The crispy avocado taco was delicious. Loaded nachos and Mexican corn was also good. They small portion sizes. Service and ambiance was nice. Drinks were really good. I wish they had a little larger portion size for the price.

Really liked this place! Only complaint was the music was too loud I couldn't hear everyone at my table. Guac was the best I've had and the watermelon sugar cocktail was lovely! Tried the mojo chicken, sweet potato with black bean and the shrimp al pastor tacos. My favourite was the sweet potato!

Blue tortillas! Cool! But not the best Mexican cuisine. Queso was good, not great. The chipotle chicken taco was delish and definitely my favorite. Other chicken taco was good too! We tried the bean taco without the sweet potato so it was beans and chipotle mayo and not that good and mushy but that's on me for getting rid of a main ingredient. Beautiful interior, close to the common, but there are better taco places around. Plus $17 for a margarita.

I came right when it opened on a weekend so it was less busy than usual. My server was really great. Friendly quick efficient service. I had a busy morning in the city so it was nice to come in for their delicious tacos. Speaking of tacos, 3 cheers for the crispy avocado taco. The absolute perfect amount of crisp without making it all batter. So good! I order a margarita because margs and tacos go together like a married couple - they just fit! It was also excellent. Such a great experience, looking forward to coming back.

Such a cute spot in downtown Boston! Always walk by here but missed this restaurant - glad I came! Their tacos are great (got the crispy shrimp and the black bean/sweet potato) -- their queso was nothing too special, but would definitely want to try some more tacos!!!

Allergic to corn? So, they can make a cheese tortilla instead!

Our last stop in Boston was Taco Azul, and it was the perfect spot to have a light dinner before heading out of town! We had a spot on the patio because it was a sublime July afternoon! Michel was super helpful, especially with some modifications for a friend with some serious food allergies. Tacos are traditional and small, but your can get as many as you want and you can mix and match to try a few kinds or get multiples of your fave! My fave was the shrimp Al pastor, but the carnitas was a table favorite. Enjoy!

Would rate this higher if they had more than 2 waiters per shift. One of the servers was also acting as host. We had to flag the server down to take our food order after over 30 minutes and his response was he wasn't coming over because the kitchen was backed up (which wasn't communicated to us). On top of this, the tacos were pretty mid, nothing crazy. I will say the watermelon margarita was very good and def a highlight. I'd come back just for drinks and guac next time! Prices also weren't bad at all

I visited this restaurant for a quick lunch. The restaurant was very clean and pretty. The price, however, is absurd. Each taco is around $7, but the size of each taco is as small as my 5-yo's hand. And drinks are $15? The mexican corn also was a tiny portion. The service was okay, but won't be recommending this place to anyone.

Taco Azul - Boston, MA 21 Beacon St, Boston, MA 02108 Had the absolute pleasure of trying Taco Azul yesterday, and let me tell you, this place is a gem! The ambiance is spot-on--classy with lush green plants and vibrant blue decor that gives the space an upscale yet relaxed vibe. When it comes to Mexican spots, I always start with the basics: chips, dip, and margaritas. Taco Azul didn't disappoint! Their blue corn chips were a fun twist, and the homemade guacamole was perfectly portioned for sharing at $14.99. Plus, their Mexican Corn dip paired with the chips was addictive. Definitely a 9/10 for that combo! Their Watermelon Sugar Margarita was dangerously good--sweet like a Jolly Rancher but with zero taste of alcohol, making it a little too easy to sip on! The drink menu has something for everyone, and the small plates are ideal for sampling and sharing. Onto the tacos! Though they're on the smaller side, each one is packed with flavor and super filling. Here's what I tried: Beef Birria: Slow-roasted brisket, citrus red onions, cilantro. So tender and flavorful! Skirt Steak: Grilled to perfection with avocado crema and red onions, $6.99. Crispy Fish: Beer-battered cod, cabbage slaw, chipotle mayo, $5.99--my absolute favorite! Fresh, crispy, and the chipotle mayo was spot-on. Crispy Avocado: Beer-battered avocado with slaw and chipotle mayo, $5.99. Not my top choice, but perfect for avocado lovers. Black Bean & Sweet Potato: Smashed beans, roasted sweet potato, queso fresco, chipotle mayo, $3.99--surprisingly amazing! A great veggie option. Quesa-Birria: Brisket, onions, cilantro, Oaxaca cheese, and a delicious consomé, $6.99. Each taco brought something unique, but the crispy fish stole the show, 9/10! The vegetarian black bean & sweet potato taco was a surprising favorite too--totally worth trying, even for non-vegetarians. Overall: Taco Azul is a must-visit for taco fans! I can't think of a better spot in Boston for classic, flavorful tacos with a twist. Food: 9/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Affordability: 7/10

Lunchtime and search for "shrimp tacos" brought us to this place. It's a pretty nice looking restaurant in a beautiful historic building right near the east side of Boston Common. The home made chips and guac was top notch, and all the tacos we tried were very good. Go easy on the lime, because there is already a good amount of sourness from that beautiful red-purple slaw. If fact, the best bite was when I skipped the lime and added a little of their green sauce.

We headed to Taco Azul for a snack and got the homemade chips and guacamole. It was perfection! Chips were fresh and crispy. The guacamole was spot on and very flavorful! Since they were so good, we figured we'd give a birria taco a try. It was a small shell, but packed full of meat. Wonderful food and wonderful service!

This place is immaculately clean and architecturally beautiful. The food ain't bad either! I went with a party of 7 during lunch and we ordered almost everything on the menu. The food is DELICIOUS! Our server was wonderful too!

The Seaport space is just as stunning--decked out in pink, super aesthetic, and definitely a fun, photo-worthy vibe. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to expectations. For drinks, I ordered a pitcher margarita with jalapeño, and it was disappointing. It didn't taste fresh and came across more like artificial jalapeño flavoring rather than real infusion--and it wasn't spicy at all. For food, we ordered a variety of small plates to share. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. It felt a bit underwhelming compared to the atmosphere. The biggest issue was the service. It was very slow throughout the night, and getting the check was especially frustrating--it took about 30 minutes, and we had to ask multiple times before finally receiving it. Overall, the ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a celebration, but the drinks and service didn't match the vibe. Hoping this was just an off night.

It is a cute spot, but just a heads up that the entrance is a little hard to find- I thought I had walked in through the back door. The restaurant is actually located in the public alley, not directly on Gloucester Street. The food was really good. I am obsessed with their rice and beans. Everyone seemed to love what they ordered! However, Im taking away two stars because of our service and our waitress. When we sat down, she casually asked, "Can I get you started with chips and guac?" At pretty much every Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, that phrasing implies it is complimentary. At no point did she mention that the guac was an added charge. We later found out we were charged $16 per guac, yes because she brought over TWO (!!) which totaled over $30, which felt really misleading. If something is meant to be an appetizer you are paying for, I expect it to be framed as, "Would you like to order any appetizers?" not presented as a default and free starter. That part left a sour taste in my mouth. I would consider coming back for the food, but I would be much more cautious ordering anything they recommend.
