This is the side plate that comes with the fajitas; it had flour tortillas, beans, rice, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole
Grace S.

This was my first time but two out of five of us had been here before so they recommended a few things before we all ordered. The restaurant is located in a shopping center in Foothill Ranch and it's quite large with booths on one side and tables on the other. It's clean and welcoming; you order and pay at the counter and they give you a number then bring the food to your table. The girl at the cash register was quick and helpful and the overall service was quite fast, considering there was about 6 people in front of us. My husband ordered the Carnitas burrito (wet), I ordered triple combo along with my friend who ordered the same. Mine came with a tamale, chile relleno, and chicken taquitos and his had a beef taco instead of the tamale. One of our friends ordered the fajitas, and another order the crispy potato tacos. I tried to get photos of everyone's plates but managed to get only a few. The food was served very hot, the salsa bar was fresh and filled with four different salsas including pico de gallo--their green guacamole salsa was delicious as was their house red salsa. We got chips and a small thing of guacamole for the table that was complementary. But overall, the winner for me was their chile relleno! The sauce that came with it was tomato based but nothing like an enchilada sauce, it was fresh and light and it had a nice egg batter but the impressive texture was the chili was tender and the cheese inside was silky and melted and just perfect! I can't tell you how many places I've tried where the peppers were too tough to cut with a fork and the cheese inside was a solid clump--but this place made them perfectly and they were excellent! I'll go back just to get the chile relleno's! My husband said the burrito was OK but the carnitas are not the best we've had, but he was satisfied. Our friend who had the fajitas said they were good! Everybody was quite satisfied; it was a very good lunch!

Cuca's Mexican Food never lets my husband and I down; whether it's on the American made "Taco Tuesday", if I'm just looking for a fresh salad or some good ole tamales...they are always a winner! Cuca's is in the center with Taco Bell and Del Taco isn't far but what I love about Cuca's is they don't nickel and dime you because you ask for onions which should already be included on Mexican food unless you don't want it. So if you are in the area; don't waste your money on the fast food chains; hit up Cuca's where you'll enjoy real native Mexican cuisine! In addition to the good food, the service is always good and you can eat inside or outside; a great dinning experience either way!

Carne Asada burrito

So disgusting!!!! Meat is literally gray and tastes weird and chewy. I wish I had a refund for this insult of a carne asada burrito. Go anywhere else but here.

Restroom likely not fully accessible.

I hate giving bad reviews, but I have to be honest. I was craving some Mexican food and decided to try Cuca's. I regret it. I live in a place with very diverse , rich, flavorful Hispanic and Latin American food. Cuca's is very, very Americanized leaving much to be desired flavor wise. Now, maybe it was just the chicken quesadilla I ordered, and for comparison, Taco Bell quesadillas have more flavor. Personally, I would not risk ordering something else to see if it is more flavorful. Also, random side note, I am not sure the restroom is ADA compliant. You open the door and the urinal is less than 2 feet from the door. Not sure a wheelchair could easily get in.

Stopped in for lunch. Had two chicken tacos. Very reasonably priced. The tacos were great and the jalapeño salsa was great.

Delicious food and great quality ingredients. They have reasonable prices and a killer taco Tuesday deal. Very clear and beautifully decorated

Carne asada fries

I haven't been here in a while but I always think about their carne asada fries haha. They have the best ones I've tried. My favorite part is that they actually use real cheese and not nacho cheese. Fries are sooo good and the carbs asada is good compared to most places in OC. Their chips are served warm and the guacamole is delicious!! The salsa bar is my favorite. I love that it's self serve and they have everything you need. They have updated the restaurant and I love what they did with the place. It was very clean! The workers are always friendly, I have yet to have a bad experience here.

