Guacamole app
Alex F.

Pretty huge indoors with limited but cute outdoor booths. Our waiter was super attentive and quick. I got the strawberry marg which was very strong and my boyfriend got the down to fiesta which he gave good reviews to. Our guacamole app was a very generous amount and their chips are incredible... crispy and spiced. We both got the crunch wrap for dinner and it was so filling and so delicious- I do wish the dipping sauce was queso or guacamole instead of what I think was ranch. But this place is wonderful and I would definitely be back for another crunch wrap!!

Here I go again!! I just move to the area and it's been reeeeaal hard to find some GOOD food. I was craving nachos and clicked here, seen the pics, which looked great, came right over. I got the nachos and AMAZING! A lot of options you get and they have ground beef! Seasoned great, chips great altogether GREAT CHOICE! I sat at the bar and she was amazing and patient with me and my thousands of questions! The music was great, I went when it was crowded. But spacey and very warm, calm setting. Definitely coming back and trying more things on the menu! HIGHLY SUGGEST

Cauliflower taco, birria taco, drunken fish taco

Bueno!! The food here surprised me and was better than I expected it to be... My friend and I came in for dinner during the week. The place was packed. We started with the queso dip which was fabulous; rich & creamy with thin but sturdy chips that tasted homemade. For my entree, I ordered 3 tacos: birria, drunken fish and cauliflower. The fish taco had a delicious sauce on it, the birria taco was fried and came with a delicious dipping sauce on the side and the cauliflower was so flavorful that I would have never guessed it was cauliflower. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you're a taco fan!

Burrito

Chubbs is a lively spot for catching a bite with friends or watching the game. It's a bar-like, casual atmosphere with lots of TVs and a decent sized menu of drinks and Mexican food. We ordered the guacamole, grilled wings, and a burrito to share. The guac was well seasoned and decent portioned. The grilled wings were okay - my wife insisted on getting them but I wouldn't say they were anything special. The burrito was tasty and large - it was toasted on the outside too which added a nice texture. The chips were also great and seemed freshly made in house. You're definitely not getting authentic Mexican food here but it's a step up from your typical bar food. I went with the non-alcohol free spirit as my drink. Refreshing but a bit too sweet for me. My wife enjoyed her margarita though. Not much street parking available so you may need to circle a few times or park a little further out. Fun spot if you're looking for a lively night out or day drinking.

Went on a Tuesday night with a reservation. It was not packed. Large space with multiple TVs for one's viewing pleasure. Started with drinks and explored their mocktail options. The like a virgin was a great play on a spicy jalapeño margarita! Had a strong kick and mellowed out with some mixing. I'd go back for more. Starters: Nice simple selection. I wasn't too hungry so we started with the elote (Mexican street corn on the cob), which was well seasoned and had great flavors. The corn was a little harder and I personally thought it could have cooked a tad bit longer. I prefer when off the cob, less gets stuck in the teeth. Tacos: Just a note, heavy on meat options and limited seafood, especially that's not fried or battered. I did make the request for the drunken fish just grilled and it was accepted so applaud the chef! All mine were delicious. Flavors, salsas, sauces and even the corn tortillas. Dessert: Wrapped with the churros. I've had better and for this to be the only dessert, I wanted more. 3/4 stars. The service was slow, maybe because it was a slow night. The tough corn, lack of non fried/battered seafood and mediocre dessert.

Milenesa Chicken Torta + fries

Drinks aren't super strong but bartender Sarah was very nice and attentive! Elote dip is fire! Chicken in the torta was pretty well seasoned, a little too breaded but id get it again, the bread was good too - that's important! The crunch wrap would probably be better with ground beef over chicken! I enjoyed my time there, for a Friday 7/8PM it was packed house, easy to sit at the bar to eat though!

Recently new and it's pretty good vibes and atmosphere here . Came here for the Celtics final and it was filled up . The tacos was good , but the chickens wings lacked flavors. Watermelon margaritas pitcher was so good here . Cool place to hang for some drinks and tacos.

Good selection! Our favorite was the street corn. Inside is your typical restaurant. Service was good

Emma T.

I got two tacos and both were loaded with good flavor. Prices seem standard for the area, but these tacos were better than a few other places in the area. Good service too!

Came back here for food. The food is still good. But now that I dine in, I think the portion is kind of small. The margarita is strong. Service is normal.

