I've had food at the Foothill Ranch location but the first time here off of El Toro Road. We came in right before closing and the employees were very helpful and patient with us! I like their outdoor patio. They had a beer menu at the front door and the choices looked great! We ordered a burrito that had onion rings inside this was a great flavor/ingredient combo! The fuego taco with street corn and queso fresco and a cheese enchilada. Everything was very fresh and tasty, and very good portions. I will say the enchilada was mid in flavor, however I appreciate the sauciness. The salsas/sauces are delicious and add such a great touch to the food. The 3 items came out to about $25, so not bad since two of us were sharing. Parking is plentiful in the smaller lot that includes a Share Tea, Jersey Mike's and Panda Express. read more

They ran out of certain drinks. The fish taco was terrible. No flavor. The menu says it's lightly battered but this was basically an over battered fish stick that looked like a chicken tender. The sauce was horrible. The slaw on the taco had very little to add to the flavor. Bathroom stall doors were broken. It was honestly just depressing. I really hate giving reviews like this, but I would avoid this location at all cost... Maybe the Spectrum or other locations are better but I can see why they would be. read more

I was staying with my son last week, and he asked me if I wanted Wahoo's for dinner. My answer was a quick yes. I wasn't super hungry, so I ordered a kid's plate, which came with a fish taco, rice, and beans. I love their spicy Cajun white beans. Unfortunately, they got the order wrong and gave me black beans. Longtime customer, first time reviewer. Came in today to a pretty empty restaurant. Got my order for an Outer Reef Burrito in right away, the cashier was very nice, and informed me that a combo (rice &bean) I could purchase a fountain drink for 99cents. Bonus, because the price of fountain drinks in getting out of control everywhere. Food came out fast and was special. Our server asked if they could get us anything else, I was good, which is always nice to hear. Wahoos is no longer wahoos. I ordered the blackened chicken bowl and a tea, $18-. The portions are nowhere near what they used to be, and tbh I don't think the chicken was really chicken. I smashed a piece of the "meat" with my fork and it disintegrated into nothing. You can't do that to actual chicken meat. On top of that the service was awful. There were 3 other people in the restaurant when I ordered, 2 of them were already eating, and it took over 10 minutes to get my meal, and that's after the same woman that took my order delivered somebody else's food. Nataly took our order and she was rude from the beginning. At first, I ignored her condescending tone dismissing it to miscommunication but as the interaction continued so did her attitude. Nataly should not be interacting with customers and be the face of your business. I mean that respectfully. I will not be returning based on her alone. There are plenty other locations and I respect myself too much than to allow someone to be rude and condescending for no reason at all. I've been having Wahoo's for 2 decades now and I still love their food! Wahoo's is pretty consistent with their quality & service. Price are still reasonable! They do make you feel welcomed and pleasant to engage with - whether dine-in, take-out or phone orders. This review is more about lunches being provided by my company for my department. When it comes to a big group of 20+ it is ideal to do catering. BUT with various dietary restrictions we decided to let our colleagues choose their own choice of lunch. I'm not going to lie, it is a bit of work gathering all their orders & placing them online. But I believe in good food = good mood = happy colleagues. I choose Wahoo's as an lunch option for my department because: (1) Despite the various options one can have per order - the online ordering is pretty clean & painless. There is a comment section where I can put in special requests & ask for staff to place colleague's name on each order. FYI - I ordered online 1-2 days in advance & I called the Wahoo's store to let them know of the huge order coming through. It's a courtesy to them so they are not overwhelmed slammed the day of lunch service. I also confirm with them to place name on each order. In which they did a great job of! (2) I do appreciate the communication of email (receipt/order confirmation) and text messages too. (3) Quality of food is yummy & the portioning is generous. But I am not sure about the burrito - I got mixed feedback on the size/portioning. (4) Pick-up was fairly easy. I choose this location instead of Spectrum because parking is much easier to find here. All orders were securely packed for take-out. Large salsas I did purchase online. But when in store, I asked for several individual salsas - in which they kindly provided. The food was good, ingredients were fresh... the tables were clean, they do ask you to bus your own items for distancing safety which Im not sure I understand, but thats ok. Not a big deal at all. There were some buckets off to the side of the