The food is here is like putting lipstick on a pig. Looks fancy- sounds fancy- mediocre at best. We barely ate any of the tuna. The fish was room temperature. The crab cake was decent but the picture attached is how much you get for $18. Super underwhelmed by the whole meal. I wish they would focus more on flavor and less on presentation. The drink on the other hand was fantastic! Our server was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

Rain, rain go away - but even if you don't, covered outdoor seating is still available at dbar. Had a nice Tuesday night dinner within the graffiti-laden shipping container, starting with a bread basket and herbed butter ($1/pp) and the Thai chili calamari ($14) - super crunchy, delectable sauce, but we're talking maybe 10 bites of squid. A small plate made smaller if you're splitting as an app. Entrees were bangin: wife loved her dbar burger ($19), cooked to a perfect medium-rare. I went tuna and salmon poke bowl and as told they were out of tuna. Bummer, but our awesome server Cindy did mentioned the kitchen upped the salmon and dropped the price ($28 to $25). LFG! Final product featured a great balance of sticky rice, avocado, carrot, edamame and sesame-soy dressing, but was overrun with spicy aioli. Definitely suggest requesting it on the side. Local beers featured and reasonably priced. Casual vibe, and super welcoming to all.

Tuesday evening was the perfect visit as it was show tunes Tuesday! We started off with the bread and butter which was delicious - the bread was warm and fresh, and the herb butter tasted amazing. I tried the passion fruit cosmo, which was delicious and also very strong! The steak was cooked perfectly, and paired with delicious veggies and a mixed potato au gratin (first time I got to try this style). Our server was very warm and friendly!

This establishment is a restaurant by day, but a gay bar/nightclub at night. I was skeptical when I saw people reviewing that the food is good here so I decided to give it a try. They have a personal lot so parking isn't an issue. I went here on a Sunday with a friend for brunch. There's a bar facing you as soon as you enter the door. They have a moderately sized dining room with tables in the middle and against the walls. Their restroom is gender friendly with a sign saying "Whichever." In the background, they played a lot of "throw-backs" from the 80's and 90's which was interesting, The Food: The first thing that we ordered was the classic orange mimosa which we enjoyed. We wanted to get this Sunday Brunch on the road! For food, we ordered the Huevos Rancheros Caliente (scrambled eggs, peppers, and corn tortillas) and the Dorchester Brunch Grinder (a andwich made up of sausage, bacon, braised pork shoulder, fried egg, croissants as the buns, and hollandaise serve) both served with Home fries. I loved my sandwich! It came with a big beef patty with braised pork and bacon on top. My only complaints are that since they used crossiants as the buns, my sandwich quickly fell apart and the sandwich was a bit on the oily side. My friend enjoyed her Huevos Rancheros Caliente, but I thought it was just okay, I probably would have liked it more if it came with sausage or some kind of meat. The Service: Our server was Jamorey and he was pretty good with getting our drink and food orders in quickly and checked on us often. I appreciated that he came up to us twice telling us that the food was on its way, when the food was taking a little long. Overall, I thought my brunch experience here was decent and I give it a solid 4 stars

*COVID Influenced review* The menu I had found on Yelp/online prior to visiting was not the current menu. Due to covid, there is a much more limited menu that had very few items I was interested in trying. I started with a passionfruit blood orange cosmo; it was decent but it tasted more like orange than blood orange. I settled in the goat cheese spread to start, and it was sold out. I ordered the boston chop fried chicken sandwich, and it almost tasted like it was fried in the same oil as fish. When I went for a second round cosmo, they were out of the mix -- and made a different, also okay beverage. The staff did give us a nice ice cream sandwich to sweeten a pretty disappointing evening. I had been so excited to try this place with its heated outdoor patio and greenhouse dining. The best part however was the playlist -- super enjoyable throwbacks and friendly staff singing along.

