Cute little spot in Dorchester. Really love the decor on the inside, so much to look at definitely check out the fans and how they are spun! The food, the shrimp was crispy and flavorful, I wish whatever batter they used could have done the same on the fish and chips, was crispy but didn't taste like much. The tomato bisque was good, not too creamy. The focaccia grilled cheese was a bit of a mess, super cheesy fluffy but fell apart on me a bit which it had a bit more crisp or crunch to it. The Tator tots homemade delicious, but so so potatoy and could only eat about half and lowkey kind of expensive for what it was. I'd definitely come back as I was eyeing that poutine. Server was kind and attentive to us. Just felt it was a bit expensive for what it was given. Traditional food slightly elevated but sometimes you don't have to overthink something great as it is.

The Bowery never disappoints! We come here once or twice a month for brunch or dinner. They have a menu that offers a number of shareable apps, sandwiches, greens and entrees. We recently visited for brunch and had the breakfast sandwich, Cobb salad and the boozy iced coffee with homemade whipped cream. You can also always expect a nice rotating mix of craft beers and ever changing cocktails. We prefer to sit at the bar and the service is always quick and the bartenders are friendly. They also have one of the best patios in Boston. Hands down a great neighborhood place to watch a game or grab a drink and some bites with friends.

(Visited, 3/2/2025) I booked this cute Yurt experience for a group of friends and me to enjoy a cozy brunch -- and it ended up being so much more than I expected. I had heard the food was great, so I trusted that part, but I was really looking for a private, comfortable space where we could relax and connect. This setup delivered on both fronts. Despite the cold weather outside, the space was warm and inviting. It was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully arranged, making it feel both stylish and intimate. Our server, Ana, was incredible -- attentive and patient the whole time. Since our group didn't all arrive at the same time, she stayed on top of things, making sure everyone was served seamlessly as they joined. We kicked things off with the nachos, adding chicken. It was a good appetizer -- enough for all eight of us to get a taste, but if you're looking to start with something hearty, you might want to order an extra plate. For my main dish, I had the Steak and Eggs Bowl. The eggs were cooked perfectly (I asked for hard scrambled), and the steak was tender and juicy. Every bite was packed with flavor. A few things to know before you go: * Reservations: They require a deposit to book, which gets applied to your final bill. * Minimum spend: There's a minimum spend per group, based on the yurt's size. * Parking: Street parking was easier than I expected -- no issues finding a spot. I'd absolutely come back. The food, the ambiance, and the meaningful, candid conversations we had in that cozy little space made this an unforgettable experience.

Had brunch at The Bowery Bar with a group, and overall it was a great experience. The vibe was fun, the food came out quickly, and our waitress was super friendly and attentive. We were also happy to find that the place was very accommodating for babies--plenty of space and no fuss, which made things easy for our group. , 12 Oysters - Really fresh and clean. A perfect start to the meal. Crab Rangoon Dip - So good! Creamy, flavorful, and loaded with big pieces of crab. A great shareable app. Steak & Eggs Bowl - A favorite--flavorful, hearty, and cooked perfectly. Steak & Blue Salad - Looked great with a generous portion of steak, but the flavor was just okay. Bowery Brunch Bowl - Slightly sweet and filling. A solid option if you want something different. Mexi-Cali Benny - Delicious! Poached eggs were spot on, and the flavors worked really well together. Sangweech - Had lots of mozzarella (which I loved), but the sandwich was on the dry side. Farmer's Market Omelet - Not what I expected. It was a flat egg folded around the toppings, not mixed like a traditional omelet. Cinnamon Roll - Sweet (as you'd expect), soft, and a nice treat to end the meal. One confusing thing, online it says the place is dog-friendly, but when we called to double-check, we were told dogs aren't allowed. Not a big deal for us that day, but good to clarify if you're planning to bring your pup. Overall, we'd definitely come back for the oysters, Crab Rangoon Dip, and the bowls. Great spot for a casual group brunch with solid food and welcoming service!

Unbelievable espresso btw! Not sure of the young lady's name the made it for me, bit I promise it's outstanding and made to perfection.

I have been coming to Bowery for some years now, my current obsession is the Bowery Brunch bowl. Its light but filling. I'm also a big fan of the Samoa boozy iced coffee, it even comes with the girl scout cookie. The patio out back is lovely for spring/summer. There are tables with umbrellas, typically good music and several tv's. I've never had an issue here with friendly service, the people I've encountered are polite and friendly.

Everything was great. The drinks 10/10. The food 10/10. The service 10/10. The atmosphere 10/10. I would come here all the time if I lived a little close, but 100% worth the trip.

