Me, "I'll have a large Iced Latte." 6pm employee, "Iced Coffee?" Me, (points at menu) "Uh, Iced Latte?" 6pmE, "Umm, how do you make an iced latte?" Annoyed because I get this all the time there. Don't come in the evenings. Or train your new employees. read more

So this has got to be the saddest display of professionalism I've been subjected to .It's just before 6am on a Sunday and nothing sounds better the a fresh donut and coffee .To my surprise biscuits and gravy would be the beginning of the worst breakfast experience I've ever so for twenty one dollars a person can buy a dozen donuts that are without question 1-2-3 days old who knows they are stale as can be and honestly for the price you would think they would at least be meal size donut but they are not they are disrespectfully small and the biscuits and gravy was foul the carton was full of watery gravy and the biscuits are a joke honestly I tried to give them to my dog and she wouldn't even eat them thankfully they gave us back our money for the donuts and we couldn't believe our eyes when they put them back on the shelf for sale again after we touched them , gross is all I can say we will never go back to that place we really feel let down by our only neighborhood donut shop I'd rather eat out of a garbage can then go back there read more

The person behind the counter was a bit rude... The apple fritter had barely any apple chunks in it. Also got coconut creme donut and that was pretty awful too. Another thing that gets me is that they charge $.25 for using a card under $5. These type of practices really make me angry and not want to be a repeat customer. Hope they change that rule and also try to get happier employees. read more

There's a great selection of donuts, that's for sure. However, the donuts are not good (my opinion). If you go to Safeway or Roth's early in the morning and get their donuts, they are much, much, much better if you ask me. Isn't that sad though, that the grocery store donut are better than the actual donut store's donuts? I'm not sure what it is, but I think they need to change their recipe. Are the donuts edible? Yes, of course. They just aren't anything worth talking about. read more

Mediocre donuts and the lady squished all my donuts as she put them in the bag because I didn't know if I wanted enough for a box or not.

I am a Deaf person who uses American Sign Language and text in English to communicate with a non signer. The person who worked at this shop was not accessible. I typed out my order in clear and perfect English, even creating a clear list for a half a dozen. She struggled to understand my order and refused to write down what she was trying to say. it was NOT a good customer experience and she made me feel like a second class citizen! I would not recommend! read more

My cat and I like these donuts. She likes the powdered sugar ones and they match her paws. Highly recommend.

I have been here before ( a few times ) and the donuts were great. Not so much tonight...The raspberry/creme filled were not filled very much. I got a french creuller and it had literally a spot of glaze and was really dry. Besides those ones the other ones were good. Not my favorite visit but I will go back again. read more

Would not suggest this place if you are a donut person. Heard donuts were great but i could barely taste a difference between any two, just a fried dough ain't good enough for my tastes...sorry my opinion read more

Simply best in Salem! Drove yesterday from Lincoln City to satisfy my craving. With great coffee, can't be beat! Thanks read more

"Which donuts would you recommend?" I asked. "I don't know," said the girl behind the counter with not even a glimmer of care in her eye. After trying several varieties, I too found myself unable to recommend any particular donut. They're all equally disappointing. read more

Well I thought I wrote a nice follow up to this little place. again someone at the office headquarters feels that it was not appropriate for some odd reason. the donuts are Wonderful. They put special donuts on occasionally which is nice to find. it's also as I said it's easy to get into and get out of. Maybe me someone at Yelp is really bored. read more

I'm so disappointed. Thought this was going to be my new donut spot. Great selection and prices. But I saw a whole bunch of donuts in those long boxes designed for going under the bed. Uh oh. Those arent food safe! I got a dozen anyway, lured in by the low prices and big selection. I wish I hadn't. The service was nice but she didnt change her gloves after she answered the phone. Just handles my donuts. Uh oh. Dont think she changes gloves after she took my payment for the next guy. Another uh oh. Opened box when I got home and donts are all squished. They dont look good. The taste of the apple fritter is ok but there are no apples in it. The cream cheese filled powdered tastes like it has frosting filling. Thats not right. After a while I noticed a strong chemical smell from the box. I try a chocolate cream powder. It tastes like strong plastic. I am going to have to throw these away. Eat at your own risk. read more

