Delicious BBQ but even better service. All the proteins in the BBQ Sampler were succulent and flavorful. My favs were either the brisket or the ribs. The BBQ Tater Tots had an amazing seasoning and were absolutely delicious. The leftovers will easily last a few meals! Only caveat was some of the meats were warm and not hot. It's cool how they mashed up a pickleball club and a BBQ joint (I guess, do the former and then eat at the latter haha). They serve BBQ (and BBQ sauces) from many different regions of the US. Nice decor and music choice too. What stood out the most though, was the hospitality. They gave a free BBQ Popcorn sampler, which was seasoned with the same amazing seasoning as the Tater Tots. They also gave great recs and were attentive throughout my meal. Before I left, I asked for some of the BBQ sauces to-go and they gave 7 small containers of different sauces. Easily worth the splurge and the service! Definitely recommend, will be back!

OMG... The wings, Get them... Get 200 of them (I did) Seriously... We had a team bldg event at PKL and we had a giant spread of food, Wings, Pretzels, Stuffed Mushrooms, lots of things, and the wings were soooo good that I literally ordered about 48 to take home. The dry rub was INSANE... All the food was great. The vibe here is great and you are able to go eat without even picking up a game of Pickleball, but its a fun, open bar area and I hear the vibe is great on a Saturday night. Sad that all the wings are finally gone at home so I might have to come back & pick up some more! Hey, did I mention you should try the wings! Staff was all great too, def look into hosting a Team meeting there, everyone went above & beyond!

Brownie, meat +2 sides (key like pie is already being eaten!) - this is $55 before tip.

We ordered through Door Dash and we do not believe that affected the food quality as it arrived very quickly from nearby and was hot. We chose this place based on reviews and awards. My husband is a Nashville native and we spend a significant amount of time in GA and SC. That being said did not find this to be a repeat visit candidate. The brisket was dry and barely spiced. It was lean however. The baked beans were excellent as was the vinegar based slaw. The pickles and pickled onions were a nice side. We were a bit baffled by the side of grocery store bread and expected corn bread. We also got key like pie which was a huge hit with the hubs - although a tiny piece for the price but hey it's Boston. We also got the fudge brownie which was mediocre although very fudgy as described. So why a 3? If you're a BBQ joint and the meat is only so so that's a problem.

Everything weighed up to be about two pounds.

So I ordered the combo and was a little skeptical of the amount of food. Low and behold I weighed most of the meat and in yotal it was about two pounds. Well met Pg Beach, well met. This is what I weighed: 1/4 LB PULLED PORK 1/4 LB SMOKED TURKEY 1/4 LB BEEF BRISKET 3 BABY BACK RIBS 1 SAUSAGE LINK

Whew found this place on the way to the airport. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the tots and had a drink called Left Eye. My sandwich was soooo tasty and well flavored and the tater tots with the Cajun seasoning. The drink was the perfect addition. The service was good staff are friendly and nice. The ambiance was fun, good music and a vibe

Me and my wife had lunch here at this restaurant. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by front staff. The staff were friendly and helpful. My wife ordered fried chicken sandwich with the seasoned tater tots. She loved the fried chicken sandwich and the tater tots. She said the chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection. She loved the sauce on the sandwich and the tater tots were seasoned very well. I ordered the brisket Philly cheesesteak and potato chips with bbq seasoning. The meat was bbq to perfection and seasoned well. The taste was amazing and the cheese with the veggies and the soft roll was phenomenal. The chips were fresh and delicious. I ordered my wife a jalapeño margarita which she loved. The bar and the restaurant is great. You can play games while you wait and they had tv all around. A great place to go to watch a game or just a nice chill date night spot.

If you were to tell me that the best BBQ spot in Boston was in an indoor pickleball court in Southie, I'd literally think you were lying BUT it's true... Pig Beach BBQ is hands down, the best place for BBQ in Boston! They're located inside PKL indoor pickleball facility, off of Old Colony Ave in Southie. We got to try their food today for lunch! Here's what we got: -Meat & 2 Combo: 1/2 rack of ribs For our 2 sides we got mac&cheese + BBQ tatertots $28 -1/2 lb beef brisket $19 -hot honey dry rub wings $12 -lemon pepper wings (off menu) Drinks: ginger ale & Shirley temple Thoughts: OMG! Literally so good! Our favorite has to be the 1/2 rack of ribs! The flavor was perfect and meat was fall off the bone tender. AND you've gotta get their wings, I'm not even remotely joking, they're bomb! I'm not usually a fan of dry rub, HOWEVER, the hot honey dry rub & the lemon pepper wings were absolute GAS! So much flavor, incredibly delish, & they stayed hot for from beginning to end of the meal somehow? I love my food nice and hot so I was definitely a happy gal since everything came out hot + fresh. I will say, the brisket was the dish we had the highest expectations for. Unfortunately didn't end up being the star of the show for us. Now don't get me wrong, it was still good! As good as Texas or Tennessee BBQ? Not quite but we're getting there! The brisket was just drier than expected and didn't have the burst of flavor we were hoping for. Okay, now on to the sides! The sides were YUM. Go look at those tater tots! They were some of the best tater tots I've had in a while, full of flavor and honestly don't even need sauce because all the flavor is already there. The Mac & cheese was also very good, very solid. The cucumbers & pickled onions were on point, as well. The pickled onions were different & I really enjoyed them. Not too pickled & had a hint of cinnamon. I've had BBQ before in the south, however, never in Boston & honestly everything we had today was super solid & legit! The wings were one of the first dishes to arrive to the table and literally set the tone for the rest of the meal, seriously did not disappoint. Besides the brisket being slightly dry, everything was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! The flavor...the tenderness of the ribs... THE WINGS...to the sides, so yeah, I will be back very soon! Highly recommend. Must try BBQ spot in Southie ;))

