In the end, my pool was opened and chemicals were applied. The area was hand weeded and overgrowth was cut back. Entire area was power washed including pavers, fence, walkway and pool cover. The paver area was resanded. Byron, inspected and cleaned the filter, as well as inspected the heater. He provided me with his expertise with regards to future operation of the pool. He had his very hard working, extremely polite workers also clean my front walk and front of house which was not included but he has an eye for detail and perfection. I am so very grateful for his knowledge, professionalism but in the end, his kindness. The world sure needs more BYRONS and GIRON POOL SERVICES. Thank you Sir, for your outstanding service.

I called New York Pool Pro and immediately, Chris and Jason came, assessed the situation, advised that the current pump needed to be replaced. They ordered the pump, and came the next day to install it. They did such a wonderful job, I have hired them to do the maintenance of my pool and to close the pool when it is time to do so. Originally went to Naso because of his stellar reviews. Spoke on the phone and was very impressed…read morewith Ed. Booked a pool opening, paid in advance, and was looking for valet service as well. However, we simply did not click. What started as a miscommunication on the timing of his visit to open the pool, moved on to Ed accusing me of being passive aggressive in my communication (which he does not tolerate), and ended up with Ed accusing me of defrauding Naso Pools, by not checking a box on his webform. My feeling was that it was not a big deal he would charge me for all services rendered. He had my card data. Very odd escalation.....I was good until the defrauding comment came up. After out back and forth, we agreed that we would not be a good mix, agreed that we would go our own ways, with Naso refunding the thousand dollar plus payment I had made in advance. Almost a month later and no refund in sight, and have filed a dispute with Bank of America. I have no clue about the quality of his service, was fine with moving on, but I am not happy about having to have to dispute the charge. May take a month or two but I will get the money back, but that does not change someone trying to charge you for services never provided. Read Ed's counter; lots of analysis for calling just to find out if he was going to show. His planner that Naso specified an all day appointment, no other communication, no prior visit to confirm the scope of work. I see no problem asking for a clarification. Upon him informing me I missef a box, I told him repeatedly charge me for all required serices....and that the opening might identify other work which may need to be performed. I do nor understand why that's a big deal. Certainly not defrauding someone. We have found a great pool service company that's will to just bill me for services rendered. No stress no unnecessary bs. Ed's review gets personal, sticking to facts Mr Naso is taking money for services he did not render. Draw your own conclusions.

I called to ask when and they said they would send someone out for and additional $500 bucks...and stupid me, I agree!!!!! because Im the type of sucker that a business like this relies on taking advantage of. So thats the end, right? NO!!!!!!! They don't show up and when I call again, its my fault!!! So now we are two weeks and about $1500 bucks into getting this pool open and still no end in sight. But is that the end? NO!!!!!!! We were charged nearly $1000 bucks to replace 15 small tiles!!! Why? We spent over a year trying to find a fair priced, communicative, and quality contractor who was even available to do the renovation work. We had ridiculously high quotes, quotes not itemized, blatant gouging, and folks who would not even return phone calls. Then we found Brian and Northstar Pools. From the first moments, I knew this was not your average NJ contractor. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, humble - and clearly held to their mantra of providing only caring and customer-focused service - but he really knows his stuff on top of that! His prices were fair and enumerated in detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting. But it took a couple of months while I did more research - and during that time he was ever so patient, answered all my questions, and helped me arrive at a plan that worked. Once work started, he and his crew worked very hard and efficiently to tackle this beast of a project. As I was juggling the logistics of the other related landscaping and electrical work (and not to mention the weather), Brian was super accommodating and patient in coordinating all the work with me. When the inevitable need for plan changes occurred - Brian took everything in stride to make sure I was satisfied. The DIYer and engineer in me forced me to ask a LOT of questions as work progressed (and I mean a LOT). Brian answered every single one of them patiently and professionally - even the stupid ones. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were clearly evident. He even crawled ten feet under the new liner he just installed to remove a few pebbles that had found their way underneath - on a nice hot August day no less. Had a new expensive DE pool filter and a new Chlorinator for my salt water swimming pool late last…read moresummer .Found out the water inlet and outlets were hooked up in reverse. Damaging the chlorinator and wash out DE filter elements into the pool and the filter is not working at all. I am still can not use the pool. Sent many pictures to the owner but waited for a long while before they showed up at their own schedule.But the worse part is that they crushed the electric cable under the heavy filter while they tried to reverse the water in and outlet to the filter. They did not fix up the chlorinator or recharging the DE filter to make it works. Now The owner does not want to fix anything when I try to give them another opportunity to fix their mistake. I did not get a word of apology for the elemental mistake that they made.Not worthwhile to spend money with this company. I have plenty of pictures to prove all I had said. Other professional pool service company looked at what they had done with a laugh. Dr. Chow
