Bourbon turkey tips (front) and cheeseburger club (back)
    Tony S.

This neighborhood is headed in the right direction and this restaurant is helping lead the way. The servers make you feel like a local. The interior is comfortable. The food ranges from good to fantastic. We had the cheeseburger club with a small salad and the bourbon turkey tips (small size). The tripe-decker cheeseburger was cooked to medium and was flavorful. The bacon and cheese were also good. It could maybe use a sauce option besides just mayo and the traditional burger toppings. The star of this place is definitely the bourbon turkey tips. The "small" portion was plentiful so I can only imagine how much food there must be when you order the large version. The turkey tips were grilled to perfection and the bourbon sauce was just the right balance between tangy and sweet. Ever have the Jack Daniels chicken breast when they had it at TGI Fridays? This is what that should have been, only with tender turkey tips instead of a plain chicken breast and with sauce that's actually very tasty instead of just cloyingly sweet. It was served with mashed potatoes (very good) and a butternut squash puree (good, but maybe a little too pureed). It felt like Thanksgiving dinner, only with a nice twist. I'd come back again for the turkey tips. And if you go here, order the turkey tips!

    Pulled pork sandwich

My beer was excellent, the pulled pork sandwich was good, the French fries weren't crispy or hot. Hubby's pizza was OK. Service was pleasant

Right after a 2 hour run of Pickle Ball, a nice cheese burger was much needed! Aw man, this burger really hit the spot. It was also massive. The runny egg gave it an extra flavor to every bite. My only complaint was that I requested for medium rare and it came out maybe a little over cooked. Luckily the runny egg helped because without it, the burger would've been pretty dry... I'm positive if this was cooked a little better (medium rare), this would have been a 10/10 burger especially for only $16. TIP - get their sweet potato fries as your side. Their sweet potato fries were amazing. Also, ask for their Tabasco Sriracha, yes, Tabasco sriracha. It's so good I had to run to the market and get one myself for the house lol. Overall, with great service every time I come, I definitely recommend coming for their burgers.

My husband & I got dropped off in Dorchester by an Uber and had no idea where we were or what we were doing. The place we were originally headed to was closed down so we started walking. We found Harp & Bard. We had an amazing time in there & the food was excellent. The staff made our crappy day better!! Thanks guys for the amazing service & the help on finding a rental car!!

Food was good. Service was average. Waitress was nice. Ambiance was typical for the scene at lunch.

I go to this place after rugby practice on Thursday nights and it's a lovely little bar food place! I've also got the clam and chips and those were tasty as well, but I always get a Mac and cheese and a sprite when I go. Sometimes the service is great and other times they're pretty busy and it can be a little slow but overall I love going here :)

This was my first time here and it was a great experience. We went around 2pm on Saturday. You could order off their brunch menu or their regular dinner menu. They had a lot of choices. The margherita pizza was great. I also had a side of fries with chipotle mayo. Our sever was also great. Would highly recommend.

Very busy spot but never had to wait for a table or to be seated. Definitely gets loud, especially on game nights. Been coming here for years. ALWAYS get the 'Drop Kick Murphy' for a drink. Love the food and appetizers. Great service as well

Alrite so today I went for Brunch and it was okay . Got there around 11:30 or so it wasn't packed. So now on to the food The appetizer was a bit filling but definitely worth it we ordered the 3 way sampler fried calamari with bone in chicken and fried pickles. The chicken was great I ordered Buffalo. The fried pickle chips were just as advertised. Pull a pickle out the jar cut them in thin slices and fry them...that's exactly what your getting. The calamari is also delicious although at times I think we may have ate a banana pepper because there is no way a few pieces of our calamari was yellowish The Main course which was the hangover Special. Was great .....the sausages were plump a bit greasy but good. The hash browns were a little burnt but, I drowned them in ketchup I ate them. The eggs were Alrite I ordered them Scrambled. They were a bit runny but once again ate the food The wheat toast is 4 1/2 slices. And 2 pieces of bacon also good. The pics should explain everything. But over all on a scale from 1-10. The brunch was about an 7.5. The waffle was great and it was big. I didn't finish it. . I

