Came here on a Sunday around 11 am. It was very busy and there was a line out the door. The inside was a little chaotic so we just decided to order online because we were confused on where the line to order was. The menu has a variety of lunch sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches and drinks. They have gluten free options which is nice. I ordered the chipotle Cali turkey sandwich. I wish it was more a panini. The bread was just eh and I wish there was more flavor in the sandwich. The ingredients tasted fresh though. It came with chips which was nice. Our food took a decent amount of time to come out. About 30 minutes since ordering online. The inside was very crowded and had some inside seating. I would just order ahead next time. read more

Usually don't give bad reviews but I had a really bad experience here, so much that I won't be back. Very rude staff and made it very awkward to order. Asked us for our order and turned away while we were speaking to them so then when we went pay we had repeat everything we had just said because they turned away and did listen to a word we said. They had run out of the hot honey chicken by 11am on a Sunday which is strange. The coffee was fine, and the sandwich that we ordered was also just fine, pretty standard Because of the bad experience ordering I just couldnt wait for the food to come so I could leave but then we had to wait because they forgot about the cappuccino even though they weren't that busy. Coffee is okay. Unfortunately the staff at among the most unfriendly people I've met since living in Southie. It's like they make a point to be rude. I noticed it with everyone that came in, the employee couldn't hear what I was asking for or even let me finish ordering before turning their back on me. I'm mid sentence and they can't evens stop to fully hear what I'm saying so instead keeps turning back around "what? What? With what?" I can get it's busy and things are rushed but wow. Breakfast sandwich is 8 bucks - one weird egg, a bagel that couldn't be more plain and basic (think Thomas brand in the grocery store), and what seems like a frozen sausage patty. Seemed very low quality for the cost especially considering other options around. Ice Coffee was also very, very mediocre. Also got a hash brown that was cold and soggy. This is my first yelp review as I feel inclined to be honest about how the owner Olga herself is very unfriendly, and always has something to say. Easily the unfriendliest coffee shop I've visited in the 2 years I've lived in Southie, and I stand by this after yet another bad experience. Please do yourself a favor and listen to the several reviews claiming how rude the staff is. After leaving feeling uncomfortable after several poor encounters, I will not be returning. Update: it was outside food that we left with in our hands because it was UNEATEN!!!! We stopped in at food place on West broadway because we pass it by on our way and sat at a table drinking the coffee we paid for from your establishment. I got a Blue Raspberry Rickey which is a pretty cool and unique menu item to offer. It came out looking really pretty and tasting really good so I have no complaints. The little patio tables out on the sidewalk are a nice touch to enjoy your drink out on. Such a cute stop for a coffee shop!!! Food: I had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, but it tasted a bit hard rather than fresh. The cheese was very melty, but the rest of the sandwich didn't taste as fresh. Drinks: I had a snickerdoodle iced latte! So fun! I actually really like that they had so many options for iced coffee drinks. I would say their iced coffee drinks were maybe better than the food! Ambiance: there's a lawn-like evergreen overlay on the wall and a neon sign that says but first coffee! So a little cheesy, but I think it was cute. There's also outdoor seating. The food is not bad. Even though the grilled cheese is a bit different than what I expected, the taste is not bad. Just a bit salty to my taste. The indoor dining is horrible because their ventilation is horrible. The oily smell is everywhere and at the end, our eyes felt uncomfortable. After getting out of the restaurant, all of my clothes and my hair smell like oil. It's bad to dine in. They do have tables outside on the sidewalk though. Super cute spot but cooks did not pay attention to detail. We watched them give accidentally give out a gluten wrap to a gluten-free customer. We ordered 1 chicken bacon ranch sandwich and 1 chicken honey mustard sandwich but instead received 2 chicken bacon ranch ones. My husband stopped in to order takeout breakfast sandwiches for himself and my son. I am gluten-free so I thought I could go for the breakfast salad. There really wasn't a description on the website, but it was noted that you could add avocado, feta, and sliced onions. I asked my husband to see what the menu said in the cafe and to pass on it if it seem weird. I also asked him to add feta. There was no real description of the dish in the cafe, but he went for it anyway with feta. When he arrived home it was a small salad of quartered tomato slices, huge chunks of cucumber, and onion slices with an overcooked fried egg on top. No feta. There were dried spices sprinkled on the dish. No dressing. It was so weird. I guess it is called a breakfast salad because there is a fried egg over a dry "salad." The menu needs more clarification on the website and in the cafe. Eggs should be specified as fried or scrambled. My son thought his breakfast sandwich was waaaay too bready. It seems like a popular spot and the shop looks really cute. I would seek clarification about what you are ordering before you order. read more

Love this place. All three times i've been in the staff has been friendly, funny and efficient. The lattes are great, only had iced so far, and they have oat milk and other milk alternatives. The muffin I had was moist and the chocolate in the chocolate croissant was very good quality. Breakfast sandwhiches can come on many different types of bread but I had a bagel and it was perfect. They also have an these great treats and drinks from what-i-assume-to-be Greece. Can't go wrong with this place. read more

I totally agree with the reviews. This is definitely a gem. The hot coffee is great and the iced coffees just fly out of there so I tried it and I agree. There are dozens of flavors and it's not a flavor shot so it's more subtle and less sugar. The breakfast sandwiches are freshly made and delicious. I go there weekly for a sausage egg and cheese, and both the bagel and English muffin are terrific. I don't know where she gets her English muffins but it's really really good. And Olga is always there watching everything like a hawk. She didn't like the way my iced coffee looked and remade it. She's great. I love this place. And now she does soft serve ice cream too! read more
