The food was good and I couldn't leave without buying some of their smoked Oaxacan cheese to take with me. Let me tell you, it only lasted me 2 days. I wish I had bought more. As I was buying the cheese, I saw a family enjoying some ice cream cones and I had to try their ice cream as well. This place has everything. I got a cone of the Oregon mint and honestly I think it might be one of the best flavors of ice cream I have ever had. It was so fresh and flavorful and I was actually sad when I started getting to the bottom of the cone. If you're an ice cream person, you have to try it. They also gave me a card for a free game of bowling at Northgate Bowl which I thought was a really neat bonus. I wasn't in the area long enough to use it, but if we had been staying longer I definitely would have tried out the bowling as well. This is exactly the kind of local business I want to support. It's warm, welcoming, and most importantly, all of the products that they are putting out are fresh, delicious and made with love.

Tough review to post. The food, great definitely a 5 star. However, the lady working tonight was horrible. She was so rude - actually I have never experienced such an unhappy to be working person in my life. We met friends there, we got there first and then about 5 other families joined us. The lady was SUPER rude, I thought she just didn't like me. The other people who joined us all experienced the same treatment. I wouldn't normally post but the fact that we all experienced this was pretty evident. read more

I always get the mangonada and it never lets me down. The workers are always beyond friendly and working hard, and my food always tastes delectable. I normally go at night but even then the vibes are always the best and staff is so friendly. read more

When customers are paying around $8 per slice, there should be consistency so everyone receives the same value. Investing in a cake slicer or portioning guide could help solve this issue. I also recently ordered a 6-inch birthday cake for my daughter, and when I received it, it appeared to be barely 5 inches. To the owner's credit, they did reach out to me, acknowledged the issue, and provided a gift card to make things right, which I genuinely appreciated. Good customer service means a lot, and I want to recognize them for addressing my concern. Unfortunately, the replacement cake I ended up purchasing was disappointing. Nobody in my family was particularly happy with it, and the quality just wasn't what we've come to expect. Over the last year especially, it seems like the quality and freshness of the cakes have become inconsistent. Sometimes they're excellent, and other times they taste stale or simply aren't very good. Customer service can also be hit or miss. I've had some positive interactions, but there have also been times when the service felt less than welcoming. I am not writing this review to tear down a local business. In fact, I continue to support them because I know what they're capable of when they're at their best. However, consistency is important. Consistent cake sizes, consistent quality, and consistent customer service would go a long way toward improving the overall experience. I hope this feedback is taken constructively because I'd love to see the shop return to the level of quality that made me a regular customer in the first place.
