My sister and our pups went to eat at this wonderful little restaurant after a great hike with our pups Kobie-Star and Willow . We sat outside in their outdoor patio where they had a couple of TV's -one with the basketball playoffs going on ( my favorite)! The staff was just amazing and welcomed us and our pups and brought out water for both pups without us even having to ask for it , love that . They have lots of food to choose from but we stuck with the traditional combo plate : Cheese enchilada and carnitas taco - mine was a crunchy and hers was soft taco ( both were delicious). I also ordered a delicious blended strawberry margarita and it didn't disappoint. Our servers were : Enrique and Alfonso both were great . They brought us extra bean mixture dip for the chips as their dips and chips are AMAZING as is their food . If you haven't tried this place, you must try this place as not only is the food great , the people that work here are really amazing and that made our time here even better . We checked their hours and found they are open ALL DAY something like 8AM for breakfast -10 PM like what ??? Not everyday but most days , this isn't fast food either ... Had an enjoyable happy hour! Happy hour all day on Tuesdays. Happy hour prices were great. I enjoyed the Michelada with zero alcohol beer. The "lollipop" interesting name but basically steak and rice pretty and delicious. Chips and comp bean and salsa dip were good. Corn was good. Calamari okay. Taquitos were okay. Friends liked the potatoes tacos and LA dog. Sampler plates were okay. Service was great. Live music was great. Not sure if I love the food. Found a new HH spot close to home. Where else can you find HH until 7PM? This is the place to be. Lol. We've been here many times for HH and we love it. Xclusive is tucked in the same plaza as Sno to Go and Shell. Plenty of parking. The HH pricing here is unheard of. My husband and I ordered 6 items and an IPA... for $65. Our go-to's are the skirt short steak lollipops (over rice), short rib taquitos, calamari frito (with side salad), esquite, LA dog ($7 with fries!), the taco sampler (not a fan of the thick tortillas), and the Xclusive sampler. They are the perfect shareables & the best girl dinner I could ask for. Warm chips, salsa, & beans on the house. Not a fan of beans but this one... I can snack on nonstop. Food tastes good. Definitely bang for your buck. This is a neighborhood favorite. The restaurant is always busy even the bar is packed. Highly recommend this place. The staff here has been amazing every time. We almost drove past it the first time. Xclusive is tucked into the corner of an otherwise unassuming retail strip, and from the outside it looks pretty straightforward. The decor and vibe are simple and casual, nothing flashy, but that's honestly where the ordinary ends. The service has been consistently good. Friendly waitress, attentive without hovering. Every time we've gone it hasn't been very busy, maybe we're just catching it at the right time, but it makes for a relaxed experience. The food is AMAZING. We've been twice and both times we've left genuinely impressed. They start you off with great table salsa and fresh chips, always a good sign. On my first visit I had the enchiladas with mole sauce, served with beans and rice. The mole was rich and flavorful without being overpowering. On the second visit I went with the carnitas plate on the waiter's recommendation and it did not disappoint. Super flavorful, perfectly cooked, tender with great texture. My wife ordered the shrimp tacos and had the same takeaway, fresh, well seasoned, and balanced. We haven't tried the drinks yet, but food-wise they have been spot on. Prices are reasonable for the quality you're getting. They also have an easy kids menu with picky-eater staples like cheeseburgers and chicken strips, which makes it family friendly. Xclusive Mexican was honestly a bit disappointing. The quality of the food just did not meet expectations and everything felt a little off compared to what I was hoping for. It did not taste as fresh or as well prepared as it should have been. The margarita was also not good, which was surprising since that is usually something hard to mess up. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! The chicken fajitas I ordered were bright red and extremely dry. I mentioned to the manager that they don't look like the chicken fajitas other customers have posted online and she agreed the cooks put too much sauce. She told me she would give me a call back once she figured out how to refund me. When she did, she refused to take accountability and informed me that she would no longer be offering me a refund. They could've kept a customer if they honored what they said they would do. I'm very disappointed considering the fajitas are expensive and I didn't eat them. I must tell you it was one of the best plates I've ever had. I happily cleaned my plate. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. We usually start with the Ceviche Mixto, and tonight it was excellent as we had come to expect. Again, a return to form. I washed mine down with a house margarita and a Michelada as one does. After a long day of work my husband was in the mood for a little at home date night and found Xclusive using his "excellent restaurant radar" I truly don't know how he does it.. We wanted Mexican but wanted it to be clean, fresh, quality ingredients and not super fast or casual. Xclusive hit all our spots! We ordered their guacamole which was a very generous portion and came with super thin, crispy tortilla chips that we pretty much inhaled. I got the two item combo plate with a steak enchilada and chile relleno and excellent red rice and beans, and my husband got a chile relleno place and a chicken in salsa verde enchiladas place. The flavors were incredible, everything tasted so fresh and high quality, and we were so stuffed we almost couldn't finish the churros with ice cream... almost! They were definitely a highlight of the meal, still crisp and sugary and filled with maybe a cream cheese icing? And the ice cream was the perfect touch. Sadly, the new owners of this restaurant have turned me from a "regular" to a "never again" in one visit. When I received my check, I was surprised to see a surcharge for credit card usage when there was no warning on the menus my wife and I used when ordering. When I raised this I got a lot of double talk about how there were new owners and this was something they are changing but no reasonable answer about why they changed this before providing fair warning to customers. Food delicious was upscale Mexican. The island bar is a focal point of a classy interior. My dining companion had lobster and shrimp enchiladas, and I had a carnitas chile relleno. The lobster in the enchiladas was the real deal cooked baja style. My chile relleno was baked and the carnitas stuffing was flavorful and authentic. Two drawbacks here were noise and staff treating the dining room as if it were a back of the house area. Noise from the street on this corner location is LOUD. Staff was ferrying supplies from the parking lot right through the dining area and staff were having conversations right in front of guests as if they were in the kitchen.