restaurant where you placed everything. My issue was with service. They guy behind the register I think just really didnt like me, as he seemed to be really nice to other guests. He thanked others for coming in when they left, but didnt say a word to us. My mom was looking over the menu and I was pretty much telling her what everything was, so she could make a decision. It took a while for him to come up to the register, then when I wasnt ready right away, he made a very loud, very long whining cry noise as he walked over to the wall and back to the register. I ordered my mom one 1988 taco with chicken. I then ordered myself the two taco place with citrus slaw tacos, one chicken and one fish. I asked if they had refried beans instead of black beans and he just laughed at me. After I paid, my mom mentioned wanting guacamole and this really agitated the cashier. He said it was extra and I said ok, so charge me extra and I will pay again. He was honestly so irritated, it was really weird. So I paid cash for the guacamole and went and sat down. My mom got up and asked him to close the shades on the windows, to which he did, and was very nice to her, so it was literally just me, he couldnt stand and I have zero idea why. I was nice to him, and there were ZERO people behind us when we ordered so its not like I held up a line, and really didnt even take that long to explain things to my mom so she could decide. I stopped by on Sunday 9/15/24 @4:39 pm to this location. We were looking forward to eating here . The Server didn't greet us. We said hi to him and no answer. He was rude at all time . It seemed as if he didn't want to serve us. I order enchilada plate and I asked to get an extra enchilada and he seemed mad by his facial expression when I added the extra enchilada. My husband asked for the something as me because he noticed that the server was rude so he didn't want to deal with him. My son order the 3 taquitos which normally comes with Guacamole and sour cream . My husband order the Guacamole on the side. when this cashier/server gaved us our order I thanked him and he didn't even say anything. My husband noticed that the taquitos were plain no sour cream so he got up and was going to ask the cashier . So this guy automatically said "you have to pay extra. " I was at the salsa bar and I told him " since when do you have to pay extra if the taquitos says it comes with Guacamole and sour cream?" The taquitos are plain . He raised his voice and I told him "why are you acting like this? I'm not asking for free sour cream . We can pay for it" very rude cashier. I don't understand why we had to pay for something that already is advertised to come with the taquitos. He ruin our dinner and we weren't happy with the service, food or ambiance. I have come multiple times to this restaurant and always have loved coming to eat here , but not yesterday. I enjoy Wahoo's and when I get a chance to go I try to. Was in the area and decided to stop in at this location and was disappointed. From the workers to the food it wasn't the usual best I have been accustomed too. The workers were too busy (not sure what they were doing) but it took a moment to order, then it took some time for our order. The fish tacos weren't so good this time and my Maui bowl was okay. Wahoos is one of many places my man and I love to eat. It's healthy, has great options! Thursday February 28th 2024 I will say had the best customer service! We were greeted with Kassandra P (says on the receipt hehe) Before us she was with a customer and did multitasking. When it was our turn She didn't hesitate to greet us at all! There was another woman that was working with her that also provide great customer service while we received our food and she checked up on us to make sure everything is ok. Kassandra also did that as well and kindly took our plate/trash. We both thank her and the other woman. The food was amazing! Wahoo's as a company is a shadow of what it once was 20 years ago. This Wahoo's location is an example of that decline. We have eaten at this location several times and our experience has been consistent. Our food has been just ok for quality and poorly put together. This visit, we ordered a fish dish that was rubbery and a side of chips and they were stale and greasy. Their salsa is bland, cheap and doesn't taste fresh, aside from their pico de gallo. The staff at this and other locations have been the exception to the rest of our experiences. They have been very polite, helpful and accommodating. They also seem to be aware that the quality of food they are serving isn't very good. The overall decline appears to be from the top down at Wahoo's as an organization. Poor decision making and quality control. I would not recommend Wahoo's to my friends and family. The decline over the years borders on tragic. read more

Researched this location prior to our trip from Massachusetts as my grandson said he liked it. My wife and I highly recommend the 1988 fish tacos, with black beans, Cole slaw and brown rice. Our granddaughter, a French fry connoisseur, said she enjoys Wahoo's fries more than most places. Looking forward to our next CA trip and a return visit.
