I don't understand the old negative reviews. We had our above ground pool installed by TFI and just had them close it. From the first call to today they have been excellent. TFI came to service my pool couple weeks ago. When they arrived, the pool was not open yet. I did not connect any hoses or fill the pool from the winter closing. They replaced my skimmer on above ground pool and replaced filter with new sand. At some point one of the technicians plugged in my pool pump, unbeknownst to me. The pump runs off of a timer and evidently was running dry (no water) for a couple of days without my knowledge. I reached out to them to explain the situation and my concern. They denied plugging in my pump. Once I was able to fill pool to appropriate level, I was able to test my pump. As expected, the pump leaked and malfunctioned. I reached back out to update them and come to a resolution. Management told me they were not responsible and would not provide me with a new pump. I strongly suggest to anyone to find a different company for their pool service needs. Although technicians out in the field were pleasant, management would not provide any type of customer service. Management would not directly speak with me, everything was done through the office secretary. And ultimately management has no idea what customer service is about... denying any wrongdoing by their technicians and not providing the customer with a fair solution. They were responsible for ruining my pool pump and should be responsible for replacing it. read more

TFI installed my above ground pool. They came recommended from a major pool store. The owner was not nice to deal with and nickel and dimed us everywhere. I would never go back or recommend them. Installing pools is not rocket science and doesn't have to be a difficult process. read more

I have used this company for a few years now, basically to open and close my above ground pool. Recently I had TFI install a new pump motor. In all cases the workers were on time, professional, and friendly. Also Debbie and Allysa who answer the phone are congenial setting up appointments and answering questions. Truly wish there was 0 rating. Owner is complete psychopath - rude, arrogant and spoke to my husband and I with hostility and disrespect. Dropped sand for our pool in the middle of our driveway without even a call they were coming. when we called to say- ok well we need to access our driveway when are you coming to get the pool installed- he snatched the phone from office persons hand and began to unload on me. We bought our first home in winter 2020 that came with an above ground pool. We opened and used our pool throughout the summer of 2021. We started to notice loss of water by the end of August 2021. We tried to patch a "hole" that we saw, but had no success. We called this company which was recommended to us to mend the hole and close down our pool for the winter. A couple of weeks later in September of 2021, the pool was losing water which was obvious that there was an issue. We called the company to which their reply was, "We are closed for the season and cannot come to repair the situation. But, can come the following year in the spring of 2022 to reopen and that they could give us a discount." If you look under the Consumer Guarantee Act, "If you pay a business to provide a service and its sub-standard, you can ask them to fix the problem under the Consumer Guarantees Act." It was still warm out and not even 30 days since the job was first "finished."  This company did not stand by their work nor try to repair the situation.  It is very unfortunate and seeing other reviews of their work and their low ratings on Google and Yelp; I would not recommend this company to anyone. The guys the actually did our install (leader is Willy) we're great. That is where it ends! Absolutely the WORST experience with a vendor I have ever had!!! Tony the owner is a nightmare. Took money without hesitation but after threatening to not come back, wanted more money with no actual $ cost provided. Would not provide information or a date to finish job. Yelled at me and told me I had to listen and could not speak (can you say misogynist?). The guy is the worst of the worst. No honor, no care for customer service. Fast to say how knowledgeable he is. My mistake was NOT reading his reviews first! ***UPDATE 06/16/21*** FUN FACT, TFI refused to provide the install date for our filter/pump. We got it completed before they even called to follow up. Once they learned that they were not doing the job they sent an email saying their install warranty (ON THE POOL THEY INSTALLED & were paid for) would be voided. Ok let me start out by saying the only good experience would be the initial phone call. They quickly responded even after hours when we initially called. Then came scheduling, we did everything on our end for permits and deposits. They called the night before at 7 pm to cancel, ok fine. Not a problem. We rearranged our life to accommodate the new time which was for next day. They called and gave our time window for the next day and called 3 minutes before it was up to say they were stuck at a job and couldn't make it. I spoke with the owner and found out he added our job on to the end of the day after a job that was scheduled after us( and continued to do this so he didn't have "more unhappy customers"). Not only could he not accommodate us for the next business day, but he said he would not put our job before others scheduled even though they were scheduled after our date. Meanwhile my yard is a mess, rain washed out the "excavated site" if you want to call it that. Upon much discretion they added us to the first job of another day a week later. Now let's go to two weeks after install. The yard was not excavated properly and compacted according to code( every 4-6 inches). The guy who "excavates" ( with a skid steer ) claims that backfilling was not the safe route. Well now the back side of my pool is washing out and requires a retaining wall. None of which was discussed upon installation. We are very unhappy and would never recommend this company. They were awful to deal with, and leave with zero care about the longevity of the job. Now I'm left with a pool that will wash out and the expense of a retaining wall. read more

