My experience at eating at Mr. Wok. First impression, the place is clean. I feel that I was the first customer that day and it had been freshly cleaned before opening. Atmosphere: 4 Stars. For what it was, it was clean. The mirrors on the wall visually created the idea of more space. The food looked fresh. Security was good. Service: 4 Stars the asian attendant was competent. I feel that her English language skills were a work in progress but it was functional. Quality: 3 Stars. It is cheap chinese food. I came there for I came there for it. I prefer the rice to the noodles but to each their own. The food was FRESH. A bit oily in its textures. I was neither disappointed or impressed, except for the freshness of it all. Value: 4 Stars. I felt that the dollar per calorie ratio was good. I paid $10.34 for a one item meal (according to their menu) that filled me up and left me with a small cup of leftovers. It was carbs and oil. The menu has more options on it for those who desire a great amount of protein. I feel that I will return at least once more to try their chicken and rice bowl.

This is not my usual take out Chinese spot, but I decided to give it a try. It was very good. The portions are plenty and it was affordable. Everything tasted fresh. The service was also good. My fave was the broccoli beef. I'd come back.

Couldn't wait to eat before taking a picture! SO GOOD! I've been looking for a place like this, fast casual, good portions, excellent customer service, even better price! WOW you've got a new customer! Food is delicious too. Hot and fresh!

Just like a private Panda Express. Fast Service. Employees are friendly, attentive, patient and helpful. Very generous and flavorful servings. I had 3 item combo $12.10 with fried rice and lo mein, Hunan Beef, Orange Chicken and Tangerine Beef. Actually the food was good. Tangerine Beef was bland though. Very clean and welcoming dining room with light music playing. Will be back.

    Quick mini bowl for here

The fellas wanted some Chinese food after workout / rolling in the park. Wasn't too keen on it but hungry nonetheless. I got their mini bowl for $5 orange chicken and noodles. Simply put, it hit the spot and the amount given as well as the typical quality of a Chinese express type of restaurant, checked the boxes for me to leave content and enough too hold me off until my next meal. Like I said the quality is what you expect, so nothing crazy good, just good enough to not warrant to not go back. Service was good and quick. The inside well kept and clean. Was happy with what I got.

Food was mediocre. It's not to die for but will fill you up. You pay for what you get type of thing. Would I come back? Maybe.

I had the most amazing time at this restaurant! The restaurant was pretty packed but got seated immediately. I was craving dumplings and their dumplings were amazing and juicy but the stand out for me was the beef noodle soup! It had the best textured noodles that I've had for some time and really tender beef slices. It was perfect with the chili oil that they had on the table. I loved that they have frozen dumplings that you can take home and I will definitely plan for that next time.

I recommend going for the pan-fried dumplings…read more Because they used the same seasoned meat filling across most of their popular dishes (XLB, pan-fried gyoza, wonton, shumai)...the variation between these dishes is minimal and your palate will be numbed by the copy-and-paste flavors. They all start to taste the same. Quite disappointed at the dumpling wrapper / skin... which is as important as the filling. They over steamed / cooked the shumai, XLB, and wonton so the dumpling skins were too soft, almost mushy. Maybe some people prefer this texture? Smashed cucumber has large portion, flavor is quite light compared to Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty versions. Din Tai Fung and Paradise Dynasty are more expensive, but their quality and flavor are better so I would still go there for my dimpling cravings. Staff is friendly. Maybe try other dishes besides dumplings...

Shanghai style smoked fish ($16.5) - This fish isn't smoked, rather it's deep fried twice creating an extremely crispy exterior and is dipped in a sweet soy sauce. It's a unique tasting appetizer, perfect for sharing. Sauteed string beans with garlic ($13.5) - These beans had a slight crunch and are a great veggie option. Steamed fish and shrimp dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is a good option if one is looking to get their dumpling fix. Steamed veggie dumplings ($14.50 - 8 pieces) - This is another good dumpling option that tastes great. However the dumplings aren't that filling themselves. Braised beef shank noodle soup ($16.50) - Made with braised beef, pickles, cilantro, bok choy, green onions, noodles and a savory and spicy beef spot, this dish is perfect for a cold day. Crispy beef rolls ($15 - 6 pieces) - This consisted of tender beef, cucumbers, scallions, and a savory sauce all rolled in a crispy and flaky scallion pancake. It's one of my favorite items here. Kung pao chicken ($16) - This stir fried dish is prepared with tender chicken, peanuts, and spices and is my favorite dish here. Sweet and sour chicken ($16) - I was impressed with the quantity of chicken in this dish. It was perfectly prepared with a crispy batter and a tangy and sweet sauce that really hit the spot! Pineapple beef ($16) - This consisted of tender and thin pieces of beef stir fried with some pineapple and is another solid dish to get here. Chocolate mochi xiao long bao ($11 - 5 pieces) - These chewy dumplings had a wonderful chocolate filling. Rose flavored red bean buns ($14 for 3) - I felt these were pricey but they had a good amount of filling and the bao bun was soft and fluffy. Golden egg custard buns ($13.5 for 3) - These are similar to the red bean buns, except the inside has egg custard. I really wish they doubled or tripled the custard, because the amount they give is miniscule, and it's for that reason I would pass on these. Overall I'm impressed with many of the items here and the pricing is reasonable. Even though I've tried so many dishes here, I wish they had even more offerings that didn't have pork. I'll definitely be back.

The BBQ meats are great, from the Roast Duck and Char Siew to the Roast Pork, but be advised, they are not cheap despite being a "Hole in the Wall". The rest of the food is typical steam table stuff, fried rice, fried noodles string beans, tofu veg etc. Good if you time it right out of the kitchen, but usually it has been sitting there while the expiration begins. BTW, that comment regarding microwaving the food back to hot, in the case of roast duck and char siew, that is entirely accepted practice since these roasts could have been hanging in the cabinate since mid morning when they came out from the oven. As I said, the expiration begins...just an unfortunate case of the Insufficiently Informed Panda Customer.
