Lobster Bites

Food was amazing, mac n cheese was a little dry though lol. Service was awesome shoutout to shawn/sean (im not sure of spelling lol) but he was great, energy was there 10/10!! We sat in the private dining room and the ambience was 1000/10.

Au Gratin Potatoes was more like a Mac & Cheese made with potatoes. Amazing

Great Steakhouse, amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance. It was so good that I went back the next day to try some other dishes. I highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions that are special! Ask for Tony's section!

Honestly: disappointment on high price tag. Starting from the bad * Ambiance: too crowded, tables are extremely close one to another, no background music ( as you expect in "classy" restaurant) but chattering noise as you are in a chip diner somewhere at the train station ‍ * Garnish portions are big( good or bad you decide) Too much for 1 person, pointless to share if people like different things. Who will take home a leftover whole head of broccoli with questionable cheesy sause * Wanna feel special for birthday or special ocasion? Too bad, nobody give a damn! If you are lucky, you get a candle lighted, if not, just get your piece of something sweet and go home! * Not very kid friendly. I know, you all have nannies and don't take kids for date nights out to such a "fancy" places, but let's be honest : there is no Adults only sign on the door. * Not the best cuts of meat for such a price. But on the good part is the only place they got right my medium rare Now to the good part: *Not bad celection of wines, tasty cocktails * Properly made tasty wagyu beef carpaccio ! *Personnel try to do their best to smile to you and try to serve you food before it's too cold Overall I consider it overrated and not worse the money spent.

Absolutely one of my favorite steakhouses, they never miss. Food, Service, and Atmosphere are always a vibe. Any day of the week. Few words are needed, just go.

My partner and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary and we had the waiter Stu, who was the absolute sweetest. He was very attentive and honestly explained the restaurant's menu really well. As for the food it was delicious and would 100% come again.

This is my go-to for good food and a great time (without dealing with DC traffic. It's a gem that I've been addicted to for years. Want to know my favorites? Steak, all the sides, and I keep it simple with a piece of cheesecake. They have a wine and cocktail menu as well. I opt for coffee, which is served French pressed. Be careful not to over indulge on their bread...it can happen! What I love most about this place is being able to get my steak the way I like it prepared, while having a family feel while enjoying it. They are not trying to over sell you with anything or disturb your bites every 3 minutes. As soon as you enter, you will be greeted and treated like the great human you are. And...because there is ample parking...you're calm and ready for a great meal! If you have a family, they are able to accommodate larger parties. Give them a go and let me know what you thought!! xo

Food is delicious- we ordered the Kansas City strip, filet mignon with crabcake, and for sides we had the Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The steaks were the perfect temperature just as we ordered and the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. I found DC Prime on Yelp and saw the great reviews which led us to make a reservation. I must say from start to finish, service was impeccable. When we arrived a bit early for our reservation, the staff at the host stand wished us a happy anniversary. Then they gave us a card. The decor says loudly and clearly "upscale steak house" with rich, dark wood, crushed velvet booth backs and seats and backs with leather at the tables. Our server came along shortly after we were seated at our table. He introduced himself and told us about the place. It's not a chain. The owner is there on site. We were told we would recognize him as he would be wearing a suit and had "silver hair"--- and yes, we did see him as he watched over the operation making sure all was well. Once we looked over the drink menu, our server took our order. I chose a martini that sounded interesting, "The gingered politician". It consists of: "Belvedere Smogory vodka, canton ginger liqueur, cointreau, parma liqueur, lime juice". This was a strong drink with the dominant flavor being ginger. My husband chose to have a glass of Catena Mendoza Malbec, which he said was good quality. We were each also given a complimentary glass of champagne. For starters, I chose to have the gem lettuce salad. Our server asked if we wanted to split the portion as he said it was a large salad. We agreed to do so and were glad that we did. It consists of: "grilled asparagus, radish, artichoke, avocado, fresh herbs, lemon champagne vinaigrette". We both enjoyed this and thought all the ingredients worked well together. My husband also ordered a Jumbo shrimp cocktail which came with five shrimp and horseradish cocktail sauce and a lemon wedge. He enjoyed the cocktail sauce saying that the horseradish added a nice kick to it. For our main course, we both got an eight oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. This steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful and tender. After our server brought it to us, he had us cut into them to see if we were happy with how they came out. We got two sides. One was the one pound loaded baked potato. It comes to the table hot and the toppings are served on the side. They consisted of sour cream, butter and shredded cheese. I liked this way of serving it as we could each add as little or more to our serving. We also got the French beans which were tender crisp green beans with braised fennel, roasted tomato and basil. While we enjoyed them, we didn't taste any fennel. Finally, it surprised us that we had room for dessert. We both got creme brulee that had blueberries and blackberries served on the side. The portion was reasonable in size with a nice brulee crust and a smooth custard. As a nice touch, "happy anniversary" was written in chocolate on our serving plates. For sure, this was a splurge of a dinner but we both felt it was worth it. If we were to go again, my husband said that he would only order one side and it would be the potato. He also was glad that the salad was split into two portions

