Cozy shop with DELICIOUS food and drinks. The birria is crunchy on the outside and filled with a perfect blend of cheese and meat, to which you can add your veggies of choice. Their consome sealed the deal and brought all of the flavors together. Their agua frescas were also so delicious. The melon was refreshingly sweet whereas the tamarind was a perfect tart to cut through our food. Excited to come back and try more. Note that the space is small. When we went (June 2025) there was an AC, however there were also lots of flies hovering in the middle of the restaurant. The chilaquiles huevos verde were so simple, but magnificent, the verde sauce danced perfectly on top of the freshly fried tortillas, the scrambled eggs, onions and cheese completed the experience. There is limited seating and many customers ordered takeout. If you opt to dine-in you would order and pay at the counter. The dining tables have really beautiful tile. After moving to Boston from San Diego, CA, I've been searching for a good taco that reminds me of what I could get on the west coast. I finally found the place. And I WILL make the trek to East Boston to come here. Their tacos are $3.50 each (or $3.99 if you go for pescado or lengua). You can get a combination plate with 3 tacos, rice, and beans for $13.99 or $14.99. $3.50 or $4 is not necessarily cheap for a taco, but they are generous with the meat portions. At around 8pm they already ran out of lengua. I tried a taco with carnitas, one with adobada, and one with pescado. All of them were delicious! They had the perfect sprinkle of onions and cilantro, and the green salsa they came with gave a nice kick. Again, this place is worth the drive, train ride, bus ride, bike ride, walk, or whatever it takes to get here. I've had carnitas before that was dry and disappointing, but the carnitas here was deliciously fatty. It had a lot of flavor without being overwhelmingly salty (I'm looking at you, Chipotle). The next time I come here I'll be taking a couple pounds of their carnitas home with me. Currently they are only doing takeout. There are some nice parks by the water where you can go enjoy a delicious meal with a beautiful view. read more

They do great catering (have called in orders to them twice now), exceptional meats, fresh produce (no weird limes or wilted cilantro, lettuce, or cabbage here), awesome salsas, and rice and beans that can be a meal unto themselves. Been on a journey of trying to find the best birria tacos around the Boston area. I got to try Jalisco located in East Boston and they didn't disappoint! I can't say these are THE BEST YET I'm still searching since at every place I try, I find certain parts of birria tacos at different places that I like. The birria tacos here are super, super crispy which I LOVE!! They used double tortillas making the outer part super crispy. This is what I'm looking for when eating a birria taco. In terms of the meat and consommé, the consommé was flavorful but the meat wasn't pact of flavor as much as I had hoped for compared to other places I've tried. That doesn't mean the meat wasn't good though and it wasn't overly salty which I loved! I feel like seeing people eat and make birria tacos, I have this high expectation of it tasting a certain way and I just need to keep trying more.
