This is one of my favorite pizzas in OC and they've apparently been here at the same spot for over 20 or 30 years (forgot the exact). Love their pizza and will keep coming back. Empanadas are also really good. Chicken and beef are our favorites.

Empanada variety

These empanadas are the best I've ever had. They are filled with only the tastiest of all fillings. The flavors are balanced, seasoned, and paired magically. The dough is baked, not fried like most empanada places I find. I love that. It makes it so much less greasy and heavy. If you order many different flavors, they code the empanadas by their braided seal. Easy to figure out and no surprises when you order a mix and match. The pizza was also good, but it had oregano much my kids were not a fan of. It also did not live up to the quality and mind blowing flavor of the empanadas.

Discovered this spot while waiting for our car repair and we've been coming back since! Super quick service, empanadas come in a pizza box. Stays pretty fresh even when we take it home to go but it's best eaten fresh. Very flaky and crispy dough and generous filling. We got the beef, chicken, and spinach empanadas and they're all very different! My favorite is the beef and spinach empanadas.

Our delicious Choripan!

One of my favourite restaurants in Lake Forest. I went with my girlfriend back in late June and we got a collection of empanadas along with their Choripan sandwich and everything was absolutely delicious. The seasoning, dough, and overall flavour of the empanadas was perfect and the sauces (including a lovely chimichurri) made them all the better. The empanadas don't skimp on the filling and every bite is packed full of flavour! Empanada Man has been #1 spot for empanadas for over a decade now and it hasn't lost its touch at all. We got Chicken, Beef, and Saltena empanadas and the Choripan was the perfect conclusion to a sumptuous meal, a lovely sandwich that had just the right amount of toppings. I had a brief opportunity to meet the owner, Roxana who was very friendly and welcoming and made us both feel very at home. Thanks for the lovely food and the happy memories, we'll be back! ^^

Amazing and very fast service! The person ringing us up was very sweet and helped us order as it was our first time here. Would definitely be returning.

Tried some more. Here are the overall ratings... Excellent... - Ricotta Mushrooms (nice creaminess and sufficient amount of mushrooms; overall robust flavor) Great... - Chicken - Beef (flavorful ground beef; nice touch of diced hard-boiled eggs inside) Good... - Chili Verde Pork (decent overall) - Hawaiian (ham pineapple) Meh... - Shredded Steak (pot roast; not much flavor) - Pepperoni Sausage (no tomato sauce! Mushy veg; not much flavor) - Spinach (not much flavor) - Saltena (didn't care for the overall flavor) - Potato (diced potatoes and onions; not much flavor) Still need to try... - Chorizo and Eggs - Bacon and Eggs - Ham and Cheese - Margarita - Corn Chowder - Shrimp I felt the pepperoni pizza was average. My wife thought it was pretty good. I liked that they had Blue Moon beer. My wife liked the mini bottle of Prosecco.

Lunch was $$, not too bad for a sandwich, chips and a drink.

I was really happy with the food and the service, and the lunch special was reasonable. . A colleague of mine recommended the meatball sandwich, which is a little unique. It has sautéed peppers in it. A Delicious twist. I really enjoyed it. My company always gets Catering from here, their empanadas are fantastic. The food was so good that I brought a group of colleagues back the next day. I tried the pastrami sandwich, which was good, but not as good as the meatball.

This pizzeria is a gem in Southern Orange County! The Mexican and Chicken Pesto pizzas are great. Make sure to try the beef empanada too.

I ended up buying a dozen and selected about five different varieties. One thing I really appreciated was how easy they make it to identify each flavor. I asked if they could label the empanadas, and they explained that each one is stamped with a unique number. Your receipt then lists the corresponding number and flavor, so there's no guessing when you get home. In addition to their hot, ready-to-eat empanadas, they also offer take-and-bake options, which is perfect if you want to enjoy them fresh from your own oven later. Great selection, thoughtful organization, and delicious food--I'll definitely be back!

The pastry is not flaky or delicious. At $7 an empanada, I demand flaky and delicious. Also, charging $2 to use a debit card is pure greed. No other small business I've encountered does this. Your cost to run my debit card is not $2. I get that running a business in Mission Viejo is expensive but this business owner decided to take it out on their customers. Pure greed. Definitely would not recommend.

Stellar Service and Exquisite Food!…read more I came into Villa Roma for dinner around 6:00 PM, absolutely famished. I was thrilled to be seated right away and given the choice of where to sit. My waitress was a beautiful, bilingual, and incredibly friendly woman named Berenice. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and clearly has a wonderful rapport with the regulars and locals. Taking her recommendation, I ordered the Entraña steak dinner plate (cooked medium) with a side of crunchy garlic fries, along with empanadas and fried calamari to start. The pacing of the meal was fantastic. The empanadas were brought out immediately, followed closely by the calamari. The flavors were so exquisite that I completely cleared both appetizer plates while enjoying my water! My main entrée arrived very shortly after. Because I enjoyed the starters so much, I was too full to finish it, but I tasted the steak and a few fries. The steak was perfectly soft and absolutely delicious! I packed the rest to-go, and ended up ordering two extra meat empanadas and a Coke Zero (partly because I needed to break a $20 bill so I could leave a cash tip!). In total, everything came out to $93.72, including the tip. I don't treat myself to a meal out like this even once every three months, but I am so glad I came. The entire staff works seamlessly together to make sure all customers are attended to super fast. I am officially a huge fan and will absolutely be back--especially for their half-price empanada Tuesdays and buy-one-get-one-free pizza Wednesdays. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Empanadas: Spinach empanada, the filling was to wet, too milkiy spinach not trimmed enough, and it tasted worse since it was fried. Had they controlled the picadillo prep, it wouldn't be milky. Chicken empanada- This did not taste as our traditonal empanadas, way too many spices and it was spicy, we do not do spicy, we do flavor. Chicken tasted sandy. Choripan: Poor meat quality, too chewy and grainy, I felt like I was eating sand. Bread overdone. Rusa: Bland. Overpriced for what you get and for the quality of the food. Keep it authentic, don't re-invent the wheel. I give it 2 stars for still having some great products at the market, free parking and pleasant service, but my goodness, your prices are too high compared to other Argentina establishments.

This was our first visit…read more Very kind and helpful people was our first impression. Very comfortable and quiet seating arrangements. We like the booths. We tried the lamb stew, and the chicken soup. All were prepared amazingly fast. But the lamb seemed very freshly cooked along with the white beans served with the lamb. The rice we didn't like so much. It was dry and hard like eating rice in a country that doesn't normally cook rice that much. The service was attentive and excellent. The menu is extensive and one of the things that makes a first time visit very challenging....the menu has so many choices that it was very complicated to make a choice. I wanted to try the TAMAL but it appeared on the menu by itself and not as a combination...it must be very large....but I decided against it in case it was too small to be a meal. Thank you Reynaldo.

Stir fried veggies with French fries was really good. Everyone enjoyed the foods.