Tomahawk Bone - In Ribeye*

This was a birthday treat, the host to the severs were welcoming and kind. The ambiance is great for a birthday date, bathrooms were nicely kept and clean. We got the fried lobster appetizer to start and it was amazing. Great texture, crisp crunch and nice soft yet chewy lobster center. There were only 6 ~ish pieces of lobster that were about the size of a quarter (pretty small). Taste was 5 stars but the portion could be better for $30. I had gotten the tomahawk for dinner with a side of Ceaser and broccoli crowns to share and my wife got the surf and turf. The steak was great, cooked perfectly around, pretty tender overall. I wish that I had more rib cap on the tomahawk, but it was still tender enough. My wife's steak and lobster was great, tender and good! She had no complaints. I had specially requested my broccoli to be on the crispier end and not to be overcooked. I had requested to be lightly steamed and was assured that it would be. However, when the waitress asked about the food, I told her that it was overcooked and wasn't very good. She didn't respond with anything to compensate or to have a reorder (a slight disappointment in how she handled it, or lack of). The salad was on the smaller end, a standard Ceaser salad, nothing to write home about. I had also asked for a rum punch with my meal but sadly it didn't arrive until the end of my meal when she remembered, I held off mentioning it because I wasn't sure if I wanted it anymore. When arrived, she said it was on hold and sitting there without being delivered (even though the ice was fresh and not melted). Also nothing to compensate or apologies. The key lime pie was the dessert and it was alright, also nothing amazing or special. Pretty basic. TLDR: Fried Lobster is a MUST Steak was good, would get again Sides were mediocre and honestly wouldn't get them again. (Annoyed that it wasn't comped or remade) Service started out great but she wasn't able to make the customer service adjustments that would've made the experience better. 3 stars for the service 2 stars for the sides 4.5 stars for the steak and appetizer

Lobscargot

DC Prime Steaks is a stand-alone restaurant located in an industrial or business area. There is a large parking lot, so parking is easy. Nice and elegantly decorated. Full bar, and a good wine cellar. Dry aged beef is displayed by the bar area. The service is very good here. Our server was very attentive, helpful, and provided excellent service to us. These two appetizers were ordered off their special.menu Lobscargot: tender lobster meat baked in their house-made garlic-herb butter, packed with parmesan & panko served with grilled bread. 11oz RIBEYE topped with a 6oz grilled North Atlantic lobster tail garlic herb butter sauce. The steak was cooked medium rare, nicely marbled and beefy. The lobster was really tasty with the butter sauce. The sides were all very good and are on their regular menu. MASHED POTATOES - smooth, creamy, and rich. BRUSSELS SPROUTS - Miso maple glaze & bacon. Firmer than expected, but very tasty. CREAM SPINACH - creamy and cheesy. CHARRED ASPARAGUS - this can with a lemon cream sauce, which was a great pairing. ROASTED WILD MUSHROOMS - shitake, meitake, crimini, button, etc. MAC N CHEESE - creamy, rich, and savory. WHISKEY SOUR: Bulleit Bourbon, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, Egg White, Wine float. This was expertly made and very good.

I am so sad that this place has an overall 3.9 star review.. From the ambiance to the service to the food it is all amazing! I always get a medium rare fillet with truffle butter and the steak fry trio and I never have any complaints. I went for a birthday and got a cake and a birthday card from the restaurant! I think the negative reviews are older with heavy complaints about service and that is just not the case anymore! If you are in the Ashburn area go have an amazing dinner here!

