We've been using it for 3 years now and it's a disappointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We've sent them feedback emails every time the system failed and they said they'll review and recover but no improvements over the years.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The main issue is the person who's watching the intrusion is either not reacting when a thief coming (like literally 20 sec to 2 minutes of full inaction), or they incoherently saying "this is deep sentinel" - like it's suppose to do anything and it doesn't. When they did react (always late), they haven't called the cops not a single time when we had intrusion on our private property (a guy tried to open our garage door at night, another person was stealing stuff from a trash bin right next to the entrance door at night). When it was obvious theif stealing amazon packages from the porch, the DS guiard after watching it for 20 seconds, introduced herself and wished him a good day (facepalm). Deep sentinel does less than a decent job. For the price, its not worth it. The AI detection is where most of the work is needed from them. It detects shade from trees, cats walking around the property, etc. It is too much alert fatigue to really believe their techs watch and review every video. Im afraid of the day I have cats walking around and shade while thieves are breaking into my property. There is no way they will be able to sift through the numerous alerts and catch anything on time. I like the idea of it, and the equipment seems good, but it seems the AI software needs a huge uplift. Its expensive and Im looking for another alternative. We have had the Deep Sentinel system since Spring 2024. I am so glad we made the decision to get it because we have had more peace of mind about the security of our home ever since which is invaluable. Our solar camera system (there is a hard wire option) is not perfect in terms of equipment features (no zoom feature), maintenance (changing camera batteries and solar panel placement to make sure there's enough sun when the seasons change), and occasional system blips, but these are not deal breakers for us. Deep Sentinel is the only company I know of that offers this level or kind of live guard service. Hello everyone! I want everyone to know that Deep Sentinel is not what they appear. I've got a very long 38 second video of multiple thieves trying to steal my car on my driveway. However guards did not intervene nor did they call police. They just watched and didn't do anything. They also made Excuses of the failed security lapse. And not taking accountability and blaming the customer for bad lighting and camera angle. This company also wouldn't address replacing my sunroof, crediting my monthly bill for the security lapse , or providing a free camera In hopes of gaining back my trust. I've been a customer for 4 years. Deep Sentinel is a great concept but fails to deliver in every other area. My DS1 system has been replaced numerous times due to failures tech support couldn't even fix. The app has a lot of issues, and tech support is pretty useless. The customer service has declined, with disappointments even at the corporate level. I tried upgrading to the DS2 system, and it was a complete disaster. Tech support was no help, never followed up as promised, and literally, the system failed me at every angle. The DS2 is not ready to be on the market (which you think they'd know), so I had to switch back to the DS1. The most recent disappointment with them is their price increase. Being a long-time customer, I had grandfathered rates of $1,200 a year for 4 cameras. That is now increasing to $250 a month. I thought $1,200 was high, but $250 a month is insane, especially for what you get with the poor customer service and unreliable system. Let's put it this way. Deep Sentinel is so unreliable that I have backup cameras to record when Deep Sentinel fails. Although they aren't monitored, they very rarely have any issues compared to Deep Sentinel. read more

use bother wireless and POE system. the wireless cameras are extremely poor quality. I've been paying for four cameras for maybe 6 months for surveillance and I've never had more than two operational because of the poor quality. the physical cameras constantly break. I'm in the middle of replacing broken cameras when one of my good ones fell off a mount and broke on the ground. constantly cutting out. unless they're within 20 feet of a wireless router they don't stay connected. I've been a Deep Sentinel customer since 2021 so far their live guards have missed 3 out of 4 events on my property resulting in an attempt to steal a truck by drilling out the door and ignition lock and then breaking the radio after they discovered the battery was dead the guards missed it all, they also missed the man at 1:30AM on the porch that stole my wind-chime when I asked how they could miss it they said they thought someone was visiting. Then they missed the man with the flashlight looking into the bed, backseat and front seat of the truck in the driveway the guard viewed the event but did nothing. They did warn off the homeless man walking up the driveway. The cameras are not the best for the price you pay for the cameras and monthly fees. I can't say enough how impressed I am with Deep Sentinel. While we live in a 'safe' area, our neighborhood and surrounding areas have as a rash of car break ins. I noticed a common theme that everyone would share videos on our community Facebook but nothing would happen because people wouldn't see the video until the next morning and the criminals would have their faces covered. In fact, our friends even shared a Ring video of the criminals breaking into their cars and their neighbors for 3+ minutes! However, at 330 am none of them saw the alerts until the mornings. That's when I started doing a search for home surveillance but the companies in Florida would only surveillance commercial property. That is, until I found Deep Sentinel. While we recently installed a new alarm for monitoring of doors, windows and smoke/fire detection... many of my family are in law enforcement and always say an alarm and is great at letting you know someone broke into your house and stole stuff but rarely results in a criminal being apprehended. Meaning that once someone breaks in to an average house, they are in and out in two minutes. Which is less time than it takes for an alarm to be verified and less than a police response, if they respond at all to a residential alarm which many cities and counties don't unless it is verified. They also tell me that the best security happens in layers. With Deep Sentinel being my out perimeter layer, I'm impressed with how quickly a Deep Sentinel guard is watching someone from the moment they enter our property. Aside from someone watching, people definitely take notice when the red rings starts circling they feel compelled to stare at it or identify themselves. Our home alarm recently thought it detected broken glass and dispatched to 9-1-1. In the interim, Deep Sentinel called my cell phone and had been monitoring the situation. While my sister in law was staying at the house dog watching, I told the officer that I had Deep Sentinel monitoring the property and could verify there wasn't anyone who broke into the house and was a false alarm. His response was "you're telling me someone is watching me right now and not just recording?" He thought it was pretty cool and asked a few questions. When I explained I was confident the alarm was a false alarm he did a quick perimeter check and agreed. In other words, I know I have AI and highly trained people watching my property the moment someone steps foot on to it. Deep Sentinel would be intervening and/or dispatching the police in less time than it would take for someone to break. M Unless you are available 24/7 to check all of your Ring notifications, I'd highly recommend Deep Sentinel to be watching your ouperimeter in real time! The concept is great. However there are quite a few flaws we are now encountering. One camera broke after a year for example. Two cameras are constantly going offline while our other non deep sentinel cameras never have this issue (also wi fi connected) The guards monitor but do not stop people in the property unless it's very obvious a break in is going to occur. For example if someone is going through a side gate at 300 am or weird hour they will not say anything. I confirmed this with a rep as well. They will only stop if they see someone trying to get in. That's great I guess if you have cameras on every single window. Finally there are no techs, your support is a phone call with basic assistance. Great concept-poor execution. read more

