Made an easy reservation on the TopMix website. Arrived on time, plenty of seating. Music was loud and the bar was a vibe. Sat on the table side and took pics at the TopMix backdrop. Ordered great drinks, fresh, bright and delicious. Malibu Sunrise, pink espresso and mango peach sangria. Cheers! Brunch was savory and sweet. Hawaiian roll French toast bites, crispy order of bacon, enough to feed the table, for the sweet and fried cheese, plantain with sausage for the savory along with a bowl of creamy grits and spiced up shrimp. The server was helpful with the ordering and it came to the table piping hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend for brunch with a bunch of people, there was plenty of seating outside as well.

The restaurant offers a hip ambiance. The music was loud, however, I was still about to have a conversation while seated. All the staff were friendly and efficient. The mango martini is delicious. It's on the sweater side which I like. The ginger cocktail is great for lovers of ginger. The plantain and cheese were hot and fresh with the right amount of salt. The pastelito was alright. The carne frita were delicious per usually. Each time I go to Top mix, at either location, the carna frita is a must.

We came here twice because it was an amazing experience. The first time we entered (wait by…read moredoor/come early) My hubby and i knew we were coming back with our newly legal-age daughter to buy her, her first drink from us. Night one we had an old fashion & the knee deep in passenger seat--both top notch! I paid more for my old fashioned earlier at the Ritz--this one was way better! With our daughter we had almost the rest of the menu: tropic like its hot, dirty gin martini, sour smash (gin) then mahattan, espresso martini & dirty shirley float. And she sent us celebratory house daiquiri shots with a bday candle. This is our new "go to" place. Emily & her team (Becca & India) were awesome hosts & helped us celebrate & remember this moment.

I first had the live laugh louvre followed by the Nutella espresso martini. It was really good if only this place was bigger it would be great but I think it's because of the small ambience of it that makes it unique service was also prompt and courteous. I would come here again, but maybe on a weekday night or earlier on Fridays or Saturdays.

TAKEOUT review * My…read moredaughter's friend recommended this place. Easy to order online. Keep in mind they are tapas so the quantity is smaller than an entree. There were 6 of us and we ordered 6 things, and fortunately we weren't ravenously hungry because otherwise we might've needed at least 3 more. We ordered mushroom salad, pad paa (a scrumptious concoction of veggies in sauce that comes with jasmine rice), crab fried rice, roasted brussel sprouts, grilled pork cheek, chicken ka praw. The order was ready for pickup within 30 minutes (which is what it predicted online). The food was freshly made, hot, ready to go at 8 p.m. and the staff were friendly and helpful. It looked like the customers there were having a fun time. We all really enjoyed every bite, particularly the pad paa with jasmine rice. It ended up being enough food for us as well.

We had a great experience at Mahaniyom. The service was excellent, and one thing I really…read moreappreciated was that the food wasn't overly salty or under-seasoned--it was well balanced. The fried chicken skin was a standout. The crispy skin paired perfectly with a cold beer. The Pad Thai was also delicious, the Brussels sprouts were wonderfully crispy with a simple but flavorful seasoning, and the beef Massaman curry was rich and comforting--I'd definitely recommend ordering a bowl of rice to go with it. The pork cheek was incredibly tender and very filling. Not every dish was a hit, though. The crab fried rice was a bit disappointing. It was essentially regular fried rice with just a few pieces of crab sprinkled on top, so it didn't feel worth ordering. The crab curry was also a letdown. If you do order it, I'd recommend having it with rice instead of the rice noodles, as I think that would make it more enjoyable. Overall, the quality of the food and the excellent service made for a very enjoyable meal, and I'd happily come back to try more dishes.

Alas, I came with my wife and daughter for a late dinner. And on that basis, it fails. Question. How does one ruin onion rings? Seriously. I've never been to a sports bar that botched fried menu items. The onion rings were rubbery and over-fried to oblivion. Not to mention, there were five of them. Five onion rings? Was it a small order? No. And they weren't the giant ones where you could say, ok I get it -- those are giant onion rings. The order was five average sized onion rings, which ended up being four too many since they were inedible. Not a good start. I had the fish and chips (I ordered this before I knew this place didn't know how to make bar food). The order was two small over-fried fish portions, and a handful of fries. The fish wasn't as epically bad as the onion rings, but they weren't good by even my lowly Michigan standards. The fries were ok and that measure makes them the strongest fare of the meal. Wife's salad was drenched with dressing. Daughter's fettuccini Alfredo was watery and weird tasting. The ambiance is great for a sports bar. Great old features and ample tvs to see the game. But this is not a kitchen to rely on. Come here for beer and TV and you'll be fine.

The seating is mostly tables and there were also a few people at the bar who seemed to be waiting for tables. We got the following: peruvian sunkiss, tahini colada, bossa nova, pal viper, bocadillo sour. The peruvian sunkiss was so refreshing. The Tahini colada was non-alcoholic and my friend really enjoyed it. Didn't get to taste the other drinks but everyone at our table enjoyed them! Our server was attentive and replenished our water for the table as soon as they were empty without our even asking. Food 5/5: every dish we ordered represented Sichuan flavors well, especially the spiciness of it! Our favorites were the eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, with the chengdu dry hot chicken and the string beans. The braised beef with Napa cabbage and mapo tofu were also delicious. Ambience 3/5: super loud. It wasn't even the music, it was that people's conversations were bouncing off the walls in a small space such that it was not possible to hear the other people in my group except who I was sitting next to. I saw several dates there and hopefully they could hear each other ok. Drinks: 2/5 overpriced and disappointing. My Negroni was ok but my husband's Manhattan tasted watery like it had been shaken instead of stirred and the melon highball tastes medicine-y. Overall a good experience because we were hungry and the food was amazing. We made up for not hearing each other well by taking an evening stroll and talking as we walked.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good.