This company is not only abusive, they are borderline criminal. Although we never truly liked working with this company, we continued using them to open and close our pool. This year has been a disaster! They recently came and closed our pool. A week later we noticed a loss of water, as our cover was moving down. we contacted TFI/Atlantis pools and they basically said "it's not their fault" and would not help fix our problem! Needless to say, we are convinced they ripped our new pool liner in the closing process. our pool was fine and beautiful before they closed it up. Currently my pool is less than half full and still leaking. we aren't sure what we will do but one thing is TFI will not be helping us. Horrid people to deal with! The owner wouldn't come out to see our yard, while I asked him to. Said we didn't need a contract. Showed up with a bobcat to level the yard, and after digging up the place, quit in about 10 minutes, because"there are too many rocks and roots!" He also shoved a contract in my face, insisting that I sign it... it had many 'out'clauses for him and none for us. Then he insisted I pay him an extra $257 fo just showing up. I refused, but he'd already dug up the place, and foolishly I paid him. He had no problem intimidating a 73 YO guy. 30 years ago I would have kicked his ass. It went downhill from there. I had to have the entire area cleared by someone else ($750) to remove roots. Then, he came back, made a horrid mess, and it cost another $527. The installation came with a demand for another contract that I had to sign, or they would leave in the spot (I foolishly accepted). Then they demanded CASH over $1300, and everything was 'extra...' this cost an extra $215, that costs, "$150".. a bunch of thieves, and when the filter leaked, they blamed me and the compoany who sold us the pool! NEVER do business with them: They are liars, rude, inconsiderate and if one more thing goes wrong, I'm suing and calling the police for intimidating senior citizens... which is against the law where we live! read more

TFi installed a new pool liner for me. They were great. Their prices were by far the best and their work was outstanding. They were very meticulous and knowledgeable. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. They did everything the right way and also very quickly without cutting corners. Tony and his team installed my pool in the beginning of the summer. He was very knowledgeable and is a man of his word. My main concern was getting the pool done in a timely fashion, and TFI installed the pool in the time frame that was promised. Since the installation I have been using TFI to service the pool as well. There is no better feeling than having a clean pool to jump into on a hot summer day. I would highly recommend TFI Pools. OMG! My installation was a nightmare. I was supposed to get a call at 7:00am to let me know what time my installers would be arriving in the morning. On the phone when I made the apt I was told probably 9:00 - 10:0am. Well I get a call that the installer is having car trouble and would be late and he will be arriving by 12:00pm. So I waited, and waited now it is 12:30pm and I call him. I am told that he is now working on a big job and doesn't know when he will be arriving. Unacceptable!! I had to lose a day at work and waited 2 and a half weeks for my appointment. To make a long story short.. I had to keep calling him and the office and was told he will be arriving by 1:00pm. So I waited some more... Ughhh he finally showed up at 2:30pm. He was only about 5 and 1/2 hours late. Now the 2 men start taking down my old pool and installing the old one. During this time my backyard now looks like a disaster and they have boxes and garbage all over. I paid extra for them to cart away the old pool and they would not take the liner - the boxes and other items. And to find out when I am paying the $1000 bill for all of this - they wont even put the ladder together. So because of their timing I still have an empty pool that needs to be filled. They left so late that I was told to shut the hose off and started filling tomorrow. Well that great!! I don't get home until 5:30 so it should take me days to fill it. Now I have to spend this weekend cleaning up the mess of my yard, cleaning all the dirt and sand that was dropped all over my sidewalks and pathway to the pool, getting rid of garbage and putting a ladder together..... So why did I pay so much money if I have all this aggravation and work left to do????? Would I recommend - NO! read more

DO NOT HIRE IF YOU WANT INSTRUCTIONS FOLLOWED OR MISTAKES FIXED! Hired them to install an above ground slat pool. Charged me approximately, $1,080.00. They installed the pool but did not do so as specified in the installation instructions. The instructions clearly indicate the order in which the slats were to be installed. Specifically the ones called "beam" slats were to be installed directly on either side of the pool's support posts. When pointing this out to the owner of the company, he told me it looked great and to not to go looking for problems. I simply stated that I paid a fair amount for the pool and the job and that I expected it to be done correctly and if there was an error for it be fixed. Instead he chose to simply blow it off. See below verbatim conversation. If that pool falls down . Due to a poor installation . I'll give you your money back. How bout that for a stance.....mr sarcastic. The worst pool company in existence. These guys know what they're doing but they're as shady as they come. They changed the price on me three times and after they left, I could never get a hold of them. The pool started leaking one week in. I had to beg them to come out and they wanted a 100 dollars to look at it after they charged me over 2000 to install an above ground pool and they didn't even have parts they needed on the truck, I had to buy the hoses at branchbrook, which they said they had. Out of anger, I threatened to write a review and the secretary told me that would not be in my best interest, "if you know what I mean". I recently found the need for a repair pool company again and came across these clowns. I figured it's time someone she's some light on them. I wouldn't let them install a bird bath, stay away!!! Great Company!!! From start to finish!! The girls in the office were very professional and knowledgeable. They stayed in touch with us checking on our permits. They set up the excuvation, sand delivery and installation. Everything was timed out perfectly! Tony, the excuvator was so helpful as he suggested the best place to put our pool and did a wonderfult job! The crew came last and did a professional job!! I can't say enough good things about this company and I am so grateful to have found them! I will be useing TFI Pools from now on and will Highly Recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right! They are more than fair with their prices and everything was explained ahead of time. This company is FANTASTIC. Very professional service techs came to my house to inspect a leak and we found the damage was not repairable. We had to purchase a new pool and TFI came out the next week to install. Again, the techs were professional and knowledgeable about the service they were performing. Mediocre work, 2 goons opened my pool in a record setting 10 minutes and high tailed it outta there. As they were bringing their stuff down to car I went to check work and noticed that ladder wasn't bolted in, grabbed them and they couldn't "figure out" how to do it????? !!!!!! Then I went around to the back of the pool to check out everything else and found they didn't seal any hoses OR skimmer. Went to grab them again and they were gone. Both hoses and skimmer are now leaking. Cannot get anyone to call me back let alone come out and fix. Owner will NEVER call you back, just sics his secretary with her sharp tongue to demean and make you feel like an idiot.