In from out of town and just went in for a late night sweet tooth. We came in and looked around for a moment before a man came out to help us. I immediately asked him what his favorite donut was, they have a very large selection. He pointed to the tiger tails, boston cream and the long john. He was very friendly, very nice and super helpful. We picked a bunch of different donuts ranging from French crullier to smiley face and we enjoyed them all. We especially enjoyed the warm fresh donut holes he brought out to let us try. The atmosphere is so happy, the bakers were in the back singing and working to a beat, I thought that only happened in movies!!! We already made plans to come back in the morning before we head back to California. I sure wish we had a place like this where we are at. This will definitely be a place we look forward to coming back to with family when we are back in town. read more

This is THE go to place of Salem for frozen yogurt! It's open 24 hours and my friend and I stopped in after hitting the town. They have a whole frozen yogurt bar that you serve yourself. You can pick from about 6 to 8 different frozen yogurt flavors. I was boring and got some classic vanilla. Then they have this pretty elaborate toppings bar, with everything from nuts, cereal, candies, crushed up candy bars, syrups, etc etc etc. With that, I went with some peanut butter M&Ms, crushed up heath bars and Baby Ruth chunks. Once you have created your master piece of a dessert, the clerk will weight it to determine the price. Not sure what the price per unit was, but mine ended up being about $3.00. Not too bad! read more

First off, I LOVE this place. EVERY time I am in the area, I stop in and grab a fresh donut. I usually get one donut that I devour immediately. ALWAYS fresh tasting and the selection can't be beat! The apple fritters have apples in them, no joke! Like all places used to make but sadly many put a little swab of apple puree and call it a day :( So why 3 stars? My visit yesterday failed my goal. I ordered two colored happy face donuts for my kids and a maple something with a heart on it for hubby. All were ordered on appearance, not necessarily taste preference. The girl put the donuts in the bag, all 3 across the bottom, back to front, with no wax paper or anything between. What I ended up with was 3 donuts that has smeared appearances that no longer resembled the heart or smiley faces. To boot, none of the three are particularly fond of filling, so with no cute symbols on the top, they all wondered why i didn't get donuts they like :( I won't stop going there are anything like that (why deprive myself of yummy donuts?) But to be sure, i will supervise the placement of my donuts next time One last note, the lady in front of me purchased a donut and a coffee and paid with a debit card. The girl told her that she had to charge her something like 25 cents since the charge was under $5. She said this and swiped her card simultaneously. I was only spending $3 so was offering to just buy her donuts and then neither of us would have the charge. BUT the card had been swiped before the woman accepted the charge. that also left no option for me to buy her donuts. And just from a business point of view, I personally added 2 donuts and a donut hole to my order to not pay the fee. The other woman had no opportunity to give the place additional business if she had wanted to. read more

My friend visiting in from another country wanted to try her first donut in two years. I google mapped the closest donut shop and ended up here. Service was quick and simple! We were offered some water as well. At first she didn't want anything to drink. We were both pleasantly surprised at just how delicious and soft the donuts were. Just like a sponge. Exemplary Donuts! read more

Really great donuts. Came here and got a maple cream filled donut, a coconut cream filled donut, and a blueberry crumb (jelly filled) donut. Donughts were fresh and warm. Great service for being open 24/7. Prices were great! Will definitely be back. Thanks! read more

Ok. I see mixed reviews on this place. It's not unfriendly or dirty, it's a 24 7 donut shop and looks and feels like one. Real donut shop with awesome donuts and 2 dollar biscuits n gravy! This is old school donuts. Not voodoo freakland, or Roths "gourmet" yuppie donuts, it is real donuts and real donut shop service. read more

