Very excited to finally find an authentic Mexican restaurant with great quality and delicious dishes! We have come here twice now and both times our food has been fantastic. They make their own tortillas which I always appreciate. We have tried the taquitos, the huarache and the enchiladas. Everything was excellent, the taquitos were my favorite. I've been wanting to go to this place since forever, and final got the chance to on a day I was really craving chilaquiles. Came here for Sunday brunch with a group of friends, and it was packed! If it's your first time here, they'll tell you to grab a table before ordering at the front counter. The restaurant is pretty small, but they have some outdoor seats too. The staff here is absolutely incredible, and the most sweetest people ever! I got the chilaquiles without the egg, and it was pretty reasonably priced. Once you order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring the food out to your table. It took about 10-15 minutes for our food to arrive, which was reasonable, and we were so excited for it. Needless to say, I nearly devoured my chilaquiles. The sauce they put on it was creamy, and they also gave me a hot sauce that really tied it all together. My favorite part of it all, was the thickness of their tortilla chips that allowed it to stay crispy for a majority of my meal. We've always seen this spot but had never tried it, so we decided to check it out on Mother's Day. They were BUSY, but still moved quickly to get the line down. The restaurant itself is pretty small inside, you order first, then they bring the food to your table. Even with how packed it was, the wait honestly wasn't bad at all. My wife, who's pregnant, saved us a table while I waited in line to order, and Fidel, who I'm assuming is the manager, was very nice and welcoming. He checked up on us a few times even though he wasn't our server, and was very personable asking about our baby. The food was AMAZING. I'm so glad we decided to stay. I had the carnitas Benedict, which was delicious and packed with flavor. My wife had the El Chupon burrito, which was also amazing. Then the beautiful decor of this cozy restaurant owned by a lovely couple that ensures the whole experience from greeting to eating is delicious. Yesterday was our first visit with many future visits to come. My gf ordered and loved the chicken fajitas plate. I ordered the incredible chili verde. The meat melted away from the bone and jump onto my plate along with its wonderful spices and green sauce. It was devoured in a flash!!! In addition, the care they all took including the cooks in the back to accommodate my dairy allergy was amazing and so appreciated. Delightful place! Friend is a beloved regular so we were well taken care of. Alexa , the owner, and all her staff were superb. Such a great menu. Wish I could have eaten everything. First of all we got mimosas galore. Tried blood orange , pomegranate and watermelon. Best was watermelon. Their lilac almond coffee was also good. Friend enjoyed her horchata. We drank too many mimosas and forgot our lattes that we were able to get in to go cups. Alas. I got the papas cargadas. The potato/ egg/ cheese/ bacon/ avocado / sauce / sour cream and whatever else was in it was just delicious. Friend 1 got her usual bfast burrito. We tried it. Fantastic. Very good chorizo! I have been wanting to try this restaurant based on their Yelp reviews and today was the day. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and we chose to try out Chuponcito. It turns out it was taco Tuesday as well ! They offer 3 soft or crunchy tacos with your choice of protein for $10 so I ordered a chicken tinga, carnitas and beef taco. All were delicious! They also offer buy one alcoholic beverage ( beer, wine or sangria) and get the second one free. Such a great deal! My husband ordered the chimichanga beef burrito and he really enjoyed his selection too. We will definitely be back as I want to try their breakfast options. They need a way better seating policy. absolutely unacceptable. We were waiting in line, ordered our food, and someone had put their stuff down to "reserve" the table, when it is completely packed. And they hadn't ordered yet. It should not be like that. There should be proper seating, where ONCE you order, you go find your table. If you don't get a table then you wait your turn. We ask the staff if we can put personal items to reserve a table and she said yes??? What sort of service is that ?!? They should have a host. Or someone guiding it. What a find! This restaurant is absolutely fantastic... the quality of the food along with nice presentation and authentic flavors make this a standout. From the fresh tortilla chips with delicious salsa to the many choices of entrees you will not be disappointed. The fajitas are by far the best I've ever had. Tender and tasty steak with succulent shrimp along with veggies, rice and beans are phenomenal. My guest had outstanding Carnitas Tamales which he said were excellent, so fresh and great flavor . If I could give this place more than 5 stars I totally would! It's a cute little breakfast spot that my friend took me too. She did say it is owned by an older married couple. I always love that mom and pop shop feel. It's modern and Mexican. Mi gente! The places coming into the shop smelled delicious with aromas of spices and coffee. The employees there were all so nice and I asked if it was okay for me to take some photos for Yelp and they said absolutely. They're hospitable and so welcoming! Chuponcito is such a hidden gem! Tucked away in a small shopping center, it's one of those spots you might easily miss but you'll be so glad you found it. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, and honestly, they were the best I've ever had. The shredded chicken was juicy and tender, the red sauce was full of flavor, and everything came together perfectly. I usually don't eat rice and beans with my dish but the rice and beans here were a great complement to the enchiladas. The house chips and salsa were also fantastic - I must have filled myself on too many of these before my meal arrived. Last minute lunch date to celebrate our wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile. Always a great start!! While we were deciding our order, the gentleman said to seat ourselves and he would bring over chips and salsa. The chips were soooooo good. House made and seasoned perfectly. Disappointed. I usually have a good experience here but I was really disappointed with this plate. The menu didn't describe this dish as everything mixed together, so I was picturing hash browns, eggs, bacon, sour cream as a regular breakfast plate... but apparently they mix everything together and dump in a TON of cheddar cheese so it comes out looking like a plate of vomit. I instantly said "oh.... This looks bad" When the server set it down. She chose to ignore that and avoided the table for twenty minutes, then ignored my plate still sitting almost completely untouched on the table after everyone else had eaten everything. $70 for two breakfast plates and two coffees is pretty insane for such poor customer service and lack of clarity on the menu.
