    Amazing portions

This place is the real deal! Hands down the best/ authentic Mexican Food I've ever had at n Boston. This is my 3rd time going there and each time it only gets better. First 2 times I ordered Carne Asada Burrito. Totally the best I've had in a decade, and best ever in Boston. Today I came in and ordered a custom burrito, I was met with a huge smile ear to ear by Pedro when I placed my order. He knew based on what I ordered I know the authentic picks. We struck up a small conversation in mixed Spanish/English. He was an amazing server and got my food and was absolutely blown away. I can't recommend this place enough. Their prices are on point for the fact they are located on Newbury St.

I took my daughter on a quick trip to Newbury Street in Boston and we found this little hole in the wall taco shop. Our server was awesome - he was so good to my 4 year old who is certainly going through a shy phase. He gave her some candy to go along with her meal and was super friendly. We just wanted to make a quick stop, so I just ordered 2 tacos - 1 Barbacoa and 1 Chicken... if I remember correctly. What I do remember is both of them were very good - super flavorful with perfectly cooked tortillas. My daughter got a shredded beef taco with cheese, and that was also really good (she didn't finish hers, so I did the honors). If you're looking for a quick stop for tacos while walking through Newbury, I'd definitely recommend this place. Fast, friendly, and good food!

Decent spot to stop at when you're shopping. The chips and salsa were quite addicting and they are generous with guacamole! The horchata was pretty good too. Food is nothing to write home about but overall I did have a good filling meal! Cramped space with not much seating (especially winter with no outdoor seating).

I visited La Neta on a Sunday evening around 6pm and it wasn't too packed. Located on Newbury St., I wasn't looking to wait in any lines and just wanted to grab a simple dinner to-go. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos ($6 each). The service was quite fast and my order was ready in under 10 minutes. The employees were quite nice as well. I really enjoyed my taco and it was the perfect size to sate my appetite. Overall, a nice place to go for a casual, quick bite to eat.

The birria tacos were just okay, I think it would be better on a different tortilla. The service was also just okay.

Excellent service. Our waiter was super personable and gave us great information. Food was delicious. Two California girls eating Mexican food in Boston and thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the Mezcal margarita!

WOW best Mexican spot in Boston. I'm from California and this place might beat California tacos. Also Michelada was FIRE. Welcoming and attentive staff. Will be back soon!

Had come back after a good experience a few years ago. Was super regretful unfortunately. Ordered a corona, they were all out so we had to get a corona light and it did not come with a lime (big bummer). Then when I went to get a water they only offer bottled. So not only is it bad for the environment, it's just a money making scheme so I don't love that. I ordered a coke and was expecting Mexican coke from a Mexican restaurant but was disappointed when I was brought out a standard can. The complimentary dip was not very good and queso dip was a bad version of nacho cheese. The churros were the only redeeming quality of the evening however half of them were hollow inside. Such a bummer because I really enjoyed this place prior

La Neta is my favorite restaurant in Boston. The food is to die for - every time I go, I'm blown away. I always order the tacos, and my go to are the pollo, birria, and carne asada tacos. The flavor is always perfect and the food tastes so fresh. Something I also really love about this place is that you order each piece individually, so you can mix and match. The vibe of the restaurant is also so cute - I just wish it was a bit bigger, because it's so popular and can get super crowded! The staff are very friendly, and the food comes out quite quick. La Neta is always the first restaurant I take anyone visiting Boston to, and I 100% recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food.

Walking on Newbury St in the rain and we ducked into La Neta for a quick bite. I absolutely loved the Mezcal-Rita - they even made it spicy for me with a jalapeño and tajin on the rim. The complimentary chips and salsa were very good. Kids liked the Birria and fish tacos. Would definitely come back to try some of their other cocktails. Impressive tequila and mezcal collection on the wall. Quirky, fun decor.

We started with drinks: a passion fruit mojito and two margaritas with salt. They were decent but didn't quite hit the mark. For food, we ordered tacos and an Al Pastor burrito. The tacos were alright, but the burrito was disappointing. Though the meat was tender, the seasoning lacked depth, the rice was hard and flavorless, and the guacamole was bland. Thankfully, the churros were a nice surprise - perfectly crispy and sweet. Overall, not worth the price, but at least we ended on a good note with dessert.

Chicken taco 6$. Not pictured can of diet coke .. 4$ !? Pulled chicken is barely seasoned. Veggies are fresh .

Terribly dry and insipid chicken taco. Only things that were okay were the accompanied pico de gallo and guacamole sauce. Behind the register you can see all the cooks putting the ingredients together and I saw one reach for their phone with the gloves on, then back to making food without changing gloves. Cell phones are full of bacteria. Anyway would've ignored the rest of the food was good but it was not. Also 4$ for a can of coke ?!

I was craving this place since my last trip up here and the whole ride up. 4 hours of torture and let me tell you. Bartaco, you folks were on point!!! Nothing on the menu disappointed. Keep it up and look forward to checking you guys out again! Port Chester location, I'm coming to you next!!! I'm expecting to be blown away!!! Two big thumbs up here!!!

When a full-on DJ came on around 8pm, I was definitely caught off guard, but it added to the energy. My only issue was the waiting system. Putting your name on a list while people monopolize the bar isn't ideal, but we made the most of it. We were quoted a 30-minute wait and did have to apply a little pressure to finally get seated. While waiting, I grabbed margaritas at the bar, and wow--the bartenders are extremely talented. They freshly squeezed the limes and handcrafted each drink. Very professional, and honestly the best margaritas I've had in the States. The food was rockstar-level, and the menu is very price-friendly. One thing to note: you have to order everything at once, so keep that in mind. Once the food hits the table, you likely won't see your server again until the bill. That said, the ceviche was top-tier, and the Korean beef bowl was splendid. Do not skip the plantains with the cilantro sauce on the side you won't be disappointed! Overall, this is a great date-night spot. Expect a wait, but it's well worth it.