I cannot I haven't heard about this place until now! As soon as you enter, their inviting and friendliest hosts, servers, and bartenders make you feel welcomed and at home. They are so helpful in making recommendations. We got their award winning Smash Burger made with Wagyu beef and an addictive special sauce, BBQ Sampler, Wings, Mac n Cheese, and Baked Beans. Everything tasted amazing but that burger has legit captured my heart. I would come here just for their burger! I love their indoor pickleball court because now we can play all year round! This is an absolute must visit spot!

Brisket with house BBQ sauce drizzled over. (Needs more BBQ sauce:))

(Personally) Potato salad needs more mayo coleslaw as well. Brisket beautiful. Just needed extra house BBQ sauce. Corn bread and maple butter? Devine. Pickles were essential. Did take out man who took my order was pleasant. Will be back.

Insanelyyy good barbecue at a pickleball place randomly?? I tried the barbecue sampler, smashburger, and wings and wowww. The burger was ridiculously good (add the bacon jam!), and the brisket, pulled pork, and ribs were so tender and flavorful. They also provide a bunch of sauces so you can mix and match them with the meats. The cornbread side was also so good!! The service is good and it's a very casual space (it is inside a pickleball place lol).

My first introduction…read moreended up being at a corporate event in Boston's Seaport district, where lunch arrived courtesy of one of the city's best-known sandwich shops. The catering was impressive. Before anyone even took a bite. Every half sandwich was individually wrapped and clearly labeled, with salads and sides neatly organized, making it easy for a large group to grab lunch without the usual catering chaos. The choices were wide and varied. We took our lunches upstairs to a rooftop seating area overlooking the Seaport, which made for a pretty great setting on a beautiful afternoon. I chose the Gobbler, and it lived up to the hype I've since read in other reviews. At first glance it sounds like a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich, but it's much more than that. The turkey was fresh and flavorful, and it was complemented by stuffing, cranberry sauce, spinach, pepper jack cheese, and just enough chipotle mayo to add an unexpected kick, without overwhelming everything else. It's one of those combinations that sounds busy on paper but comes together remarkably well. I spoke with several others over lunch, and they were equally impressed with their choices. That's always a good sign when you're feeding a crowd. It's one thing to make a great sandwich to order; it's another to deliver dozens of them catered while maintaining that level of quality. Since this was catered, I can't really comment on the restaurant itself. The service on the catering side, however, was evident in how thoughtfully everything was prepared and packaged, and the rooftop setting where we enjoyed lunch certainly didn't hurt. Needless to say, this won't be my last Sam LaGrassa's sandwich. I fully intend to visit the restaurant one of these days, and in the meantime I'll spend some time trying to recreate that Gobbler at home (maybe with sliced roasted chicken, but also with turkey when I have it). It was that good.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

The staff is so nice and it's Boston, low key all around. I'd like to officially put my bid in for the seasonal Korean "Good for the Seoul" BBQ sandwich to find a home on the permanent menu. It just ended in July and I am heartbroken. My taste buds are piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissed to say the least. It was the sandwich that dreams are made of: soft (yet firm) seeded roll, thin fresh cooked chicken cutlets, cabbage slaw, pickled carrots, gochujang BBQ sauce and sriracha mayo. I stood in 85 humid sunny Boston heat for 20-25 min for it. Yes, it's that good. It's heaven on a bun! I've gotten the Drunken Parm, the Hogan, and the Caprese as well. All solid and delicious. I've never gotten one I didn't like. They are pleasant and open to customizing them as well. i.e. no lettuce, extra onion, BBQ on the side. I'm also not sure how, but Thomas the cashier remembers my name every time. That's SO impressive. I mean, I know I don't blend like most, but still, my name among all those people all week long at all the locations? I feel honoured to say the least. Seriously. I didn't get a picture of the BBQ sandwich because honestly, I had devoured it before realizing I should have. whoops. I did get a pic of the Hogan and will post that soon. The good: All of it. and I mean ALL OF IT. You can opt to get chicken, eggplant or one cutlet of each if you're feeling swanky. The location - this is good and bad. Good right by my building and bad that it moves down to Dewey Sq other days. BOO! The bad: The line. They open at 11:30am at Rowes Wharf and there is a line that starts to form at 11:15. I got there today at 11:20 and there were 8 people ahead of me. I might bring a lounge chair with me one of these days. The cost. I personally don't feel it's outrageous. It's a food truck in Boston on the Wharf and it's phenomenal. However, that said I think it's at the cap of what I would spend. I feel it's worth it for what you get. it's $15 for 1/2 and $20 for full sandwich. Pro Tip: psssst, get the full and take 1/2 home. Or eat it if you can't control yourself. I won't berate you for that. I don't consider it bad, but some do.. they cap you at 4 sandwiches per order. If you want more, get catering. And invite me over. Cheers!
