Buyer beware! I hired Dela Tile & Stone to install kitchen and bathroom quartz countertops b/c they had the best price. Unfortunately, there were some quality and communications issues. Once work was complete there was a large gap on one side of my very expense slab backsplash and I was told after it was installed that there were some disparities with the length of the countertop. Had Dela Tile contacted us in advance of installation, we would have been able to score the drywall so that they could fit it in but we were not given that option. It's totally unfair for a company you pay to do a job to make a decision on your property without consulting you. I took them to small claims court to have the job redone by another vendor but due to Texas law (99% of the work was completed) I was unable to recoup the funds. So if they mess it up, you have to live with it. Cheaper is not always better. Good luck if you decide to move forward with them! read more

I came by unannounced today and was greeted by Bob and Allen. They made me feel right at home and not like I was bothering them which was a wonderful surprise. They also have a large inventory and not only sell granite but they have smaller pieces for smaller projects. There are bathroom displays and unbeknownst to me the also sell carpet. These guys pretty much single-handedly delayed our kitchen remodel by three weeks or more and ended up costing us (and our contractor) extra money out of pocket. The designer from Dela that worked with us was unresponsive to all of our requests and he quit in the middle of the job (he just walked out one day). Before he left he failed to order things that were needed for the kitchen on time. He failed to order the cabinets early enough, he completely forgot to order the backsplash tiles, and he also failed to get the accent for the backsplash. They were also short on materials for the counter top. Every single portion of our kitchen was delayed by one thing or another. It was pretty ridiculous. The replacement designer didn't do anything useful either. I got a few phone calls from her where she tried to charge us for stuff that was part of our original estimate (because original designer also hated documentation). We ended up having to fork over some more cash for random stuff that "wasn't part of the standard install" like Handles for the cabinets for example. Needless to say these guys were pretty terrible all across the board. We will need to remodel the Bathroom at some point, and there's no way in hell I am calling these guys. I'd go elsewhere if I were you. read more

We stopped in Dela Tile to look at granite for our master bath and kitchen. We had brought along a cabinet door to help with matching existing cabinets as we were just replacing counter tops in both areas. Raquel met us and we toured their slab inventory in the adjacent yard and found just the right slabs that both my wife and I loved. (rare situation) We then selected travertine for the backsplash which complimented the granite. Installation was complete in a two week window and the fabrication shop did a fantastic job in both cutting the stone and installation. The price was competitive, installation was timely, and communication was excellent throughout the process. Very satisfied and would highly recommend them to anyone seeking this type of remodel. read more

Our sales person, Lydia Contreras, showed us various types of granite when we visited their store off of Hwy 290. She explained the process from ordering to installation and was responsive through-out the entire project. Dela's price was competitive compared to other vendors, even though they sell a required minimum amount of square footage. They delivered within a week, which was the deciding factor for us. The installers arrived on time and worked quickly. A problem did come up with the layout of the fixture holes on the vanity countertops. However, Dela was open to negotiation on the remaining balance and we arrived at a mutually agreeable final payment. We recommend Dela Tile. read more

The worst shopping experience I have ever had. They could not move a tile to floor because it was too heavy. They could not give me a sample. They would not look up price or name and color for me without me insisting. They charge 3% to use a credit card. They told me it took 3 days to get in and while they were confirming they ordered it. It takes a week. I am worried now that it will come in wrong and I will have to fight for refund. Yikes!!! read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to Dela Tile and their team for doing a wonderful job on my kitchen update. Dela Tile installed the granite and back splash. The glass tile I pick was a difficult install due to the length of the tile. (3" x12"). Each was manufactured with a slight warp to it. Roger the tile installer stuck with it and it came out beautiful. Also, Aurea did a fabulous job heading up the whole team. They showed up when they stated and even worked weekends when the job went over the estimated time. The owner even came out to measure for the job. I like the fact that Dela Tile hires all of their installers-meaning they are on the payroll. Not hired as day labors. Also, they took meticulous care of my belongings, making sure to lay paper down on the floors and cabinets. I would definitely recommend Dela tile and plan to use them again when I start my master bathroom project. read more

Dela Tile and Stone did a fantastic job installing our granite countertops in our kitchen. Leo directing Juan, Pancho and Antonio did an outstanding job. It took them about half a day to finish the work. As they worked they also cleaned and vacuumed to keep the working area organized. Dela created beautiful granite countertops for us for our outside kitchen last year. They did a pretty great job lining things up when the dimensions and shapes they were working around from the base structure was so inconsistent and likely tough to work with. We always anticipate hiccups in scheduling and so any changes that they needed were okay with us. They could have done a better job of communicating with us when their team would actually arrive. I hope that is something they learn to improve in their business, but still, they turned this work around for us within 72 hours of our having selected the slabs, the counters look amazing, the pricing was very good and I would hire them again. read more