I've owned my Deep Sentinel system for nearly 2 years now, and I absolutely love it. From the design of their products, out of the box ease-of-installation, and most importantly piece of mind this incredible system provides for me and my family now whenever we're away from home, whether it's just for a few hours or for a few weeks when we're on vacation. The active security with Deep Sentinel is absolutely unparalleled - where patrol agents are actively monitoring your property at all times, providing warnings from actual agents live before dispatching authorities. But I'm writing this long delayed review for a couple of reasons! Those reasons are 2 customer service agents who assisted me with a trouble-shooting issue today. Their names are Bob and Rich, and they are absolutely phenomenal. Thankfully the Deep Sentinel system works so well that I almost never need to be in touch with technical support (I think this may only be the second time in 2 years, and each time they resolve the issue thoughtfully, professionally and quickly.) I have the three camera DS2 system, and have had a great experience. I love knowing that I have a team of security guards that have my back while I sleep or whenever I travel. The sense of security I feel is worth every penny. And while Deep Sentinel was one of the more pricy companies when I was originally shopping for a system, they are very comparable to other companies now. And they're better! Why? While most security companies alert you or call the cops if a break in happens, Deep Sentinel will deter the criminals and call the cops BEFORE the break in happens. You are alerted whenever the guards intervene on someone at your property or if they called the police. If you want to see what that looks like in reality, check out their Youtube "Stopped" series. I am a deep sentinel customer. System Ds2 is Horrible!!!!! Glitchy freezes up all the time you won't get your notifications. Camera sensors are terrible you need to directly in front of the camera about no more than 10 ft. Now I had the ds1 system previously worked good needed better night vision. I get an email a day before I pay my bill saying that they are upping their price from 49.00 to $200.00 to monitor my system ...... I have been a Deep Sentinel customer for years. In the beginning it was things were much better than they are now. Like other have said the concept is great, and things started off well, but as of late I am strongly thinking about canceling my service. The cameras will constantly go offline, despite the extender I bought, and my home is only 2,600 sq feet. Also lately the cameras have not even been picking up motion or turning on when someone is walking by them, unless you start doing jumping jacks 2 feet in front of them, this effectively makes the system useless. When the cameras do work, the Deep Sentinel guards do not intervene now like they use to unless someone is essentially banging down your door. I have had contractors carrying power tools, and no one ever says a thing. Another issue that has come up, is the system allows you to have the ability to shut off a camera, and now when i do that for privacy, it never works anymore, as the system randomly flips back on, and this seems to be one of the few times the system works, go figure... I use to be able to call a support person in a California that was very helpful, even when the company had less shortcomings, and you would get right through and have a fast resolution to the problem, now things are MUCH different. They are now outsourcing their customer service oversea to people that speak broken English at best, and can't help you with your problem. This company started out with good promise, and was an effective system at first. I even got my sister and others to sign up as I was a card carrying member, but has literally gone from a solid 8, down to a 2, or 3 at best. My sister and the friends I have signed up are ALL experiencing the same problems. To add insult to injury I have repeatedly asked for a manager in the states (not offshore) to call me and I have no response, even after being a loyal customer from the first year of the companies operation. Deep Sentinel has CLEARLY put profits ahead of quality and customer service, and in my opinion is shooting themself in the foot. This is a service that far exceeded my expectations. We recently had to evacuate from our home for over a week due to the wildfires burning in the area. It was very comforting to know that their professional guards were protecting pour home from looters while we were evacuated. Every day I received notifications on my phone app any time someone came by the house. Fortunately, our only visitors were the police who were swinging by to make sure everyone had evacuated and no one was taking advantage of the situation. The concept is great. The cameras are great as well. Setting up the cameras were easy. Here's when I encountered issues. The Hub requires you to connect it to you modem or router directly with a network cable. So if your setup is no where near the center, or close to the cameras, of the building your are in, the wireless connection between the cameras and the hub won't work properly or at all. The Hub and the cameras go offline even when the wifi in my home is solid and working properly. All my other devices work great. Now the App. NEVER worked for me. It keeps telling me that there is "No Internet Connection", which is not accurate. As mentioned before, my WiFi works great and all my other devices are consistently connected properly. The only reason I didn't give them a 1 star is because the customer service/Tech support is great. They are continuously trying to figure out what going on with the App. "Trying" is the key word here. It's been weeks and coming close to a month and my app still isn't working. read more

