I cannot emphasize enough how helpful and sweet Kristan was. I was struggling to find a bridesmaid's dress because I just returned from deployment and have only 2 months until my sister's wedding. Kristan was able to tell me what stores nationwide had available dresses - not only that, but she was actually able to FIND me a dress at their store and have it delivered to my home! I don't usually write reviews but for someone who takes extra time to help me, this review is well deserved. She had also tried on some of the dresses and was able to tell me how they all fit. This review is mainly for the alterations department, specially Tam Nguyen. I found a gorgeous wedding dress at David's Bridal as well as my bridesmaid dresses. I thought my dress was nice before, but Tam took it to another level. She took the time to shape and structure it to look most flattering on my body. I was nervous to get it altered, but I was so pleased with the outcome. I felt amazing on my wedding day!! My dress had a lot of detail and Tam was careful to preserve the detail perfectly, even though I'm sure it was a lot of work. She was sweet and positive and I really felt like she cared. Anytime I or anyone I know need a dress altered I'm sending them there. She absolutely earned my 5 star rating! I always find beautiful dresses at David's Bridal at pretty reasonable prices and it's great that they have locations all over so out of town wedding party members can easily access their own local store. Only complaint (sorry for the bummer after glowing but I have to be honest) is that every single time I'm in David's Bridal looking to purchase dresses, they seem understaffed. It seems like the dress consultants either stack their appointments too closely or take on too many customers at a time leaving everyone feeling underserved. I've been (as well as seen others) waiting around for the consultant to come back for way too long or have them forget to bring what they were going to get because they got caught up with their other groups of customers. If you had a few more employees at a time I think customers would feel a lot more satisfied. Either way, I'm sure I will be back to do business at this location again. read more

I went to David's this weekend and had quote a few people with me. The experience was not bad and I specifically asked for Brittney from one of the prior reviews and she was very pleasant, helpful as well as very comfortable to be around. She was very accomadating and informative so when I go back, I will ask for her again. I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere, not warm and fuzzy like new brides are feeling and more then half the staff does not smile or say excuse me in such a tight space. They do have good prices so some of the expectations others have had may be a little high for the price range they are but from a Brides perspective, I probably would ahve purchased more, had I felt pampered with the whole experience and had I had my own advisor. Ask for Brittney and you will not get a sour puss that doesn't smile like some I seen there and that the prior reviews have stated. read more

They said 10 minutes it was 30 then wanted t know again which styles we liked. More questions and measurements. Lonnie came back with no dresses not even something similar to what we had pointed out. Honestly super disappointed that I'm leaving a 1 star review for this place. It started when I booked an appointment online 3 weeks ago for my 4 bridesmaids and myself. It wasn't a bridal appointment, but it was a bridesmaids appointment. When I booked online, there was no indication that there was a limit to how many people could be in the store at once. It even let me select 5 people for the appointment. Fast forward to yesterday (two days before the apt), they call me and we end up talking, I confirm that it's for 5 people and they tell me we can only have 3 people for the apt. Everyone was traveling from completely different areas for this, so I was upset. We ended up working out a compromise. For the first 30 mins of my apt, I would have two of my bridesmaids in the store with me, and for the last 30 mins, the other two would come while the first two would wait in the car. Sound like a hassle? It was lol. Then when I showed up, two of my bridesmaids were already there and we stood waiting at the front. 10 mins into our appointment time, we're still standing and waiting. So I go and ask what we are waiting for because it was taking away from their time to try on dresses. They said they were waiting for the bride to show up. That's me. So I told them and they acted all surprised, yet they never asked if I was the bride or who I even was. A nice girl takes us back and explains the appointment only allows for 6 total dresses to be tried on between the 4 of them. I had already picked some and had them set them aside prior to coming in so we would be prepared. The girl grabs them for us and my first two bridesmaids try on their dresses and love them. We decide to get them. Then the girl tells us that one of the dresses wouldn't be ready in time for my wedding (even with rush) so we couldn't get it. We were upset that she let her try it on despite that info, but we moved on and found another dress. The next two bridesmaids come in, and the exact same thing happens! One of them tried on a dress, we LOVED it and then she tells us it's not gonna be available. Not to mention, that during this she was personally grabbing each dress and putting it in the room and not checking to see if it was available in our color. Frustrating. Then the other bridesmaid I have is 6 ft tall and they only have dresses made for girls around 5'7. So we find a dress she likes but is a bit too short. She asked if length can be added and they said not in time for the wedding. So she asks if she can pay to have it expedited and they said no. They can't do that unless she's ordering the dress two weeks before the wedding...makes pretty much no sense. My wedding is September 5th. 3 months from now! It should be easier to have something rushed ahead of time than 2 weeks prior. We were all looking forward to this appointment for weeks and we're pretty disappointed and left with frustration. I understand things are weird and different because of Covid-19, but that doesn't mean your business has to be unorganized. All we got was "I'm sorry about that". You guys can do better. UPDATE: the manager of the store called me and tried to work with me on the dress for my taller bridesmaid. We found a compromise that sounds promising. The manager, Ann, has been really helpful in trying to get this figured out and reached out to me right away. I really appreciate that and she has great customer service. While my experience prior wasn't great, Ann helped remedy the situation to the best of her ability. read more

