Party of two for dinner at 5 on Wednesday luck into a spot at the bar love the happy hour prices from 4-6 Christie our bartender was great started with a manhattan & oysters on the half shell the entree were nice quantity and delicious the red gives off a speak easy vibe with low lighting we'd come again next time we're in town nice locals hangout

I love the ambiance of this place, I came here with a friend on a Tuesday and the dining room was about half empty around 6:30pm. We were quickly greeted and seated right away. However, the attentiveness did not continue onto the rest of the evening. Drinks and food here were great, but the portions were on the smaller side. Prices were on the expensive side coming in around $18-$25/drink and $25-$40/entree. +1 Vibe +1 Taste +1 Presentation +0 Service +0 Value

Walked in around 8:30 after a Jazz night event in Pioneer Square and was quickly seated, however informed that it would be a wait to get our order as they were not prepared for the busy Tuesday night. The service was good considering they were so busy. We had a round of drinks and 2/4 were great and the other 2 were too sweet. Unfortunately both The Last Sun and the Chatty Kathy were overly sweet and not spirit forward. The Gin Martini with 3 olives and the Golden Hour were good. Would return as their food options looked good but maybe I'll stick to a usual cocktail instead of their house made creations.

A cozy little place! Had some aesthetic looking food but the best part is the cocktails! One of the top cocktails I've had from all the places I've been to recently. Plenty of people just come here and chill at the bar area, ordering just the drinks! 4/5 because the flavor of the food was not quite there but everything else was great!

I live and work downtown, and Dead Line has been my go-to spot since they opened. At this point, it's basically one of my top 5 favorite spots in Seattle. When the city reopened in 2021, I was eating here almost every day; partly because of convenience, but mainly because the food and service never miss. I've hosted everything here: birthday celebrations, after-work hangs, and dinners with friends and colleagues. Every single time, it's a hit. People walk in, fall in love with the vibe, and walk out talking about the food. The consistency is unreal. They even order food to go. The flavors? Bold, intentional, and layered in a way that makes each dish feel crafted, not just cooked. The presentation is always stunning; plates that look as good as they taste. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they send out. Drinks are equally impressive. Their cocktails are balanced and creative, the kind that make you slow down just to appreciate the mixology behind them. And for anyone planning group outings: reservations here are a breeze. They're incredibly accommodating with large parties, and the service stays sharp even when the place is packed. Attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced; they know how to take care of people. Dead Line checks every box: atmosphere, flavor, presentation, service, and seamless hosting for big groups. It's easily one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots in downtown Seattle, and it's stayed that way for years.

Popped in for dessert & delighted to find seasonal pumpkin cheesecake on the menu. Great old-timey Seattle brick building in a cleaned-up rejuvenated Pioneer Square. Check it out!

Hands down the best empanadas in my life. Even better when it's 20% off during happy hour. Highly recommend this cute spot!!

Cool bar with an interesting concept. Dead Line is one of the many hip places in Pioneer Square. It gets its name from the history of Yesler Way. Back in the day it was known as the line between Seattle's poor and wealthy areas. The bar features a generous happy hour for cocktails, along with small bites and plates. Best part about it is there's opportunities to save money every time coming. It's got an everyday happy hour. This is between 3 and 6, weekdays and weekends. Good prices after including it. It's about $11 for most cocktails, but of course that's at regular. Got us a couple including the Flora & Fauna. This is made with Cachaca, guava syrup, lime peel, orange, rose water, and soda water. It's about $7 for snacks. We got Spiced Nuts and shared this. Basic. This of course had a good spiciness. Has limited vegetarian friendly choices. The Crispy Potato Tacos are good, but they're $17 and small for tacos. Good bar in a pretty busy area. It's located on 1st Avenue close to Yesler Way, which has quite a history as mentioned. They have a happy hour, and while the food menu is pretty expensive, there's a few things for vegans and vegetarians.

This is some of the best food I ate in Seattle! Their vibes are immaculate and the food was beyond delicious. Literally cannot go wrong with anything you order from their menu. I also really loved all of their drinks as they were super delicious. The staff at this bar/restaurant was also very interactive, paid close attention to detail, and rectified a dish when the inner portion arrived frozen on the beef arepa. Nonetheless I had an amazing experience and really want folks to give this place a shot!

A true hidden gem in Pioneer Square. I was walking around Pioneer Square before a Mariner's game and stumbled upon Deadline. Once you enter you feel transported into a beautiful elegant space. The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. For drinks, we got Chatty Kathy, Tarragon Negroni, and a Paloma. All the drinks were delicious and made to perfection. For food, we got the Charcuterie board and the Garlic Parmesan Fries. The Charcuterie board was perfectly curated. I loved the mini pickles and pickled peppers that accompanied the meats and cheeses. I think the star of the show was the Garlic Parmesan Fries. They were so crispy and covered the garlic parmesan perfection. I still think about these Garlic Parmesan Fries to this day. I can't wait to come back to try new drinks and order those Garlic Parmesan Fries.

The space is elegant, unique, and lives up to the photos. I also want to recognize the manager, who was polite, professional, and kindly explained that reservations were required. I completely understand and respect that policy. Unfortunately, my interaction with the bartender before speaking with the manager was the complete opposite. As I tried to get her attention, I felt like she repeatedly looked at me with annoyance and made me feel unwelcome. Rather than simply explaining the reservation policy herself, she went to get the manager instead. She had a problem with Hispanics. She refused to engaged at all. The way I was treated left me feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as someone who was genuinely excited to visit. A beautiful venue can only go so far when the hospitality doesn't match. I would have happily accepted that reservations were required if I had simply been treated with basic kindness and respect from the start. I truly hope this was an isolated incident because the location itself is stunning, and the manager handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, because of my interaction with the bartender I've added in the photos, I don't see myself returning. Sadly they have a Prejudice bartender.

You enter through a vault door in the back of Tavern Law by picking up an antique telephone. Cool right?! Yep. Once they let you in, off you go up the stairs. Think moods, taste buds, flavors you love - any insights you can offer will benefit you and your beverage. It's quite engaging and interactive. My recent visit end of August 2026 still maintains that this bespoke cocktail bar has amazing…read moredrinks. However I unfortunately need to voice some concerns about the new ownership. Past visit 2+ years ago the reservation is through Tock. Recently the reservation is through OpenTable so I thought the points credits will be honored here as they are in the OpenTable network, so I redeemed points to discount $8, only to not be applied to the bill since the reservation $15 per person is a deposit and refunded on seating, instead of most places where the deposit deducts the cost of the final bill. None of the bartenders could do anything, and didn't bother raising this to management (probably downstairs at Tavern Law could've remedied the situation but the short turnaround time implied they didn't try). Additionally, when I got my drink, the bartender did not bother taking a second look to see there's a bug. It was deep inside the drink, not at the top, so the bug did not just fly and land on the drink after being served. So it was a bit negligent, especially given they jacked up the price from $21 to $25 in just 2 years. The price increase did not justify the quality, if anything, price went up significantly and quality dropped... The bartender addressed the issue by remaking the drink but the drink was noticeably smaller than the original one. It would only have made sense if I drank a lot of it, but I only had small sip stopped when I saw the bug. The experience was very frustrating overall that I didn't wish to tip, only to find out they added a 20%+ service charge without my consent when I looked at the credit card statement. That is fraud. Fraudulently adding a tip to yourself earned you a 1 star. Otherwise this would've been more a 3 star experience due to the miss from the bug, and the OpenTable issue.