Ooo that was rough. Expected much better than this. Showed up Saturday night. Bar full, two tables taken. We were seated right away at a far booth table in the corner. Then we waited for 15 minutes. No one showed up to take our order. The guy who seated us who was also working, decided to spend the time sitting with his friends instead, who were at a booth eating. Finally, we got up and asked for someone for service. Our waitress told us that they've had forgotten to write our names down? We ordered nachos and they were barely covered with the toppings. Both beers that I ordered were super flat. We ordered burgers which came out dry and the fries weren't even worth eating. Our waitress did not come to fill up our water until we already asked for a check. We should have taken not being served as a sign and left when we had a chance.

Can't say enough great things about H&B! We stopped in for lunch while we were waiting to check into our Airbnb. The place was dead, so our server Nicole was extra attentive, but we were so appreciative that she could sit and chat with us and give us recommendations for later on. We ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pizza and WOWOWOW - so good! We also shared the Fish and Chips, which was tasty and fresh! For drinks, we got the #getskrewed and it was the most delicious peanut butter coffee drink I have ever had; and we finished up with the Cranberry Sauced, which was a lighter, fruity cocktail to cap us off. We ended up going back for some late night drinks a few days after and the place was packed!

If you go to www.harpandbard.com then click on "ABOUT" you'll see they're about clams, or popcorn chicken? Either way I am too.

Food is consistently good. Service isn't, but the service industry is exhausting. It's not fair to expect perfection every time.

Ten minutes before the Pats game, my cable went out. I grabbed a twenty and my phone and ended up at this place. The drinks are cheap enough that I had enough for one drink per quarter (Rolling Rock in a bottle for $3, plus a buck for tip), should it come to that. But by the second quarter, my new best friends -- aka The Regulars -- were buying me drinks. This is a local dive bar, a Pats bar, where everybody knows your face, if not your name. No food, but you can order in. Or walk next door to the 7-11 for kettle corn or Reese's cups. Leave your beer and coat at the bar. They'll be there when you get back. There's a jukebox, but fortheloveofgod don't feed it during the game. Cash only, but there's an ATM. This isn't a hipster dive. The bathrooms are clean and kept. In the winter, there's a space heater. If you're quiet and homeless, the bartender will serve you water and folks will make room for you at the bar. And maybe someone will buy you a drink. It's that kind of place. All policing is done by the customers. P.S. Everybody loves Edleman.

Overall nothing special. - Basket O' Fries - $8 (for the classic style) - Flavor wise, this was something we weren't expecting. We had assumed that it would be plain fries, but for some reason it tasted as though it was dusted with a Cajun seasoning. While the fries themselves were nice and crispy, we were not fans of the seasoning (there's no mention of it in the description). Be warned if you're expecting plain fries. Not sure if it was supposed to come like this or not. - "Hell Yeah" Burger - $22 - This was what I came here for and once again (there's a theme here), it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The burger itself was pretty good as it was two 4 oz patties smashed and went well with the other ingredients. The thing that was unexpected was the patties being marinated in a whisky marinade. If you love the flavor of whisky, then this will definitely be for you as I did taste a hint of it in the burger. Unfortunately for me, I enjoy the flavor of beef in a good burger and the marinade masked a lot of it. I do wish there was an option to get patties that aren't marinated. - Nashville Hot Chicken - $16 - A pretty good fried chicken sandwich. To me it was a little heavy on the Cajun seasoning but I really enjoyed the juiciness of the chicken. I'd get this again. Another thing to note is when we were there you order at the bar as there was no strict table service. The food itself was well prepared and the prices are definitely reasonable. The flavors however, didn't quite hit for me, but it may for you!