I came back a 3rd time for something I had regretted not asking to change in my dress, and even after I had signed the contract saying all alterations were completed and the dress was finished, Elenica took it back to fix it one more time. This store is a complete joke from alterations to the store manager! 1. My bridesmaid dress was hemmed short, uneven and they took up the train. They offered to reorder me a new dress but then found out there wouldn't be time before the wedding. Sold me the display off the floor. The dress had snags, makeup and open seams. I was told the dress would be cleaned, fixed and hemmed. 2. Came in to pick up the dress which I never received a call it was done....... The dress was hemmed but not cleaned or fixed! The store manager argued with me saying it was a brand new dress that was ordered for me which I had pics of all the flaws. Now I'm asked to come in a 3rd time! So I went home looked at my receipt, and was overcharged for my fit and flare slip by $30 (it was on sale per the cashier and seamstress) I should have looked at the receipt before they have you sign it. (I was in the moment of having my 1st Fitting of my wedding dress). I go back to get a refund of the $30, she says sorry that sale ended prior to you. So I said I would like to get a full refund. She said "Sorry all sales are final". Excuse me, I have spent almost $2k in your store and you can't refund my $60 purchase. I have been to the Ahwatukee location several times, between my own wedding and my sister's wedding. From my experience, consultants seem to be a hit or miss, but I was very lucky to be paired with Renee, who did a fantastic job. I just picked up my wedding dress after my second fitting today and Tam had done an amazing job with the alterations. I went to this location for my first time trying on dresses. I set an appointment and waited patiently, even though I didn't get a stylist until 45 minutes after my scheduled time. My stylist was working with numerous other women, so the whole time, it was me and my mom pulling random dresses and squeezing into them because I didn't know my size in bridal gowns (which happened to be 2-3 sizes larger than my street size, I learned). My stylist pulled a total of TWO dresses for me. TWO. The rest were ones I hated myself in, that I had ignorantly picked off a rack. My mom and my family were very frustrated the entire time because we couldn't find my stylist most of the time and she wasn't helpful at all when we did get her. Then, as I was still trying on dresses, she came to tell me that she was leaving for lunch and if I needed anything, to find her. Now, if she's on lunch, how the heck am I going to find her?!? I knew I most likely wasn't going to find the dress, but I thought I would have at least come out with a little more knowledge on wedding dresses. Instead, I was left crying and frustrated in the dressing room. I will definitely look elsewhere and encourage friends to look elsewhere. read more

The whole staff was so friendly and welcoming but I worked with Lani and she was amazing. My mother, bridesmaid and I felt so comfortable with her and she could tell exactly what I wanted. I came to David's Bridal to find a dress for my wedding that was four weeks away. I knew I'd have to purchase off the rack, and was willing to do so. I made an appointment sand had an idea of what I wanted before I arrived. The consultant I had was extremely friendly and helpful, despite the fact that it was a busy Saturday, and she had other brides she was helping. She helped me find dresses that went along with the style I wanted, would fit my body type, and remained in my budget. I picked out ones I liked, and when those didn't work, she went and found more for me. She was so accommodating, and I could tell she really wanted to help me find a dress. I ended up finding a dress that I loved! It was in great condition, and just needed a few minor alterations. Unfortunately, my alterations appointment the next week was disappointing and frustrating. I arrived early to my appointment, and was shown back to the alterations curtain. I went inside, only to find an alterations lady pinning another bride's dress. The lady didn't say anything to me after I told her I was there for a 4pm appointment, and instead motioned for me to stand behind the curtain. I waited a half hour without help, and unsure of what to do, before someone came out and told me they were ready. The lady who was altering my dress complained most of the time about how she wanted to go home, and that she was too busy, which was disheartening for a bride buying her wedding dress. She was also frustrated with me, and rolled her eyes, when I told her I wanted to pick up my dress after 4pm on the pickup day. When I went to pick up my dress on the pickup day, it wasn't ready. Only one of the alterations had been completed. It still had the pins in the hem. The lady there was very rude and didn't seem to care about the dress not being done. My wedding was 2 days away, and I didn't have a dress. The alterations manager told me that they didn't know how much to hem it, so they did nothing. There was three weeks in between my first alterations appointment and my pickup. I had not received a phone call, or been asked to come in and try on the dress again. I came in expecting a finished dress, and it was not even close to ready. Thankfully, the manager came to the rescue and added all the finishing touches to my dress that night, and I was able to pick it up the next day. Overall, I would not recommend David's Bridal. If you must, buy the dress here and get it altered somewhere where they value you as a customer. read more

