In any other world, this would be a sprawling Starbucks (#1) with a bunch of people lined up day in and out. But instead, Bentley's is a local Oregon chain, and a cheeky one at that with their fun drink names and Gen Z bold message decor. But what about the coffee? It's similar to the service, which is very good. The seating, at least inside, is somewhat minimal. There's plenty of space, which I can only deduce was a deliberate move for aesthetic reasons but also works for if there is a pooling of waiting coffee goers due to services slowdowns. The latter is somewhat true though, they're not the fastest or the most thorough (#2) but they get the job done. My drink of choice for now is their white chocolate kahlua cold brew. It is a little sweet but also potent enough to get that boost. Their smoothies are also popular and are the perfect summer treat. That strawberry smoothie with the parfait style whip is a nice choice and quite IG friendly as well. Most of the drinks are in the $6.50 for a large range and tend to be on the sweeter side. Parking, depending on how busy downtown might be, could be an issue here. I think Bentley's is best reserved a stroll nearby and finishing off the drink(s) while people watching from their outdoor table setup. I'm already looking forward to coming back again. ____________ (#1) And in another life, it was. I even reviewed it: https://www.yelp.com/biz/starbucks-salem-12 (#2) This may in large part be due to the city pace itself. Slow.

I have been so excited to try a local coffee shops throughout Salem! I saw that this location just opened in downtown, so I had to give it a try while shopping in the area. Immediately the staff greeted me and were very friendly. I found a couple "secret menu" items on their instagram, which were the Lavender Lemonade and the Cotton Candy Cremosa. To my surprise, they were both carbonated! I wasn't expecting either drink to be sparkling, but it was perfect for the summer heat. The drinks weren't too sweet and the flavor was refreshing. The lemonade even had little sprigs of lavender - so cute! The coffee shop has very modern and simple decor that is welcoming for studying or coffee dates. They have outdoor seating that they limit to 1 hour as well (probably due to COVID-19). I have to come back and try their coffee sometime!

I've been to this location a couple times before and I always enjoy coming back for a visit. I like the warmth of the inside when ever I visit. The baristas are always friendly and helpful. Today, upon drinking our coffee there was a customer who accidentally didn't get the drink that he ordered, one of the nice baristas took the right drink, outside into the cold,to try and make sure that he got what he ordered. It's great to see how the go above and beyond for the customers.

Friendly staff, excellent drinks. Perfect casual coffee/tea shop. I'll definitely be back!

I came in here and the baristas were instantly super sweet!! The inside is very nice and aesthetic, really nice to sit inside and chat. I ordered an oat milk matcha which was a little too sweet but overall pretty good! Definitely would recommend if you're in the area.

No "public bathrooms" even if you are a customer. Drink the coffee but go elsewhere to empty your bladder!!!

Lots of unused space in the middle of the shop would be of better use with furniture and tables and chairs and cozy lighting.

10 OMG where do I begin? We visited this quaint little…read morerestaurant in Salem Oregon on our way out of town. We had the pleasure of having the best waitress named Kelly. Kelly was so friendly, so full of life and energy and love. It seemed like everyone loves working there.. The food was absolutely amazing. Amazing from beginning to end this was by far superior to any restaurant I've been to in a long time. The service, the food, the ambience, sure wish it was in my town. Everyone at our table enjoyed their breakfast. We couldn't take it with us unfortunately because we're flying home today, but the portions are huge. Do yourself a favor and visit this cozy place. The wait can be a bit, but absolutely beyond worth the wait.

Stairs up to entry was very dangerous with waiting customers using handrails on both sides, then,…read moreno landing at the top! We told hostess we did not want to sit at the bar, she sat us at the bar, after some more wait, we did get a table. Coffee was ok, but the cups were huge, always 2/3 full of cold coffee. The food took one hour to find our table. Nothing special, my wife had an omelet, with a big glob of Brie cheese, overpowering the omelet. I had corned beef hash that was extremely dry and salty. I also had warm rye bread. Not toasted. We were half done with our breakfast, and was given the bill, and boxes to go. Very rushed, crowded, and expensive. $58 for sub-par breakfast for 2. Sorry WOM, didn't cut it.