Maggots in bolognese sauce. I nearly vomited! Poor quality...I have eaten this several times and I didn't correlate having the worst stomach pain with eating this until I saw this. I actually soaked the meat in a bowl of water with salt and they all came separated from the meat. You can't tell me that dbar doesn't know this and then has the nerve to upcharge for it. Gross

Great meal last night - amazing taste and spices - plantain chips: goat ragu : duck thighs…read more And excellent cocktails

Wow what a great meal!…read more We went as a party of five. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodated us running late as well. Our server was so kind and gave us helpful advice on our order. We ended up ordering the Jerk Duck drumettes which were incredible -- super soft fall off the bone duck in a tangy sauce with some spice. Truly perfect and I think we all licked our plates clean. We also tried the fried okra which had little okra sticks set in a yogurt dip and was a really nice compliment to the drumettes. Last we got the Plantain chips which were so good -- definitely some of the best plantain chips I have had because they cut them so thin! And the dipping sauce was yummy also, would definitely start your meal with this. For mains, we shared the Suya Fennel, Goat Ragu, and Prawn Curry. I'm not sure I've ever eaten a fennel dish before but the Suya Fennel was so yummy with different textured vegetables in a creamy sauce. The prawn curry was also incredible with five fat prawns in a tangy coconut curry sauce with a side of fried roti/paratha perfect for cleaning up all the sauce. They also were easily able to accommodate a nut allergy and put the cashew cream on the side for us! The goat ragu was also yummy but came out like-warm (not sure if that's how it's supposed to come) and was overshadowed by the other mains a bit. For dessert we ended up trying all three -- the Cardamom Semifredo, Chocolate Raspberry Clafoutis, and Mango ice cream and love all of them! I think we all agreed our favorite was the Cardamom Semifredo because it's so unique -- the texture of the cake is almost like rasmalai and it comes with crunchy puffed rice which was a perfect balance. Definitely worth trying if you're open to trying something new! We also loved the mango ice cream with peanut brittle which is thicker than typical ice creams and also like a mango lassi ice cream. The chocolate clafoutis was super solid and similar to a lava cake, and perfect if you're looking for a chocolate fix, but not as unique as the other two. Overall we had such a great time at Comfort Kitchen. The service was great, the food was great, and the vibes were great. We will certainly be back!

Fusion in the best possible way!…read more Moonshine 152 is near our son's apartment and we've only been twice.. but both times we were absolutely enthralled by the options, the vibe, and the FOOD! It is soooo good! The menu has so much variety that my only complaint is that I can't physically eat a fraction of the things that look good! Today's awesomeness according to the eaters: Chicken wings- outstanding, required if you like chicken! Meatballs- very tasty and tender and seductively fragrant with a touch of tang. Yum. Chicken dumplings- deliciously! (I asked for one word, there you have it Braised rabbit pasta- creamy but delicate, slightly tangy, tender and succulent! Short rib beef bimbab- creative, nice cut sticky glaze beef, lots of tasty textures Cajun Tilapia- The fish, the green tomatoes, the shrimp, and the sauce each have unique textures and flavors that made me smile down to the last desperate plate scrape! I recommend Moonshine 152 to everybody that visits Boston. It checks so many boxes that as I sit here waiting for dessert (pavlova, excited!) I wish again I could stuff in some of these other entrees! ENJOY and tell us about the other dishes!

This review is for delivery!…read more We ordered the crispy basil chicken, crab rangoons, shishito peppers, artichoke salad, brownie, and butter cake. Everything was sooooo tasty. They even gave us an extra dessert as a thank you which was totally unexpected but very much appreciated. The chicken was full of flavor and they dressed the rice in the perfect amount of sauce. The crab Rangoon have a spicy jalapeño sauce and come on a bed of greens. The shishito peppers have a sauce too - couldn't tell what it was, but we enjoyed it. The artichoke salad was a surprise - lots of different flavors and textures. All three desserts were sooo yummy!!!! We will be ordering again soon!

Everything was phenomenal! I can't recommend this place enough. The food, service, and ambiance…read morewere all exceptional. I went for my graduation dinner, and they had a hand written card at the table waiting for me to wish me congratulations. To start, we had the focaccia bread to share and clam chowder, so delicious. Best clam chowder I've had, and it had whole clams in it. For mains, we had pasta bolognese, salmon, and the green apple chicken. The chicken was the juiciest I've ever had, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was so flavorful. The presentation was great as well. Vanessa was our server, and she was so kind, helpful, and attentive. After seeing another table get the oysters, we asked the restaurant manger, Dan, what they ordered. After explaining it to us, I told him I never had oysters so he gave us the appetizer for free to try! Everyone who worked there was bubbly and warm, genuinely some of the best service I've ever experienced. Everything was a 10/10. Will definitely be coming back!
