at least an hour. Service needs improvement! Wait times and mixed orders are incredibly bad.

If you can find parking in the Cap Hill area I would definitely consider this as an option for a sweet treat. I think the prices are really reasonable considering some of the other options. Staff: 5/5 (nice) Sanitation: 5/5 (clean) Soft serve w/syrups (5/5) I've had most of the syrups that they offer with their vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself is a really creamy and rich vanilla milk flavor. I would say it's closer to that Asian milk flavor if you know what I mean. I think the hojicha syrup is my favorite out of all the ones I've tried so far. It has a really nice roasty flavor and not something you can find at most other places. The matcha I would say is my second favorite. The flavor of the matcha syrup is definitely lighter compared to the hojicha but still is a nice compliment to the soft serve. The black sesame would be the lowest on my list out of the, all since I felt like the flavor was too nutty like it was a blend of sesame and potentially a nut. Overall I would definitely go back for the hojicha but if you're not into that there's definitely solid options for other flavors.

One night, after a dinner nearby, I went here to try the soft serve. It was absolutely phenomenal. The choice of flavors isn't much, but the amount and variety of toppings is awesome. I went with the vanilla and chocolate swirl, with butterscotch hard shell and reese's pieces. Firstly, the texture was so smooth and creamy. It had a great mix of both flavors, and was at the perfect temperature. But the toppings are really what makes this. Hard shell is not something you find often, but being able to break this butterscotch and eat the crunchiness along with the melting ice cream was amazing. The excessive amount of reese's pieces added saltiness and even more texture to the overall thing. It was just wonderful overall. Given that, I was really excited to get the fried chicken sandwich, which I did a week later. Unfortunately, it was really bad. I was just confused at first. How could things have gone so wrong here. I'd heard a lot of good things about the fried chicken sandwich. Yet no amount of online reviews could rescue the reality that was in my hands. The chicken was just awful. There was a ton of breading, practically thicker than the chicken itself. But somehow it just failed to be crunchy - it just felt soggy with every bite. Over-breaded chicken is never a great sign, and the inside was terrible - barely even tasting like chicken. It was super overcooked; no juice at all. The fried chicken piece was also super thin compared to how large the buns were. Just nothing worked on this sandwich at all - including the excessive amount of mayo. It's one of the worst fried chicken sandwiches I've had. Price-wise, the chicken sandwich is actually not too expensive at around $11. The soft serve is about half that, but at a pretty good portion. It's tough for me to come up with an overall rating because the soft serve was so good, followed by a mind-bogglingly bad sandwich. I guess I'd only recommend you come here for dessert. 6.5/10
