On this lovely New Year's Eve, my boyfriend and I decided to go get some work done at a cafe instead of sitting in our home office all day (sometimes that change of scenery really does provoke you to be the most productive version of yourself). I ordered one of their holiday specials which was a Misteletoe Cake Batter iced latte with almond milk. I will start by saying, order a medium or small. Their large comes in a bucket with an impressively sized straw. The latte was good - but very sweet. I couldn't taste the coffee at all in my drink, which doesn't elicit a huge complaint out of me since I do enjoy things that are sweet. Their homemade syrups really do make the difference with their drinks. Although sweet, I still enjoyed the drink a lot. I would rate it a solid 7.5 out of 10. For food, I got a bacon egg and cheese on a gluten free bagel which was really good! This would certainly get a rating of 9/10 for me. I was pleasantly surprised with how durable the bagel was even though it was gluten free. The cheese and the bacon were crispy in all the right places. Overall, this southie cafe is a really great place to come do some work and get some good eats!! Be aware if you plan on driving, it is only street parking as the walgreens next door is privately owned and has a tow truck that routinely patrols the parking lot (which is posted to be for walgreens customers only with a time limit of one hour parking). However, the street parking is 2 hour limit (m-f) with no limit on weekends. I would recommend taking the bus if you can because there is a bus stop right outside the door. There is unfortunately no T stop close by if you're coming by train. read more

From the delicious food and lattes, to the lovely ladies behind the counter, to the decor, to meeting the friendly and beautiful owner, Marissa and former owner, Kathy, we were so enamored by this place. They truly made us feel welcome and were so kind. They even gave us recommendations for our trip. To Marissa, thank you for your friendliness and making us feel so at home. To Kathy, I think I owe my allegiance to you, you are such a force! Everyone we encountered at the bar was so friendly too and willing to chat with us. We had such a great time. Last thing I'll mention is the avocado toast was to die for. Their kale smoothie with banana was delish. And I am absolutely obsessed with their hot Raspberry Vanilla Latte, I want to have it every day for the rest of my life. I'm thinking about it right now. Coffee came out quick but the food took a long time. Went on a Saturday but wasn't too busy. A lot of coffee options to include a lot of syrup options. Bacon, egg, cheese was tiny ! Lox was surprisingly hearty and dense. Would come but wouldn't get the sandwich again. read more

it is definitely a busy spot on the weekends but me and my boyfriend agreed this was the first coffee spot we have tried in southie where the "flavored beans" actually had flavor!! I got the snickerdoodle flavored cold brew (since it's in the beans and not a syrup there's no added sugar!) with sugar free vanilla and it was INSANE! he got a nitro with regular vanilla and also loved it! will definitely be back soon. read more

breakfast sandwich has extra hidden fees. they give you plenty of choices for bread but dont tell you that if you order it on a bagel they'll charge you extra, on a croissant, extra. Only after i ordered and was paying my bill did I note the extra charges. You're better off going to American Provision a couple of blocks away. Better sandwich at a better price. Service is decent, nice people but food is meh at inflated prices. read more

Bubba Biscuit on a bagel is the move but, proceed with CAUTION!! This bagel not only packs a punch of flavor but also a massive Yolk Load! After taking your first bite of this masterpiece you will be covered in the runny egg. I like to think of this as a necessary evil hehe! I want to love this place but they are very inconsistent in quality. I attempt to get the same smoothie every time. One week I go and the smoothie is great and totally worth $10 and the next time I go in it's essentially frozen skim milk. Really great food and atmosphere. But service is horrible. Also you think with all this coronavirus stuff they would pull their hair back a little better and look more presentable. I like to sit at the bar but you have to ask for everything. And when you ask for a napkin their expression is a look of me inconveniencing them. I really do love the food and menu assortment, i just wish their service was better. There is only one women who knows how to treat customers. Their oatmeal chocolate chip and snickerdoodle iced coffee is truly addicting! I came here with friends and met the owner who happens to be my friend's aunt. The owner's daughter took our order and isn't half as friendly as the owner but she's a charm and the kale smoothie I ordered was the best kale smoothie you'll ever have, periodt.
