The portions are great, and its one of the few locations where you arent stuck having to order on a kiosk. I enjoy having lunch here. I'm not a fast food fan by any means, but this El Pollo Loco location impressed me. It doesn't really belong in the same category as Taco Bell or Del Taco. Usually you walk into those places and know exactly what you're getting... tiny, greasy food that screams "fast food." It's different here. The burritos I've had at this spot were surprisingly solid. Good size, packed with ingredients, and pretty flavorful. Honestly, they felt closer to something you'd expect from a step up Mexican cafe. I wish they'd work on the ordering experience and the interior though. Right now, it still feels very McDonald's-like, cheap and rushed. If you're craving Mexican but don't feel like going to a bigger restaurant, this El Pollo Loco can actually hit the spot pretty well. read more

Stop cutting corners and serving burnt chicken to customers. I've had 2 recent bad experiences at this location. A few months ago my aunt and uncle drove down far away to visit me after I got out of the hospital. They were buying 2 containers of 8 pieces of chicken each. They did not look at the chicken before walking out. They arrive to my house and to my horror EVERY SINGLE piece of chicken in each container was BURNT to a crisp! We all go outside to eat in the backyard. I ate half of a piece of chicken and just dropped it on my plate. It wasn't edible. So disgusting. The only one that enjoyed the chicken was my dog! My aunt and uncle spent $40 on 16 pieces of burnt chicken. I want their money back! A few weeks back, I went to this location and I ordered a loco salad. The picture shows tortilla strips on top of the salad and in the description it says tortilla strips. When I pick up this order the girl looks at my bag and reads the receipt then looks back into the bag and looked confident all items I requested were there. I get back to my car and realize she forgot my salsa (which is just diced tomatoes and doesn't taste good). So I get the salsa and go back to my car. I don't see the tortilla strips anywhere on my salad so I walk back in again and ask for tortilla strips. She walks over to the trough and grabs crushed chips and puts it in a clear sandwich bag. Best way to compare it is it looks like all the crap at the bottle of the cereal box. I'm like where are the tortilla strips? Some male employee jumps in the conversation and said these are tortilla strips. I'm like those are crushed chips. I want the tortilla strips that are advertised in the app website description and picture. He goes what picture? The picture above your head. It's adverting tortilla strips not crushed chips. He just says that's what we use. I leave and am completely annoyed they didn't provide what was advertised. I hadn't had a salad all year so I was excited to eat the salad with tortilla strips. I ate the salad with the crushed chips and it definitely wasn't the same. The next day I went out of my way to drive 13-15 mins to another el pollo loco. I walked in and asked if they have tortilla strips. She has trouble understanding English so the female manager steps in. So she hands me a little white bag that says el pollo loco and inside are in fact tortilla strips! What is going on here? Why is one location providing the correct product and the other is cutting corners??? I emailed el pollo loco on their website regarding this matter. The HR Director Claudia left me a voicemail a few business days later. I called her back and left her a voicemail and requested her to call me back. I never heard back from her. No missed calls/voicemails or email so I'm posting this review and not removing it. If I could give these experiences a zero star rating I would. I HR is supposed to set high standards for this company. I'm not sure why she is an HR Director when she doesn't follow through on anything. Nothing was done here by HR. I've already told all my friends about these experiences at this location. Extremely disappointed Olivia, I already submitted this request on your website which is how HR got my number. To top it all, This 1 person who appears to be a supervisor is very rude. Instead of apologizing after messing up our order, She instrad elected to purposely, make us wait for a long time, Saying "your chicken is being cooked". I don't go to El Pollo Loco much... Because I'd much rather prefer my fried chicken. I love most things fried... Don't you agree that fried tastes so much better? Lol. I've got to say that El Pollo Loco has good quality, tasty, healthy chicken. I came here today for their new item: the Chickenless Tacos. They have been marketing their new street tacos, and it will fit whatever diet you're on- keto, paleo, vegetarian. They also have Pollo Fit Bowls, but those all include chicken. The Chickenless Tacos come in 2 for $7.49. I thought they were average, but they were salty and oversauced which made them soggy. If I get them again, I'll opt for less sauce or sauce on the side. I also got a regular side of guac and chips with my order, which was okay. I probably wouldn't get it again. I prefer the Beyond Meat tacos from Del Taco. They taste so real it's scary. Surprisingly, the guac and chips at Del Taco are amazing. You've got to try them yourself. Happy eating! read more

I use to love this restaurant, but I have been changing my diet and it wasn't my jam anymore. We got the 14 piece family meal dinner, and it was priced well in my opinion. The macaroni and cheese tasted like they used Velvetta cheese and was too thick. The coleslaw was not for me, but coleslaw is subjective. He said I received pints and could not used the $10. The. Why did app redeem my $10. First religion should not be used at work during work hours, second thank you for crediting me the $10. But frustration could have been avoided instead of flashing the point slip in my face. They refused to honor their own $1 off coupon for taking their survey. Even though it clearly states you get $1 off if you spend $5, and I was spending $6. So I posted a negative review about this on yelp. They commented telling me to contact the company through the website. Which I did. Then no one from the company got back to me. Then somehow they got my valid review deleted! So I am reposted this complaint. And I stand by my review. Don't give out coupons and then refuse to honor them. Today someone from El Polo Loco called me. I explained my bad experience to them over the phone, and how they are false advertising with coupons and then refusing to honor them. Ordered a family meal with 3 large sides and some tortilla. The employee taking the order made sure the order was correct by repeating the order back to us. Before the food was packed into bags, she showed us all the items to allow us to check if there was anything missing and that the order was accurate. When she repeated it, I had to ask her to repeat it again because she spoke too fast and I could barely understand her. She got it wrong and I corrected the order. Ten minutes later when I inquired about the order, they told me it was not entered. Then when I got the food, the order was wrong and they had charged me for an extra piece of chicken I never ordered. I was told to stand back in line and bring my food back. Forget it.