Was sold a wood floor for our dining room and master bedroom. The wood is horrible and the scratches are everywhere. It has to be replaced and the manufacturer that the business is supposed to stand behind blames him for selling me this floor and Dela tile will not stand behind the product they sold or help at all. I have been told so many times they would help repair the floor and they never call back. Do you want someone like that installing your floor or selling you a floor? I am very disappointed being promised over and over to help me when they really just want me to go away with a floor that is defective and have it be my problem. Where oh where are tradesmen who respond timely to customers and deliver what they promise? The positive? Price. Out of three bids, they beat the others. The negatives? After boasting that they can install countertops within 72 hours, it took weeks after I paid the upfront half. Then I was given a day that they'd install, but no time window. They ended up coming at 7:45pm. We had purchased vessel sinks, overflow drains, and faucets. I showed all pieces to the representative when he came to measure and the installers had all pieces on hand. Turns out they screwed up when they installed by cutting the sink holes too small for the drain assemblies. Now I have sinks glued to a counter that cannot be hooked up to the drain and we've been waiting a few weeks to hear whether Dela Tile will make it right. One rep told us that they usually have someone on hand during the install who has plumbing experience but he wasn't available that day. Another told us to get a plumber to basically do a workaround to make it work. We just had a plumber here today who said that there is no workaround. So ya... their initial price beat their competitors. But now they want to add on charges to make their mistake right, so I wish I had gone with someone else. read more

I got my mom kitchen cabinet from this business. It was such a lengthy process before they finally ordered the cabinets. They gave us a price for the cabinets that we paid in full but when the cabinets arrived to their shop, they said we need to pay more because they did not give us an accurate estimate at first!!!! We had to pay this increase that we did not agree for when we ordered the cabinets or else they won't ship the cabinets to our house. What an awful and greedy way to treat customers. Very dishonest business and I learned later that it's illegal to do that. We hired an installer to assemble the cabinets and we noticed that their design and measurements had flaws. That's the only thing they had to do before they send it to the manufacturer and they did it all wrong. The measurement for the refrigerator was off although they came several times to measure because they keep losing their measurements and then later asked us several times for us to measure it and they still lost it so the refrigerator is now not in line with the cabinets. There was a void between the cabinets that should've been filled with a small cabinet or something. We did not want to go through this dishonest business again so ordered a small cabinet to fill the space from another interior designer. I have the receipts and pictures for that. We wasted time and money to cover the many loopholes in the cabinets due to their recklessness and greed. The kitchen obviously looks like it has flaws in the design especially with the refrigerator sticking out from the rest of all the cabinets. All kitchens have the cabinetry around the fridge customized to have longer depth. I felt bad for my mom because I'm the one who recommended this business and for no good reason. Her dream cabinets was not worth the money we paid for it. She wanted to have the cabinets up to the ceiling so we don't have this space with ceiling, but they were not designed to be that way. They did not communicate measurements or what we wanted in our kitchen cabinets. What a shame we paid an exorbitant amount of money plus their high profit margin. I got an estimate for this business to tile my house and it was very expensive, because their profit margin is too high and even their sub-contractors admit that. Edit: Instead of trying to be a responsible business owner by fixing their obvious mistakes, they tried bullying me. Good luck with that, because that won't affect me coming from dishonest and mischievous person like you. Family-owned business? then why make up stories and lie? I posted this review for my mother's sake because your unprofessional behavior ruined her cabinets, you can ask her and get her perspective, she is more angry than I am about the entire thing and wish if she ordered from HomeDepot. I'm the one who drove her back and forth from your shop thinking that I want her to have quality cabinets, but what do you know, your cabinets and service are lower quality than any other. I wrote all those checks so how come you say you enjoyed business with my mom or sister and in fact my sister went only once with us. My family thinks this comment made by this business is laughable because of the hypocrisy and how a man claim principles yet choose bully and blackmail. If you really did return a check to me of $46k then why did I still order cabinets from you? if you really did that, then we will just leave, no need to do business with unethical man such as yourself. FYI, you need to teach the meaning of hard work to your son because he doesn't attend to any of the customers walking to your shop and every time I visit, I see his wife working while he is laid back. I recently ordered a Quartz counter for our kitchen with Dela Tile and when our counters showed up for install we quickly realized that it was not correct. The corners were rounded and we specifically stated we wanted blunt straight corners. When we pointed this out to Dela Tile they first stated it was "standard for safety" to make all corners rounded......which is not true considering they install counters all the time with straight corners according to their website pictures. When I spoke with the manager about this she did admit it that the representative that I was working with should have given me the option but that it was my job to specify this, which I did......but I didn't know I was suppose to be the counter expert! Needless to say they admitted they made a mistake but did NOTHING to fix this! I spent $11,000 on counters with them and they refused to even give us a discount on a mistake that THEY made! I will NEVER do business with this company again! read more
