Serve is always good so was surprised by the service we received during covid. Went to speaker to order and was told them person outside had to take my order, when asked well were is she. She said she will come to you. The person to take orders was standing under a tree not in plan site. We waited for her to walk over to us SLOWLY to take our order. I said how are we to see you if you are hiding under a tree. When drove up to get our food by a small framed tattooed I guess who was the manager on the process. Probably the worst ff restaurant I've ever had the displeasure of frequenting, it's filthy bathrooms are disgusting with not seat covers or soap in them and they constantly just lock the doors when they advertise being open, person after person turn up only to be locked out. It's shocking to me that the closest Del Taco to their corporate headquarters is such an absolute mess. The store itself is neat and tidy, but the staff is unimaginably inept. Here's my three most recent experiences; - large order ($86 worth) for a big group: almost half the order was NOT included in the bags we got. - ordered a burrito with EXTRA sauce: instead, got ZERO sauce - ordered egg and cheese burritos at 9am: got bean and cheese burritos. That's just the three most recent incidents. I can remember a half dozen other times I've had to drive back through the drive through because the order was wrong. I went there today June 4th 2020 between 1-1:30pm I was given my food and then the worker at the window and two other employees who I assume were the shift leaders or managers kept saying bye over and over passive aggressively. I had yet to even receive my debit card back. This was extremely rude and unprofessional. This is one of the two best Del Tacos I have ever been to. The other being the super big one in Barstow. The service is always friendly and super fast. There is often a line at the drive through at lunch time, but it moves super fast. The line is because this particular Del Taco is really good. The portion sizes are always consistent and items are not haphazardly thrown together like some other fast food locations. I miss this location, since I no longer work near it. Most Del Tacos are open 24/7. Score! This is comfort food. I know friends that like Taco Bell better (long ago, i may have said yes) but DT does it for me these days. Guilty pleasures. Julian and Anthony provide the best service I've ever received at a del taco ever. and trust me I go to a lot of del tacos all the time anytime I'm on a road trip if I got the option for del taco that's where I'm stopping but I've never had drive-through service like what these two gentlemen were able to provide. unbelievable that you can get away with paying so little and get such incredible customer service I would highly expect to see some positive influence brought to these two individuals. I didn't hear him say the total and when I went to get the money- 12.05 he said to me that he didn't care about the change and that I just needed to give him the money. As everyone know's, Taco Tuesday is their busiest day of the week. Last night my wife and I stopped by to get some food and after leaving the drive-thru we pulled into the parking lot to inspect or order. We noticed they had missed a couple of things in our order and gave us wrong items, so my wife said she would go in and let them know. A few minutes later, she came back out and she told me this: She went inside and politely let them know we did not receive our correct order. The person who she assumed was the manager then gave that "oh no" look and asked what was wrong. Again, in a polite manner, she just let him know we were missing a couple of things and gave us hard shell tacos instead of soft shell tacos. He apologized and said he would get that fixed immediately. She told him no rush because we saw how busy it was outside in the drive-thru. They corrected the order with the missing items, let us keep the hard shell tacos, and gave us a free drink as a way to apologize. My wife happily said thank you, and the manager replied with "Thank you for not yelling at me." The reality of this made me sad because think about how often that must happen for him to reply in that way. Long story short, a little bit of kindness goes a long way, fast food workers are people too. Del Taco is at the top of my go to list. read more

It sounds funny to say this but I am a huge Del taco fan. I probably eat there once a week. Before they opened the one in Rancho Santa Margarita (just recently) this was the closest one to my work. The drive-through moves quickly for the most part and they have never made a mistake with my order. At this location inside they have a salsa bar with the packets of hot sauce and also with self serve salsa. I have not seen this in any other Del taco. My husband really likes the self-serve salsa. The food never disappoints especially the bean and cheese burritos with extra cheese and the chicken soft tacos. They are also open 24 hours so sometimes if you don't want Denny's this is another great option. In fact I think I would pick Del taco over Denny's any day.... Haha. read more

i was craving for some burrito which is very unusual of me. i decided to come here since this place was pretty close from where i was at that time.. i tried the macho burrito for $4.29. the burrito was really big and humongous. i could easily eat it for 2 meals. anyways, when i opened the wrapped, i didnt like the look of my burrito. it looks crap, taste crap, and it is crap!! the burrito did have some lettuce, cheese, ground beef, and beans. but the amount of beans they put was like 80% of the whole thing. all i could taste was bean bean and bean!! disgusting.. i wished i did not come here.. i would have given this place one star but the service is here is really good and friendly, which is pretty rare for a fast food chain. i dont think i will be back here even when i am craving for some burrito again. i'd rather go to an actual mexican restaurant for a legit burrito. read more

Honestly, screw all these people heavily critiquing a FAST FOOD joint. But past that-- this Del Taco has got to be one of the best locations I have ever been to. The management is always so kind and interactive, while we can play it off as trying to please the higher ups down the street, I am greeted by someone who is genuinely pleased to serve me. By the time you have paid, the food is ready! Seems sketch, but is that not what you go to fast food for...? I've only experienced a mistake in my order once, forgot to take off the sauce, it's a good thing I'm not miserable in my own life so I understand mistakes undoubtedly happen every once in a while (especially in the food industry) and that single experience does not define the establishment nor management. I ordered from The Street Taco Plato; Two tacos of Carne Asada with beans and rice also with chips & Salsa. My wife ordered Two Grilled Chicken Tacos, also with beans and rice, also with chips & salsa. We would order Diet Coke to drink to balance the meal. Both Taco Plates come with Avocado slices on each taco. I really enjoyed my meal and so did my wife.
