About four months ago, we signed a contract for a $15,000 project to rebuild all the pipes of an in-ground pool, for which I paid a $6,000 deposit. Just before the project was set to begin, I decided not to move forward (the reasons are another story I may leave for a separate review). Zachary initially agreed to refund the deposit, but that's when the horrible experience started. They first claimed the entire $6,000 deposit had already been spent on "materials," and that it would take time to recover the money from their supplier. The project itself was mostly labor, and even if every material had been purchased upfront, it would not reasonably exceed $1,000. I was never provided any proof to support their claim. They promised to return the full refund within six weeks. Partial repayments were made, but the schedule kept changing, amounts kept shrinking, and payments were skipped repeatedly with various excuses. Now, 16 weeks later, only about half of the deposit has been repaid.

A worker put a chicken bone in a concrete hole! A chicken bone! You cannot make this stuff up. They were filling holes in the pool with chicken bones!

He wasn't kidding when he said we had to start permitting process in summer 2025 to open in time for Memorial Day weekend 2026 either - getting construction permit processed was the biggest wait. Now we opened just in time for summer - and she's a beauty! Pool Boss team coordinated the whole project from start to finish - the designer Michael helped us get the plans and measurements exactly right, even taking into consideration our future addition plans for the property. Tina filed and coordinated a million permit forms for us. Matt & Dan were very patient helping us figure out the on-sight restrictions. The construction itself was very quick and fun to watch (the digging was done with surgical precision!). Special thank you to Joanna for very clear communication throughout! The scheduling and ongoing notifications to keep us apprised of the progress were very helpful! We went with PB's recommended contractors - JBJ for electric (super professional - and again, helped us run everything with future construction projects in mind), and United Stamped Concrete for landscaping (Felipe's team did a phenomenal job with out stamped concrete patio and grading, great attention to detail). The orientation with Eduardo was super clear - we've never operated a pool and he patiently explained every single detail about the equipment and maintenance. The equipment can be controlled from an app too - very convenient and we are looking forward to Tyler making it even smarter. :) Thank you so much! The result is GORGEOUS! And it holds water! Dan even installed a drainage system. The job was done efficiently and on-time. All debris was removed.
