Stop by as we were looking for a quick snack on a Sunday afternoon. Had a seat on the sidewalk, friendly service for sure. The margarita was delicious with fresh lime juice and the queso dip and chips perfect for a snack.

This place is the real deal! Hands down the best/ authentic Mexican Food I've ever had at n Boston. This is my 3rd time going there and each time it only gets better. First 2 times I ordered Carne Asada Burrito. Totally the best I've had in a decade, and best ever in Boston. Today I came in and ordered a custom burrito, I was met with a huge smile ear to ear by Pedro when I placed my order. He knew based on what I ordered I know the authentic picks. We struck up a small conversation in mixed Spanish/English. He was an amazing server and got my food and was absolutely blown away. I can't recommend this place enough. Their prices are on point for the fact they are located on Newbury St.

I took my daughter on a quick trip to Newbury Street in Boston and we found this little hole in the wall taco shop. Our server was awesome - he was so good to my 4 year old who is certainly going through a shy phase. He gave her some candy to go along with her meal and was super friendly. We just wanted to make a quick stop, so I just ordered 2 tacos - 1 Barbacoa and 1 Chicken... if I remember correctly. What I do remember is both of them were very good - super flavorful with perfectly cooked tortillas. My daughter got a shredded beef taco with cheese, and that was also really good (she didn't finish hers, so I did the honors). If you're looking for a quick stop for tacos while walking through Newbury, I'd definitely recommend this place. Fast, friendly, and good food!

I visited La Neta on a Sunday evening around 6pm and it wasn't too packed. Located on Newbury St., I wasn't looking to wait in any lines and just wanted to grab a simple dinner to-go. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos ($6 each). The service was quite fast and my order was ready in under 10 minutes. The employees were quite nice as well. I really enjoyed my taco and it was the perfect size to sate my appetite. Overall, a nice place to go for a casual, quick bite to eat.

Decent spot to stop at when you're shopping. The chips and salsa were quite addicting and they are generous with guacamole! The horchata was pretty good too. Food is nothing to write home about but overall I did have a good filling meal! Cramped space with not much seating (especially winter with no outdoor seating).

I am in town visiting and came across this place. Got a steak burrito and it was so good. The tortilla was perfect and the salsa was phenomenal 10/10. Only got a photo of the salsa because I inhaled it.

The birria tacos were just okay, I think it would be better on a different tortilla. The service was also just okay.

Excellent service. Our waiter was super personable and gave us great information. Food was delicious. Two California girls eating Mexican food in Boston and thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the Mezcal margarita!

Had come back after a good experience a few years ago. Was super regretful unfortunately. Ordered a corona, they were all out so we had to get a corona light and it did not come with a lime (big bummer). Then when I went to get a water they only offer bottled. So not only is it bad for the environment, it's just a money making scheme so I don't love that. I ordered a coke and was expecting Mexican coke from a Mexican restaurant but was disappointed when I was brought out a standard can. The complimentary dip was not very good and queso dip was a bad version of nacho cheese. The churros were the only redeeming quality of the evening however half of them were hollow inside. Such a bummer because I really enjoyed this place prior

WOW best Mexican spot in Boston. I'm from California and this place might beat California tacos. Also Michelada was FIRE. Welcoming and attentive staff. Will be back soon!

La Neta is my favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is to die for - every time I go, I'm blown away. I always order the tacos, and my go to are the pollo, birria, and carne asada tacos. The flavor is always perfect and the food tastes so fresh. Something I also really love about this place is that you order each piece individually, so you can mix and match. The vibe of the restaurant is also so cute - I just wish it was a bit bigger, because it's so popular and can get super crowded! The staff are very friendly, and the food comes out quite quick. La Neta is always the first restaurant I take anyone visiting Boston to, and I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food.

What made the taco so special was the fresh melt-in-your-mouth blue corn tortilla! The spicy mezcal margarita was also so good (better than the pineapple one). And Christian provided great service! Taco Azul space looks small from the pictures on social media but it is perfectly sized and very cozy. Their ceiling lights have a fun pattern reminiscent of Bartaco. The restaurant gives very vibey vibes like the average Boston trendy taco spot. Moody lighting and those tiny lamp lights they put on the table. It was quite busy on a rainy weekday so I am very glad to have made a reservation. The server was great with getting to us when we arrived and checking on us initially. I think they made the chips in house and they were very thick but they didn't really stand out to me and the guac was very citrus sour. We didnt even finish it . It was wild cause it was like $16.99. The margaritas are not too sweet with the alcohol hidden within the mix. I would go just for these. The tacos were pretty good with baby tortillas. They were also quite messy and they didn't give you any utensils.... My favorite was the citrus or chipotle chicken, my friend and I both got chicken so I am honestly not sure. I finished off with the ice cream and the tiniest churro which was UBER sweet. This coming from a very very sweet oriented girlie.I would stick with tacos, drinks and maybe a cute little dessert! $$ Food 6.5 Atmosphere 7 Service 6.5 What we had Smokey pineapple margarita Guac and chips Beef birria taco Crispy shrimp taco Citrus chicken taco Chipotle chicken taco Pork carnitas Churro Sundae

A lot of people seemed to be getting the tacos or a torta. I got the steak quesadilla and it was fresh, only thing was it was a little cold and portion was a little small. I liked the pico inside it added good flavors, and the steak was good but it tasted more like a ground beef. My boyfriend got the plate with carnitas, he really enjoyed it. I wish I tried a torta as it looked really good, but next time! They also have locations in other cities--there's one in Medford too. Yelp pointed me to this small (nothing fancy) Mexican spot, and on a rainy Sunday evening it felt like exactly the right choice. The "tucked -in" restaurant was quiet and welcoming. I ordered the vegetarian enchiladas, and they absolutely hit the spot. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and well-balanced, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. My only criticism--and it's a significant one for me--is the use of aluminum serving containers. I realize some restaurants still use them, but I personally don't think food should be served in direct contact with aluminum in 2026 when so many other options are available. It was a noticeable disappointment and detracted a bit from an otherwise yummy experience.

I was eager to try a variety of tacos, though I was warned the tacos are quite small. It was a fair warning. I ordered 5 tacos, and expected to leave stuffed, but I was hungry again by 4:00pm. Eeeek. These are 3-bite tacos. Although small, I enjoyed the flavors of all the tacos I tasted. My favorites were the seafood varieties. 1) Baja fish - really crispy batter, creamy, spicy slaw 2) Yucatán shrimp - great texture, and spicy bean-like plantain puree. The pork belly was sweet, but a bit dry. In addition to the picked red onions, it could have used another saucy component. The carnitas and chorizo tacos were also good, but were less interesting for my palate. My five tacos were $20, without any sides or drinks. They have lots of shareable sides and appetizers, and I could easily drop a lot of $ filling up on their tasty bites while lingering in their lovely space.
