The vibes at Blend are immaculate! It was my first time going to Blend for a Rupaul Dragrace watch party on a Friday at 8PM. It certainly won't be the last because I definitely will come back for a drag brunch, drag show, and or dance party! The servers were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was lively decorated. There were many tv screens and a large projector on the main wall for everyone to watch. Not a bad seat in the house! Many tables and booths were filled with couples and parties. It's highly recommended to book a reservation for a spot. And there were plenty of street parking available. And did I mention that the food was delicious?? Don't sleep on the beef empanadas! The spicy sauce and guava sauce perfectly complemented the fried bites. The legendary steak tips were perfectly cooked and so tender. It was paired with a Mac salad and French fries. The half chicken was also surprisingly filling and satisfying. Both dark meat and white meat are served with green beans and mashed potatoes. The whole meal left no crumbs. I recently got take out here and the food is pretty average. There was nothing that really stuck out to me to keep me coming back to eat there. Although, the workers were incredibly nice, the inside was decorated spooky for Halloween and I would go there again to try the drinks/bar scene out! read more

This review is specifically about dinner on the weekend before any dancing got started. My husband did a rather cursory review for fun dinner spots for my birthday which is how we found ourselves, our 2 tweens, and my elderly in-laws at one of 2 tables in a fabulous rainbow decorated queer dance club on a random Saturday evening at 6pm. There were huge TV screens playing 90s girly pop music videos everywhere, including a floor to ceiling one near the DJ booth dance area where our table was set up. My daughter was dying of cringe and my son was asking a million questions (e.g., why does the bathrooms have a 1 person at a time sign?) and my in-laws were kind of confused, and it was a bit awkward...and then it was just kind of amazing. The waiter and bartender were so friendly and fun, the music was nostalgically terrific, they brought me a very delicious sundae with a candle and the other table sang too, and I had a really lovely birthday. My kids got a nice preview of their nightclubbing future and we got to hear my father in law ask, a week later, if anyone else thought maybe the place we went to was a gay bar. Absolutely epic. Since it was just us and one other table on a Saturday at dinner time I want to STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE FOOD! It should've been packed! Don't sleep on dinner at Blend. It is really delicious! Also the dessert! They have non-alcoholic drink options! And good alcoholic ones, too! It's sparkly and welcoming and smells nice, and the all-gender bathrooms are pretty and clean. The Good: It got fairly crowded by 11PM. The crowd was mostly younger guys. The dance floor was large (good), the music was decent, and the drag show didn't go on for too long. The Bad: They came by and kicked us out of our bar stools around 10:30. They carted all of them away to somewhere else. I never saw the bar get so crowded after that they would have needed to do this. We were forced to put our jackets back on. We almost simply left. I ordered a Red Bull at one point and it was poured into a plastic cup. Out of curiosity, I asked why and was told they couldn't give out the can. A short time later I realized other people had cans of a hard seltzer that were the same size as a Red Bull can. Very weird. The Ugly: Drinks were ridiculously priced (way more than in Boston) and came in a plastic cup that seemed small, especially the wine. I don't know how they think it's not noticeable. read more

What a riot! My girlfriends and I came for brunch, specifically a Britney Spears-themed Drag Show Brunch! The food was great and the entertainment, even better! We ordered cereal flavored donuts to start. I'm not a big cereal or donut person, but I really enjoyed them! One of my friends commented one of the cereals on the donuts were stale but I didn't notice. Then I ordered the eggs benedict for my entree. The homemade hollandaise sauce made this meal - I could have drank it or eaten it as a soup, it was that delicious!! The homefries were sort of bland but the hollandaise sauce more than made up for up it. I ordered some kind of fancy/boozy coffee drink that was also delicious (and strong!). The whole time we were eating, there was the drag show going on around us, which we thought was funny and entertaining. It's certainly not your typical brunch experience, but it was a lot of fun! read more

A group (15) of us reserved space for a Sunday brunch It was not a busy day that day, (not a drag brunch), so the lone waiter (waitperson) there did a marvelous job of servicing us all for great food and drinks. Not one person had a complaint about anything. I routinely show up for a brunch, and order food from this establishment in my neighborhood (Dorchester). I've never had a bad experience, as they make an effort for quality, and consistency. read more

This place has great servers and amazing food. We walked in and we're a little worried, it looks like a really fun dance club, and we were looking for good food. But the drinks were fire, the tempura broccoli was to die for, Mac and cheese on point and the chicken Caesar wrap was the best I've had for a long time. We felt incredibly safe and welcomed there. First place I went to post masks. I'm a big brunch person and have my go-to place down the street. But wanted to try someplace different. To make this short.... I did have a complaint, my food was cold!! But I was so hungry so I ate it anyway because I didn't want to wait for it to get sent back. I did tell the waitstaff, and they were lovely, offered to get me a new meal. I said it was fine. That's on me.... the food was good even tho cold. I didn't want to make a big deal. I hate to complain!! My friend was happy with her meal and both our drinks were good. That being said they took my meal off the bill. Not necessary but much appreciated. Class act joint.
