Well I love donuts how about you but this place is dirty and expensive the staff had trouble understanding us and we had trouble understanding them.now this use to be Duncan donuts Well it's a sad shame they are ok donuts and the coffee was bad.i was so disappointed maybe a different location would be better at least I hope so.no I don't recommend going to this place.

    Donut 'glazed'

The absolute worst donuts I have ever had. Completely ruined our Christmas morning tradition. Besides being almost completely inedible, the donuts they are calling glazed weren't even glazed, they were sour cream cake donuts. I spit out the first bite, it was THAT BAD!

a glazed donut with chocolate icing

They have gone downhill. I believe them to be under new management. Their shelves were minimally stocked at 11am which is unusual from what it always was. When I asked what that was when she put the old fashioned into my box, she said "a donut" I expected her to replace it but just as well she didn't as I was able to photograph. It

Human poop covered with white powdered detergent

Someone brought donuts from this business to our office. To be honest, I don't know if they came from the Fairgrounds or Commercial St location. There was one in particular that I enjoyed. Since then I started going to the Fairgrounds location every so often. The donut was good. The location inside and out is less than appealing. Appearances are dirty, run-down and uncared for. Still, they have this one donut I like. I also appreciate they are open 24 hours. Several weeks ago when I visited, there was a homeless man sitting in a wheelchair under their awning. I visited the next day when we were receiving a very heavy downpour. I looked at where the homeless man had been sitting and saw a very large pile of human excrement. The homeless man was now out on the sidewalk next to the street in this heavy downpour. I visited again shortly after and still saw this pile of poop next to their doorway. No sign of the homeless man but the poop remained. No doubt they chased him off for good reason. He took a giant dump right at the front of their business. I visited again and saw they did not bother to clean this up, they simply poured what looks like powdered detergent over it. I have subsequently visited several more times and this white powdered poop still remains! It's unbelievable that not a single person in this restaurant has the care, concern or ability to clean this up. I'm guessing they are hoping the magic detergent they sprinkled over it will simply restore the situation to clean. It's sad, sick and disgusting!!! Really makes me wonder what they are doing or not doing in their kitchen that we can't see.

    Donut run!

I love that this location is open 24/7 because I've found my here a few times either during the day or in the middle of the night due to desperate donut craving crisis. I've never had problems with the customer service here, they just don't talk very much so I can see why people get the impression that they're "rude". The donuts here are delicious and reasonably priced. Though, I don't recommend getting their biscuits & gravy or angus burger here because they're just frozen microwaved items bought bulk from Costco. They used to have a FROYO section at the other end of the restaurant, but it's no longer here. They still haven't changed their sign outside...

Expired and spoiled Tropicana orange juice bought from DayNight Donuts on 01/22/2020
    Allison E.

I stopped by Day Night Donuts this morning 01/22/2020 and bought donuts and two Tropicana orange juice bottles, when I got home I went to open the bottles and noticed the orange juice seemed discolored and then saw the expiration date on the bottles was 12/22/2019. This is unacceptable, perhaps I should've noticed in the store the dates but silly me, I assumed a restaurant would have unspoiled food products and didn't think it was my job to check expiration dates on food they sell. Will never go here again as this is disgusting and a waste of my money. Customers beware!! Check all the products you buy first there, they may be spoiled and expired!!

    Michael V.

Very convenient that this place is 24 hours. They provide a consistent level of quality for their products and the staff are always nice here. I do however wish they would add more variety to their selection like voodoo donuts, that's the only thing hindering me from giving 5 stars.

It's on a cute street in the heart of downtown, just blocks from the riverfront. It's a small space with a couple of indoor tables and a few tables on the sidewalk. We were greeted warmly and given time to look over the menu and space to ask questions. We went with a dozen, 2 of each flavor, and a couple of drinks. We all really enjoyed the cinnamon sugar, which was served piping hot. My husband loved the maple. My favorites were the lemon poppyseed and the chocolate, which tasted a lot like a brownie. My daughter's favorite was the s'mores, you could definitely taste the marshmallow in the glaze. It's astonishing that these are vegan and gluten free! They were better than I expected, better than a "regular" one. My daughter got their strawberry matcha and declared it better than any she had in Japan. It had strawberry puree on the bottom and was dusted with strawberry on top. We also tried their seasonal latte, which was good! This will be a must visit anytime we are remotely near Salem and we would love to see them open a spot in Portland! Just putting that into the universe.

The donuts are self-serve with trays and tongs. They had a wide variety available. I selected a original glazed, a pretty in pink (strawberry glazed), a chocolate and a pandan. I also ordered two K-dogs (Korean-style elevated corn dogs), and a classic pearl milk tea with the standard brown sugar boba. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes. My drink was a pretty standard boba drink. Good, but nothing special. The drinks are very customizable, with ice amount and sweetness level just two of the options. The K-dogs were really tasty. I got an Potato Dog (which is a corn dog covered with crispy potato cubes and served with a fry sauce). The other dog I chose was the Gochujang Dog: their standard corn dog with Gochujang sauce. You have the option of having your K-Dog stuffed with mozzarella, a hotdog, or half hotdog and half mozzarella. I did half dog, half mozzarella on both. The cheese made the K-Dogs like huge fried mozzarella sticks. I enjoyed both, they were huge, and I ended up splitting them with a friend. I had both sauces on the side as my order was to go, and both complimented the rich cheese/dogs nicely. The fry sauce was rich and tangy, and the Gochujang a little spicy and a little sweet. The donuts were good too. This was my first time trying mochi donuts. The mochi flour gives the donuts a firmer and denser texture than your standard donut. I love other mochi desserts, but here I missed the lightness and melt-in-your-mouth quality of regular donuts. That is more of a personal preference, but something to be aware of, especially if you are sensitive to textures in food. It seemed like most of the individual flavors of each donut came more from the toppings rather than the donut itself. That isn't unusual with donuts of any kind. The service was awesome, and I was intrigued most by the K-Dogs. I will be back when I am in the mood for an different kind of treat.

I gotta say it was some of the best fried chicken I ever sampled. The slaw was very tasty as well. Great combination of savory and sweet. My daughter and I split an order of chicken as we wanted to sample the beignets. We ordered the Killa bees and they came out fluffy and hot with a very nice honey drizzle. Ryan also gifted us with a second order of beignets of our own choosing, and we asked for the Good God Lemon ones, and they were very sweet and tangy. For the five of us the bill came to right around a hundred dollars which being from California I found very reasonable.
