Dude City Donuts!
Linda O.

Donuts I picked up this morning and ate hrs later were still very fresh and flavorful. The apple fritters actually had apples chunks in them! Special thx to the kid who was nice enough to bring them out to my car too. You rock dude! This is the place for fresh, great tasting donuts!

Visited: Wed May 13th 8:00 am New donut shop just opened up on Lancaster, South of Hwy 22 at the Home Depot entrance. Establishment was brightly lit and cheerful...Like most new eateries, the behind the counter activity was buzzing with enthusiasm and just the simple fact of staff trying to familiarize themselves with products and procedures. The behind the counter display of donuts reminded me of a Daynight Donuts or Dunkin Donuts. From the menu display, in addition to the donut offerings, breakfast sandwiches and a variety of standard coffee shop choices are being offered. The donut variety being displayed look rather simplistic and basic without the outlandish offerings and toppings. Thus, the pricing is reasonable and affordable for the whole family or the workplace. I was greeted with a smile and cheerful greeting when it was my turn to order. For my initial visit here, I just stuck to a half-dozen order of glazed, cake and creme filled donuts. The total cost was $6.75. When I reached home, the donuts was nice & moist and tasted very good with no surprises. With that being said and being the closest donut shop to my residence, I will definitely be back to Dude Donut City.

These donuts are pretty good. They could be better but they're not terrible. The customer service is decent and I would rather eat these donuts than day night donuts any day.

Very yummy donuts! Great selection, and good price. My son especially loved the Bavarian cream filled donuts.

It's perfect that you can get donut comfort food in Salem, late at night! They seemed to be making more fresh donuts even after 10pm. I was especially pleased with both the raspberry and the chocolate cream-filled donuts and the varieties of fruit jelly-filled ones like: mango, guava, and strawberry. This place is well-lit, filled with donut options and worth a try.

I'm not sure what kinda shady business this is, our last visit was 6/17/2020 and spent $5.61. Today 7/10/2020 I had TWO back to back charges for $5.61 on my PayPal debit card while sitting at home. Their donuts are mediocre, it's nice to have a donut shop on this end of town. The coffee could definitely use a much needed improvement. All in all, we will visit this place but to date, nothing beats Roth's donuts.

Not my favorite donuts. The filling is inconsistent & not well portioned. The donuts were crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside but VERY greasy. I wanted to like them but there was too much grease & they were inedible after a couple bites. The bear claws were the only thing that gave me pause & convinced me to try again in a couple months when they've got their groove a little more streamlined. Also, would be nice to include the higher end donuts like the bear claws in your half dozen at just a slight up-charge instead of having to leave with 8 donuts when we only wanted 6. Overall: will return but only specifically to try the "higher end" donuts.

Super friendly customer service, these folks love donuts and love selling them. The quality was very very good with all the right bases covered. Fresh, high quality. These folks are now in my top 3 donut shops in Salem. Plus, they're open early and on the way to or from work for me.

I hate giving low scores, but it wasn't anything I would go back for. Our donuts were very dry and the blueberry donut I had tasted too much like a fake extract flavor. The logo and design is cool though.

It's a small space with a couple of indoor tables and a few tables on the sidewalk. We were greeted warmly and given time to look over the menu and space to ask questions. We went with a dozen, 2 of each flavor, and a couple of drinks. We all really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar, which was served piping hot. My husband loved the maple. My favorites were the lemon poppyseed and the chocolate, which tasted a lot like a brownie. My daughter's favorite was the s'mores, you could definitely taste the marshmallow in the glaze. It's astonishing that these are vegan and gluten free! They were better than I expected, better than a "regular" one. My daughter got their strawberry matcha and declared it better than any she had in Japan. It had strawberry puree on the bottom and was dusted with strawberry on top. We also tried their seasonal latte, which was good! This will be a must visit anytime we are remotely near Salem and we would love to see them open a spot in Portland! Just putting that into the universe.

The donuts are self-serve with trays and tongs. They had a wide variety available. I selected a original glazed, a pretty in pink (strawberry glazed), a chocolate and a pandan. I also ordered two K-dogs (Korean-style elevated corn dogs), and a classic pearl milk tea with the standard brown sugar boba. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes. My drink was a pretty standard boba drink. Good, but nothing special. The drinks are very customizable, with ice amount and sweetness level just two of the options. The K-dogs were really tasty. I got an Potato Dog (which is a corn dog covered with crispy potato cubes and served with a fry sauce). The other dog I chose was the Gochujang Dog: their standard corn dog with Gochujang sauce. You have the option of having your K-Dog stuffed with mozzarella, a hotdog, or half hotdog and half mozzarella. I did half dog, half mozzarella on both. The cheese made the K-Dogs like huge fried mozzarella sticks. I enjoyed both, they were huge, and I ended up splitting them with a friend. I had both sauces on the side as my order was to go, and both complimented the rich cheese/dogs nicely. The fry sauce was rich and tangy, and the Gochujang a little spicy and a little sweet. The donuts were good too. This was my first time trying mochi donuts. The mochi flour gives the donuts a firmer and denser texture than your standard donut. I love other mochi desserts, but here I missed the lightness and melt-in-your-mouth quality of regular donuts. That is more of a personal preference, but something to be aware of, especially if you are sensitive to textures in food. It seemed like most of the individual flavors of each donut came more from the toppings rather than the donut itself. That isn't unusual with donuts of any kind. The service was awesome, and I was intrigued most by the K-Dogs. I will be back when I am in the mood for an different kind of treat.

They weren't parked at river front any more so I tracked their number down threw yelp. Andrea who's the owner of the business was super friendly and even offered to deliver me 6 mini vegan donuts to wherever I was!!! Not only vegan donuts but delivered right to me! We ordered 3 boxes each go for about $20 now, and found that most of the donuts were under-filled. The one pictured was supposed to be blackberry filled glazed, the pastry itself was still good how I remember (on this donut anyway, the coconut creams tasted stale) but it only had about a teaspoon of filling- and the other two blackberrys had the exact same. Apart from jellies all other filled donuts we had were severely under-filled. I wish I could say the service was good instead but the lady at the counter was quite rude while waiting for our order making a grand statement about how she had things in the back to do (I've worked customer service, I understand being busy or understaffed but her tone was enough to send my mother out the door) we had a large order- it was going to take time, but her attitude was out of place. It did not feel like the daynight I used to know. Will be going to the other location and praying for better result- never coming back to this one.

Topped with a hot gooey layer of house made sausage gravy. The overall size of this steak was about as big as my face. To complement this enormous steak was eggs, a biscuit & some smashed Yukon potatoes..like they were literally small potatoes they just smashed which was really different to me because I've never seen that before. I also had to order the infamous cinnamon roll pancake I been seeing floating around on other people's reviews. The restaurant is a literal house and while charming it is small and packed inside and the parking lot is also really small so you may need to get there early or expect to park somewhere else in the streets.