Come here if you want a sad donut. I decided to give this business another shot, despite the craigslist rant about how a disabled customer was treated. I am a pro business person and despite the lame remarks by the owners to the public from the Statesman Journal, I still gave this business the benefit of the doubt, particularly when the accuser remains anonymous and there is always two sides to every story. My lesson is learned, I should have heeded the bad reviews and realize that people who treat disabled people like shit pretty much treat everyone that way. I should have taken the time to go to Roth's or King Donut. When I arrived on 7/29/15, the parking lot was full and there was a line and a number of customers in the shop. To me, that is a good sign. It shows that maybe this business has merit since others apparently patronize the business. The rest of it was bad. The same tired looking employee is behind the counter, she's getting all the orders wrong from the three guys in front of me. In the past she has been pretty rude, not friendly, and lacks basic customer service skills, but I kind of overlooked that because she's just selling donuts and maybe she had a bad customer. Apparently she is like that everyday. She is like that every time I come in, I just never realized it was a constant issue. She looks like she needs a vacation. Owners of this business, send her on a paid vacation or fire her. You don't have to pay her $15.00 an hour with benefits, but treat her right. She looks tired and she looks like she hates her job. To the lady working behind the counter: Come on lady, you are selling donuts to people who WANT donuts. It's not a necessity. We are there because we want to be there. Put a little cheer into it, it makes the donuts taste better. I ordered an apple fritter and a long john. When I got to the car, I realize she gave me a maple bar instead of the long john. BTW, the apple fritter was stale. Thanks for selling a pregnant lady a stale apple fritter and the wrong product. You need to up your quality control. Overall, this was a sad donut experience. I didn't get one of the donuts I wanted and I got a stale apple fritter from a sad employee, who seems to get all the orders wrong, working in a dirty donut shop. To the owners of this establishment: step up their game or you won't be in business much longer. BTW, "stepping up your game" doesn't mean offer a bacon maple bar and rip off Voodoo Donuts, because seriously, even the picture of your bacon maple bar looks sad. :( Treat your employee well, train her in customer service, clean the place up, get rid of the stale donuts and don't sell them to anyone, pregnant or not pregnant. Oh and to those reading this review, you can get a better cheaper happier donut at Winco, Roth's IGA or King Donut. Just skip this place or you'll be paying $.99 or more for a donut of sadness. read more

The doughnuts are decent and the staff is rude... both times we stopped in, two different cashiers made us feel rushed.

Terrible. Sub par donuts and dirty shop. Save yourself tons of disappointment and go to Roths read more

This place usually has good doughnuts, the staff are not really the friendliest at any of their locations. They do make the old Dunkin Donuts style creme filled doughnuts. The reason for only 2 stars is employee attitude and we watched one of them come outside and check the garbage then go behind the counter puttering around without washing his hands. read more

Well, it isn't the best coffee in town. But it is better than whatever roast i received from the French Press recently. Actually poured that one out it was so bad. The donuts are good. Exactly what you're looking for in a donut. The plain glazed are my favorite. They have lots to choose from. Nothing gluten free if you wanted to get something for that one person in your office so they don't feel left out. But other than that, rock solid. And they take card as well as cash ($5 min or get a small fee). read more

Donuts our good but hate how donuts our just out and not covered, other than that donuts our always good service as well.

I walked into this donut shop to realize I had walked into donut heaven. There was a huge assortment, tons of options and great prices!! We got a dozen of all different kinds and we enjoyed EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. I will definitely be going back!! read more

Daynight Donuts - So many to choose from!! - Donuts Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Today it was my first visit to Salem. I stopped to buy donuts for me and my husband. Donuts are fresh and tasty. I was disappointed by coffee. I ordered a large (20 oz ) latte, but the cup was so light that I decided to open to see what was inside. The cup was filled by milk foam. I did few sips , and the coffee is gone. Usually we shared with my husband large coffee. read more

It wasn't what we expected. I have definitely had better. The lady at the front seemed annoyed and wanted me to rush my order. I'm a big donut lover and unfortunately this shop falls short. read more

Fantastic donuts and great coffee. They have a large variety, I often buy more than I need cause I can't choose just one flavor!