Ask the Community - DC Prime Steaks

Is there a dress code?

The dress code is business casual, but right now, during the pandemic, I've seen a couple come in wearing jeans. I don't believe the dress code is in full force right now because of the pandemic, but I still went to the restaurant in a dress code…

The menu says the steaks are cooked Pittsburgh style - is it possible to order steaks 'medium' instead?

Pittsburgh style refers to the external char of the steak. We will cook your steak to whatever temperature that you prefer.

Ordering online, arriving at the store to just have the order not even prepared yet. I recently just visited on 4/23/2026 and it was the worst of them all. They were out of about 3 ingredients that went with my hot honey chicken bowl. The worker there did not know how to even make my bowl he kept having to look at the instructions on how to even make it. To add to that the blackened chicken wasn't even available as I ordered and was told when he was halfway done making it. Of course as soon as I paid for my meal the cook from the back walked out with a fresh batch of blackened chicken. The worker preparing my bowl didn't even bother to go back and check as he was making it to see if anymore was being prepared. All he did was say "sorry" and smirked as I walked out. The slaw that goes with my order was just raw onions, and also missing other ingredients. This location is horrible and it will be THE LAST time I go back. Ever. Don't go to this location at one Loudoun you will be highly let down on the quality of food and service provided.

One of women who selected this location said they weee great. The dining area is bright with wide windows surrounding the room. It was clean and welcoming. Ordering is via counter. The staff was helpful and customized my sandwich to my liking. They offer a choose 2 and my choices were a pastrami sandwich and a "spud". The food was so delicious. The spud was a gigantic potatoe. This potatoe was a bigger than what most sit down restaurants serve. My pastrami on a baguette was so tasty: meat was hot and lean. I loved the portion. The highlight and reason for the 5 star was the staff. Food is delivered to your table via numbering system. The gentleman who attended to our table was so hospitable. I needed lemon, he brought lemon. I needed butter, he brought butter. To go containers were given as requested. Other staff members also came to check on our table. Service was slow due to this but not unfriendly or anything. Menu was varied and everything looked good. I ordered the Crybaby noodles that apparently was from a Netflix show? BF ordered Pat's Pad Thai and it looked great. We also got an appetizer sampler that had the best papaya salad I've ever tried. My noodles were super tasty but I would've swapped out the celery with...almost anything else--bak choy, scallions, cilantro, etc. Presentation was awesome and taste of everything was wonderful. I looked at everyone else's dishes and they seemed amazing. Prices were medium to high but portions were reasonable. Would come back if I ever visited One Loudon again!

The positive is that the food was fantastic. I ordered the Lamb Massaman, and my wife got a yellow curry seafood dish. Both were delicious and more than enough food for each of us, but it was so good we managed to finish it all. We're foodies, and honestly, we'd probably order takeout from here in a heartbeat. For takeout alone, this would be an easy 5-star review, no question. Now, onto the bad. I've been to countless restaurants, both great and terrible, and this was the first time I genuinely felt like walking out. My wife felt bad, but I actually set a three-minute timer, and the server barely beat it. And by that, I mean bringing our drinks (our very first order) after a 45-minute wait. When we first sat down, the server came by within three minutes to take our order, but I asked for a few more minutes. Ten minutes later, we put in the drink order. My wife and I couldn't agree on appetizers, so we asked for a little more time before ordering the entrées. Fast-forward 45 minutes, and we were still sitting there waiting on our drinks, while the table next to us arrived, got their drinks, and even received food all within 30 minutes. It felt like our server was far more focused on bussing and resetting tables to turn covers than actually taking care of the guests already seated. I told my wife we should just get up and go somewhere else; after all, date nights are rare for us, and we deserved a better experience. To make matters worse, when the drinks finally arrived, they were just okay; they tasted watered down and didn't impress me at all. Unless I see consistently great reviews down the line, I'm never setting foot in here again. The atmosphere didn't help, either. It was loud, with the background music turned down so low that you could clearly hear everyone around you shouting and laughing. The place would definitely benefit from turning the music up a bit to drown out the noise. Maybe my expectations were high, but at $28 to $30 per entrée and $16+ per drink, our bill came out to $110 before tip for two plates and two drinks. For that price, it was hands down the worst dining experience I've had anywhere.
