I asked for a vegetarian option and the person at the front counter suggested the veggie burrito. It was really good - beans, rice, and veggies. No cheese, sour cream on the side. Everything tasted fresh! Most options include meat. The selection is like what you'd find at a taco truck. I also liked the super spicy red salsa from the cart of optional toppings.

This place has all the right foods to represent the South of Mexico. I ordered a Cemita and it was delicious, as close as you can get probably for Salem. The service was great

I paid $9.99 for a chile relleno burrito that had very little cheese and was a total rice bomb.

Not good, lacking in flavor. First time here, very disappointed, the milanesa tasted old and fried in a pool of oil. I do not recommend.

We stopped by for a Saturday lunch, and were quite pleased with our visit…read more The entrance into the establishment is a complete bottleneck, but once you figure out bakery orders are on one side, and check-in for dining is on the other, it kind of makes sense -- its just a tight space when you also have patrons leaving. We were seated quickly -- it was a nice day, so we sat in their lovely outdoor dining area. They brought us room temperature waters (not a fan), and took our drink orders rather quickly. Service was good throughout our visit. I ordered the IPA Bacon Cheeseburger, which came (over)loaded with lots of fresh vegetables, a large burger patty, and the IPA mustard sauce. I don't want to complain about a burger being piled high with bacon, pickles, and fresh onions, lettuce, & tomatoes; but it was difficult to eat. While the Challah bun was delicious, it was woefully undersized for the task of holding it all together. I enjoyed it, but felt the IPA sauce was lost in the midst of everything else, and I also thought the burger patty was under-seasoned. I ordered fries as a side, and unfortunately they were the "battered" variety, which I just don't enjoy. Restaurants -- please, just serve normal French fries, without any batter on them! We knew from past experience that baked goods and desserts are really what La Provence is good at, so we ordered Tiramisu for dessert. Their very non-traditional take on this Italian classic would probably some people uneasy, but it was delicious. It had a dense chocolate cake base, with a thick layer of mascarpone mousse on top of that, then a topping of thin, crunchy, chocolate hazelnut ganache. Not too sweet, with a variety of textures to enjoy. We would definitely come back again, but I'd get something other than burger and fries.

Can't go wrong with La Provence breakfasts, whether it's savory or sweet they know how to get it…read moreright! Today I chose the baked eggs a la francaise and it hit the spot. I'm a fan and I appreciate consistency. I was in Lake Oswego for a meeting and this was a safe bet since I know they are great with many options for everyone. They have tasty cocktails and coffees. Don't forget the baked goods before you head out. I usually add one of they yummy oversized croissants but my breakfast came with crustini's so I passed this visit.

At this point I've tried a number of things here and every one of them were delicious! The Japanese pancakes were so fluffy and fun, called ahead just to make sure they could make them right after opening but couldn't get through. THEY CALLED ME BACK IMMEDIATELY!! I have never had a food place care enough to actually call back if they miss a call. I was so happy with the pancakes too, nicely made and yummy. Their tiny cakes are all perfect too, I'm in love with each one especially the PDX rose! So bright and flavorful, with a beautiful outside that matches its taste! Can't forget the Japanese Cream Cheese Bun, it's soooooo good and the price matches the taste (aka good price for a good dessert). Not too sweet but still delicious! Just gotta make sure you eat it fresh, forgot to eat my last one for an hour and it got dry but still had its yummy taste. I super recommend this place!!

I was SO looking forward to taking my 10 and 11 year old grandkiddos here. They'd fallen in love…read morewith the fluffy Japanese eggy pancakes on a recent trip there. I added breakfast to this place while they visited me for a few days. We called in our order as instructed on the website. Unfortunately no Boba was available for on the pancakes. When we arrived I was disheartened to find the place rather small either intense heat of a bakery, which made the lone table inside with a meandering fly the least bit welcoming. When adding drinks to our order, the lone man working there asked me a few times whether I really was ordering coffee for a child (and yes, she settled on a mocha when it was determined he only knew how to sprinkle matcha powder on the pancakes, and hadn't a clue as to their application to drinks). My grandson ordered their 'special hot chocolate' which pretty much tasted like watered-down Ovaltine. We sat outside to eat and after a few bites and finding these were nothing like the fluffy Japanese pancakes they'd expected, we threw away $44 worth of what was supposed to be a pleasant breakfast experience. I guess this was a life lesson for the kids, that our expectations aren't always met. And I want to prevent any other adults from making the same mistake I did in taking my business there!