I had been seeing La Tia Tacos popping up here in South OC. Curiosity got the kids and I when we…read moresaw that they had birria. We have our go-to Mexican joints down here and typically stick to them, but recently had to add La Tia Tacos to our rotation. La Tia Tacos in Foothill Ranch, is in the town center's food court where Rubio's used to be. La Tia's is bright and airy, colorful and modern. The restaurant space has dining inside and outdoors in their own patio as well as the food court seating. There is an awesome salsa bar off to the side. The salsas and veggies are all home made from scratch. They're absolutely delicious. Refillable drinks are available at the soda fountain, some in bottles at the register too, but the star beverage for me is that fresh brewed tea. I have to get a large cup every time in case they start closing up and toss it out, which happened once. What we've ordered: 1) quesabirria tacos - 5/5. They have a special plate that comes with three quesabirrias and consome for $11.99. Add fresh chopped onions and cilantro, squeeze some lime, dip and enjoy. So good. 2) blackened shrimp taco - 5/5 3) carnitas taco - 5/5 4) la tia bowl with carnitas - 4/5. I liked everything about this but wasn't a really huge fan of the sauce. 5) la tia plate with carnitas - 5/5. I enjoyed this one. Comes with beans and rice. Perfect with the red onions and the marinated carrots from the salsa bar. Served with corn tortillas. The menu has a lot to offer and is bound to have something for everyone in your party. Since discovering La Tia, we've literally been there almost every week. I still have a lot of other food items to try and I'm sure we'll get to that. The service has been good and the lady at the front remembers my family. She greets us with a big smile every time we see each other which makes for a pleasant experience.

Their salsa is great, which is typically my prerequisite The meat also seems to be good quality, though all we have tried is the asada so I can't speak for anything else. Very friendly and the staff were basically moving like Spider-Man around the tables. The food was excellent and very fresh and tasty. It was so good that we came back the next day for the Sunday brunch! We really loved the fish tacos, which were out of this world. Neck and neck with that are the Chihuahua tacos where the meat was tender, and the cheese was charred into the tortilla to give it a very wonderful flavor,, kinda like Iron Man blasted it himself to get that crust. We also tried the Carnitas tacos and a couple of others, which are also very tasty. This Sunday brunch was lovely and our favorite was the steak ranchero and the ceviche, as well as the corn cake. But basically the whole buffet was excellent,, felt like an actual feast in Asgard. We had a Diablo margarita and that was excellent! definitely hit with a kick like the Hulk tbh. One of the two days we sat outdoors, and it was lovely with plenty of space. The second day we had a nice booth and there was plenty of space and seating was very comfortable. basically as chill as hanging at the Avengers compound. Definitely five stars!

We started with a carne asada burrito, Adam's 50/50 burrito, chopped salad with carne asada, and Sonoran style hot dog but no bun and on a bed of lettuce. Food was great, along with the super spicy salsa and salsa verde. Second round for the guys included 3 tacos (carnitas, barbacoa, al pastor) and loaded fries with barbacoa. I would continue to support this great business. As we dined in, we observed their great customer service as well. They treat everyone cordially like family. They remember their regulars' names and orders. A couple kids came in to show their good report cards so they could get free treats (they were so polite and respectful kids - looked like they were in junior high). Oh, they mentioned to a customer that today is their 2-year anniversary. We'll be back to support them!

The restaurant itself is pretty small inside, you order first, then they bring the food to your table. Even with how packed it was, the wait honestly wasn't bad at all. This is one of the few times I've been hesitant to leave a review because I don't want a secret…read morespot to become busy, but sunny up cafe definitely deserves more attention. There's some real talent and creativity going on in the kitchen. Gas station food has no right being this delicious and the fancy presentation and plating was a pleasant surprise. There are parking spaces around the edge of the gas station or a few somewhat cramped parking spots right in front of the entrance. You can enter through either door and the cafe is 4 small tables at the back of a gas station. You order at the counter and after we were seated we got some freshly fried chips along with a delicious bean dip. The breakfast burrito is definitely a contender for the best in Orange County. I went with bacon and sausage and the combination of meats, sauces, and potatoes was perfect. It had a great balance of flavors and textures and managed to be decadent without being overly fatty or saucy. The grilled exterior and presentation added to the experience. Salt levels and seasoning were great for all the ingredients and the sausage was particularly good in the breakfast burrito. Their eggs Benedict was also well executed with the poached eggs perfectly cooked and an excellent hollandaise sauce. This place is a bit out of the way so I also got a couple of tacos to go because I was too full to eat anymore. They have both larger tacos as well as street tacos. I got the larger asada tacos and they had too much meat for my preference. The meat was delicious as was the salsa from the self serve salsa bar. While this cafe doesn't have the ambience(or the high price tag)of a trendy brunch spot, the food can definitely compete.