Food was amazing. Lots of GF and GFM choices Appetizers: we had lemon pepper chicken wings (GF) and satay chicken (GF). Entrees: steak & avocado salad, kale & berry salad w/chicken, grilled chicken sando w/sweet potato fries. Drinks: Maine Lunch, Espresso Martini, glass of CA Cabernet Hostess, Bartender, Waitstaff, Kitchen, and manager all appeared to be enjoying the customers and their jobs!! We sat inside with open front windows. But the patio is huge and looked very inviting too.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Boston, so much I made sure it was my first and last stop the last time I was in Boston. Their menu is filled with delicious treasures so make sure you go ready to have amazing drinks, appetizers, and mains. The restaurant has a cool indoor aesthetic and has a patio area in the back that will make you feel like you are in a backyard. The Pain Killah from the Bowery. Made with Pusser's Navy Rum, OJ, Coconut, and Pineapple Nutmeg. At the first sip of this drink, I felt like I was on a tropical Christmas. The pineapple nutmeg is creamy and pleasantly balanced. The rum is present and blends in perfectly with the other elements. Crab Rangoon Dip is DELICIOUS. Very creamy and the crab is fresh. The crab taste is not overpowering and is very creamy. Paired with the Fried Wontons is a MUST-HAVE. The Spinach Dip from the Bowery Bar is at the TOP is my list of spinach dips. Is so good we had to go back to get it again. Made of their house cheese blend, caramelized onions, and paired with pita bread. Is so cheesy and creamy. The Mac & Cheese from the Bowery is heavenly. Made of Smoked Gouda, Ritz Cracker Crumbs, and Fresh Herbs it will leave a memorable impression. The shell-shaped pasta serves as a perfect boat for the cheese sauce. Next time I'm in Boston I will be going back to the Bowery for it. Their New England Lobster Roll was my first time having a lobster roll and it was a memorable one, to say the least. The soft brioche bun shelters the DELICIOUS and fresh lobster combined with the crunch of the lettuce and the celery. The lobster was the main attraction of the dish and it did not disappoint, it was nice and fresh and the taste was not overpowering. Paired with some crisp fries. Pj's Espresso Martini from The Bowery Bar is made with Vanilla Vodka, Irish cream, coffee liqueur, and fresh espresso. Is well balanced and pleasant. The vodka is present, but not overpowering. The coffee and the Irish cream blend smoothly and create a harmonious balance.

    Hot Wings & Popcorn Shrimp

Some of the best wings around. Good local spot for food that always hits. Service is always good and the back outdoor patio is a great spot to eat in.

What is the parking situation like here? Would it be somewhat easy to find parking on a Sunday evening?

There is generally street parking within a block or two. Some people also choose to park in the CVS parking lot, but not saying that best...

We were seated right away at a table in the middle of the floor. Told that was best that could be done. Like eating in an aisle. After a few minutes we were asked if we wanted still water or not. Still, we said. Then if we wanted drinks, told her water would be fine. Service started to decline from there. Also no condiments come to the table, but water. We ordered bread and butter and a spice bag, but vegetarian. No bread today ran out. And no plans to bake anymore. We wait close to 25 minutes for our appetizers. Spice bag arrives and I had read rave reviews about this. Open it and its filled with chicken and french fries. Server grabbed it and told us, kitchen error. They would make another, be there in a minute or two. I asked would this show up with our entrees. No, be spaced apart. We waited over 15 minutes, it arrived. Was supposed to have cauliflower, peppers, onions and french fries. There was three pieces of cauliflower and no peppers or onions. What was there was tasty and well spiced. And as soon as we opened the bag and started eating, entrees show up. Fish and chips portions are huge and very nicely fried. Excellent crisp and fantastic steak fries. The Pizza #1, excellent tomatoed base and the crust had a good chew to it. I ordered the Beyond meat lasagna. Huge portion with a green salad and cole slaw. Cole slaw was creamy and very nice. Green salad was fresh but drenched in dressing. My fault should have asked for it on the side. The lasagna was disappointing. No seasoning, no garlic or onions or oregano. It was, I think a British version of lasagna. Ate about half could not eat more. No desserts, but drinks, tea and hot chocolate. Or I did not see it. Server apologized for the timing of the meals, the error with the Spice Bag and the lack of bread. She was sweet. Lots of sports being broadcasted, and a huge long bar. I would come for beer and soccer or football. If I wanted Irish bar food I'd be better going to the Burren. And parking is a challenge. They have a very small lot, we got lucky and found a spot. Hard pass on McGonagle's.

A beautiful bar with large TVs were available for catching the game. I got the fish and chips which I recommend. The fish was tender and flakey and the breading was a proper batter that added a nice crunch. The portion was quite large, and I was a big fan of the spiced curry sauce that came with the dish. My wife had the sausage roll which had a nice flakey pastry crust to it. The menu had quite the variety of Irish dishes, and I can't wait to come back to try more of them. The restaurant is also kid friendly. They provide crayons and coloring sheets and offer a decent kids menu. It's nice to finally have a higher end and more modern Irish restaurant that I'm certain will become a neighborhood staple.