This morning I got as far as the parking lot before deciding not to go in. As I looked in the window I observed two workers, less than 2 feet apart and not wearing masks. Their were also numerous customers who are also not wearing masks. The Oregon health Authority rules clearly state that all employees serving food should be wearing a mask. It doesn't matter how good the donuts are if it's not safe to eat there. I decided to go to Bearscat donuts and was shocked to find the same situation. I'm disappointed that there's not more of an effort by businesses and citizens to reduce the transmission of this terrible disease. read more

Best donut shop in town! Make sure to come in after 10pm and before 6am; when Gurjeet works the front counter and Amigo bakes the donuts. These two are the hardest workers in the country. The wonderful service has been bringing me back nearly everyday for the last three years. Every good memory of my life has a tie into this donut shop. I've eaten a few hundred donuts from Daynight Donuts and I can guarantee each donut is going to be fresh. Always fresh! read more

BEWARE!!!! I'm giving this place one star, only because the donut holes tasted good. The lady at the front counter clearly is not happy with life. She looked like she didn't want to be there and was very unfriendly. After ordering 2 boxes of 60 donut holes and 2 sacks of 12, I got in my car and realized she over charged me $6. I didn't go in and dispute it because I thought the extra $6 might put a smile on her face. I will NEVER set foot in this place again, there are to many other donut shops in town that I don't need to go there ever again. read more

This donuts are not great always give me bad stomach. Msg . Go to Roth's much better quality ,selection isn't as good but quality over quantity any day for me. read more

This place is absolutely awful. The service I had was terrible, the girl working their kept getting confused and was giving me attitude. The wife's owner was there and kept going around in the back and her kids were screaming. I found a hair in my donut and told them and they didn't do anything about it. I wouldn't come here again. I have lived in Salem-Keizer area my entire life and have never witnessed anything that bad at a donut shop. This place should be ashamed at how they treat the customers that come in. I'm for sure never giving them my business again. read more

This used to be the last dunkin donuts on the west coast until the owners got tired of paying the franchise fees. The recipes are the same, the internal set up is the same, and they are still using some of the old stuff from when it was a DD. Coffee is watered down and doesn't taste fresh. Donuts are often stale. Staff is friendly but over charge for what you get. I love dunkin and am mad they took the last real donut shop away from us bcs they are cheap! read more

Okay, so you can get donuts just about anywhere, but here is why day night gets 5 stars. 24 hours, I live with 2 mid 20's guys that work odd hours, and I myself work 2 jobs with varying schedules, if I can get a donut that isn't stale from sitting in Walmart all day at 3am I am thrilled. Fast, and friendly staff, with a large variety of donuts to choose from it helps to have friendly staff for recommendations. My favorite thing though is how kid friendly they have been. I am a nanny, and when I am in need of quick, cheap coffee, that still tastes good, and a small treat for the kids I love going here. A few months back I ordered a smoothie for my kiddos to share, and the girl behind the counter gave us two cups and each kid free donut holes. The little things like that keep me coming back. read more

OMG! Bavarian cream filled donut holes are utterly sinfully delicious here! Never a bad idea to have a go to doughnut shop near by. Many different varieties to choose from both regular sized doughnuts and on the doughnut hole selection which is a nice change. There is also a frozen yogurt bar in the same space they occupy so that's also a bonus :D read more

Ugh , such a sad sad place , I used to enjoy going but now the service stinks the place stinks and is sticky and run down looking to be grossed out go eat here . I've have never had a bad experience here and the donuts are great! Maple bars....YUM!! With that being said why are people who don't live in Salem or even in Oregon writing trash reviews?