Sale Rep did not understand my needs, but focused on selling the products and services that do not answer my needs. Cancellation is not smooth like Amazon does. Tons of work for cancellation. 1. I Cancel an order within 3 business days is not good enought. Deep Sentinel did not stopped the shipment, did not remove the charge from my credit card even before the equipment arrived my door. I had to work with FedEx to refuse to receive, asked the shipment back to Sender, dispute the charge on my credit card, etc. 2. Deep Sentinel really wants to make a case - you receive the equipment, so that they use this as a reason, and will not remove charge on your credit card until the equipment is back to Deep Sentinel. Also, they reject to work with FedEx to stop the shipment as it is their SOP!!! So, I have to work with FedEx to protect my right and money. 3. Even I succesffuly refuse to receive the equipment, Deep Sentinel rejects to remove the charge on my credit card as I kick off 'Dispute' process with my credit card company. read more

I have used Ring before and while I think it's a good product, it makes you question how safe you really are because if you miss something, emergency services may not necessarily show up. With Deep Sentinel, you can have peace of mind knowing that a real human being will actually be looking at the same feed if need be. In terms of the sales process itself, I got to work with Greg K who was great to work with. He was patient in answering all of my questions and hyper responsive. The CS team is also strong. I'm an early adopter of this security solution. To me, the fact that someone else is always watching out for me when I'm busy, away from my phone, or sleeping has a lot of value. The system has "worked" numerous times. I haven't suffered any losses since I started using it. Maybe most importantly, our teen daughter wasn't concerned at all when we left her alone at the house during a two-week trip. Just wanted to give a quick recommendation to Deep Sentinel, which is a relatively new security camera service. It is pricier than a typical Ring camera, but comes with surveillance by actual trained guards. It uses AI to detect motion in a customer defined "protection zone", and when motion is triggered, it is verified by a guard. If there is suspicious activity, the guard can talk through the camera, and even directly contact the police. The phone app and set up is user friendly, and the installation was simple - I was able to install it myself. There is also an option for "privacy mode" when you can turn off the cameras for a defined set of time when you don't want surveillance. Highly recommend! read more

So far only 3 stars after a month. The system set up in a couple of hours, but it did take some support from customer service as the documentation isn't that well developed. The camera mounts are a little lightweight for the application. Every time you change the batteries the camera moves, and you have to verify that the protection zone is roughly correct. But, the kicker is that in the two trips we've taken so far we came home to a blinking red light on the hub and a notice the system was offline. All the other systems in our house were online the entire trip duration. It's a great idea, but it really feels like they are still Beta. read more

One of my cameras just went offline (3:40am EST) and I tried calling or looking up articles but there's no aid. Also note their hours are PT, so it's only 1:40a there. Gave it4 stars because of the customer service notes above and the glitch but I'm definitely keeping the system. I had Deep Sentinel for 1.5 years. The system constantly goes down. And you aren't even notified. I've had the hub offline over night without ever known (no notifs). I constantly have to get new hubs or new batteries because the hub won't charge batteries - and the batteries won't charge even in a hub that is supposed to be working. Then during all the drama of this last time that the system did not work they tell me that they hadn't charged me for monitoring since September 2020 (their mistake b/c I was never contacted or billed) so they turned off monitoring (and notified me by email). Not that I would have noticed since my cameras weren't working anyway. Incredibly unprofessional and totally unreliable "security" system. It's not a security system. And they stop more FedEx people than people actually walking into my backyard. It would be very easy to evade their "monitoring" simply by looking like a landscaper or construction working - DS will let you walk on by. Really loved the concept and their mission to make their product available to EVERYONE. Started researching product back in Jan-Feb 2020 but my internet was not fast enough to support the 3-4camera I needed. Then COVID-19 hit. Was not able to get my internet upgraded until now. Much to my shock and horror the cameras have NOW increased 40% in price and their monitoring service increased a whopping 50% from $49 to $100 per month. I don't know about you but I do not think that percentage of increase is justified especially when there was no additional value added. The hub constantly disconnects, even when it's 3 feet away from my router. The mounting brackets are very cheaply made, one fell just today.