What we got: - Gnocco fritto - Bruschetta - Arancini - Orecchiette - Bolognese - Sausage and lentils - Chicken parm - Skillet chicken - Radicchio salad We had high hopes, but besides the apps, everything was disappointing. How can you call yourself an Italian restaurant but not cook pasta correctly? The pasta for the Orecchiette, Chicken Parm, and Bolognese were all VERY overcooked. The pasta for the Bolognese was basically mush. We actually sent that dish back and came back just as overcooked. They need to figure out how to cook pasta. Service was also bad. Our apps and mains came out at different times. Water glasses went unfilled, and I had to go find salt and pepper on my own. Also, there were two employees, maybe a manager and kitchen staff, who were sitting at a table next to us doing event planning while talking on the phone on speakerphone. It really ruined the vibe. Slim chance we will go back. Very disappointing.

Parked around the back on a side street. Upon entry, I was surprised at how big the restaurant was. The music was jumping and they have a bunch of tv's with all sorts of sports playing (US Open). We were quickly seated and ordered some drinks. Our waitress was solid. She knew the menu and was on top of things from the start! We started with some drinks and mozzarella sticks (see pic). They were top notch delicious! The only issue was the number of sticks...only 4 but they were good! We then ordered our main dish. Again, the service was great and the wide amount of choices on the menu was fantastic. I had a BBQ chicken dinner with fries. We ordered two fish tacos and a chipotle turkey sandwich with some sides! BBQ Chicken- great taste and perfectly cooked Turkey Sandwich- just the right amount of sauce and fresh! Fish tacos- big and tasty! While we waited, we all realized how loud the music was. It was not terrible but it was louder than we were use to. Especially for a Sunday afternoon. Probably Sirius XM as the category was all the same and no stoppage! Our food came and we were all thrilled. I took some pictures of each plate before we ate and I am glad that I did because the food went quickly off the plates! Good stop....happy I visited! We were seated right away at a table in the middle of the floor. Told that was best that could be done. Like eating in an aisle. After a few minutes we were asked if we wanted still water or not. Still, we said. Then if we wanted drinks, told her water would be fine. Service started to decline from there. Also no condiments come to the table, but water. We ordered bread and butter and a spice bag, but vegetarian. No bread today ran out. And no plans to bake anymore. We wait close to 25 minutes for our appetizers. Spice bag arrives and I had read rave reviews about this. Open it and its filled with chicken and french fries. Server grabbed it and told us, kitchen error. They would make another, be there in a minute or two. I asked would this show up with our entrees. No, be spaced apart. We waited over 15 minutes, it arrived. Was supposed to have cauliflower, peppers, onions and french fries. There was three pieces of cauliflower and no peppers or onions. What was there was tasty and well spiced. And as soon as we opened the bag and started eating, entrees show up. Fish and chips portions are huge and very nicely fried. Excellent crisp and fantastic steak fries. The Pizza #1, excellent tomatoed base and the crust had a good chew to it. I ordered the Beyond meat lasagna. Huge portion with a green salad and cole slaw. Cole slaw was creamy and very nice. Green salad was fresh but drenched in dressing. My fault should have asked for it on the side. The lasagna was disappointing. No seasoning, no garlic or onions or oregano. It was, I think a British version of lasagna. Ate about half could not eat more. No desserts, but drinks, tea and hot chocolate. Or I did not see it. Server apologized for the timing of the meals, the error with the Spice Bag and the lack of bread. She was sweet. Lots of sports being broadcasted, and a huge long bar. I would come for beer and soccer or football. If I wanted Irish bar food I'd be better going to the Burren. And parking is a challenge. They have a very small lot, we got lucky and found a spot. Hard pass on McGonagle's.

Overall nothing special. - Basket O' Fries - $8 (for the classic style) - Flavor wise, this was something we weren't expecting. We had assumed that it would be plain fries, but for some reason it tasted as though it was dusted with a Cajun seasoning. While the fries themselves were nice and crispy, we were not fans of the seasoning (there's no mention of it in the description). Be warned if you're expecting plain fries. Not sure if it was supposed to come like this or not. - "Hell Yeah" Burger - $22 - This was what I came here for and once again (there's a theme here), it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The burger itself was pretty good as it was two 4 oz patties smashed and went well with the other ingredients. The thing that was unexpected was the patties being marinated in a whisky marinade. If you love the flavor of whisky, then this will definitely be for you as I did taste a hint of it in the burger. Unfortunately for me, I enjoy the flavor of beef in a good burger and the marinade masked a lot of it. I do wish there was an option to get patties that aren't marinated. - Nashville Hot Chicken - $16 - A pretty good fried chicken sandwich. To me it was a little heavy on the Cajun seasoning but I really enjoyed the juiciness of the chicken. I'd get this again. Another thing to note is when we were there you order at the bar as there was no strict table service. The food itself was well prepared and the prices are definitely reasonable. The flavors however, didn't quite hit for me, but it may for you!