I few months back I just stopped in with my mom and to be sister in law and Hailey was able to fit us in to try on dresses. She was so sweet and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. At the time we weren't ready to make a purchase and I made an appointment and went back and was scheduled with her again. She was so sweet and patient and recommended things that would work best for me. I actually ended up purchasing the dress she had me try on last time. I'm so in love with it and so glad I got to work with Hailey! She is seriously the best and I would recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect dress for their day. The manager was rude and unhelpful. All they want is your money, if your looking for a company that will be personable and helpful please keep looking. I bought a bridesmaids dress and unfortunately the wedding was canceled but I was going to be in another wedding so I wanted to exchange my dress which was the same amount of money. I looked around for a dress and then went and got her and she grabbed them for me and took me to my room. She made my experience for my senior prom dress shopping special and I will always remember. Honestly, if I had the option I would give them no stars.... we had an absolutely terrible experience with this Company. Today we went in for my first fitting, and when I opened my dress I noticed the color was different then the original dress I had purchased. I immediately pulled out my phone to look at the original pictures of the dress from when I had purchased it. We explained the situation to the manager and seamstress, and showed them the pictures or the original dress and instead of trying to fix the situation they were too busy trying to prove us wrong. We asked if we could look around at other dresses to see if I could fine one I liked and they basically told us we would have to come back later for an appointment. With my wedding only being a month away I obviously don't have time to wait. All I have to say is the customer service here is severally lacking. At the end of the day we never received any kind of apology about the situation and we're forced to take our business elsewhere. Ladies, when you're buying your wedding dress you Should be treated like a queen, and this is not the experience you will get at Davids Bridal. read more

I had an appointment for today at 11am. It was to find bridesmaids dresses for all the bridesmaids in my sisters wedding. She had previously purchased her wedding dress there and had a spectacular wedding dress. I expected the same results looking for bridesmaids dresses. This however was not the case. When we arrived and checked in we were told to browse the dresses while we waited for our consultant to assist us. Well after about 15 walking around like chickens with our heads cut off, we had to find our consultant. I honestly don't think she even told us her name. But after she found us a dress we had liked on a display, she left. And we had to track her down again. She was assisting a bride. What the heck? Are they normally working two appointments at once? I was pissed. We all left and she didn't realize it. We were a solid bridal party sale and she couldn't give us the time of day and they had only just opened. I am very disappointed in my experience and don't recommend bridesmaid shopping here. Dillard's has the same dresses if not better dresses. I just have to say that Janelle is absolutely the best consultant here! I have made three appointments here and she is was the only one who was focused on my party the WHOLE appointment time. The two previous times the consultants would help me for the first few minutes and then they would get distracted with another customer. During my first appointment my bridesmaids had to help me get into and out of the wedding dresses because the consultant had disappeared. My second appointment was for the bridesmaids and we had to go pick dresses ourselves off the rack and she never even measured my bridesmaids. However, for my third appointment Janelle was very helpful. She measured my bridesmaid right away and picked out the dresses for me. She never disappeared and made me feel important the entire time. If you come here I recommend that you request Janelle, she is by far the best! read more

David's bridal is such a joke! Firstly, everything is sold separately. No warning either! And then I didn't even try on a dress in my budget! Actually I paid triple what my budget was! Then I go to alterations and they tell me I need at least 25 points on my bustle, when the max they sale is a 5 point! And now I have a brand new petticoat with tags and all and they won't return it! After paying an extra $80 for it for no reason. Then you pay all this money and they do t even give a garment bag you have to pay the extra 10 plus tax!! Biggest waste of my time! I've been to this David's Bridal location twice in the past two months; once in mid-January to buy shoes and then this past weekend to buy a bridesmaids dress. Let me break down this review into the two times I have been to this DB. Trip #1 - Shoes: Went on a Sunday afternoon in mid-January. Brides, mom, and friends galore...ahhhh get me out of here ASAP! Thankfully shoes do not require much help so this was a quick trip. The selection isn't huge, but there were enough for me to pick from. I had done some research online before going, so I found the four shoes I liked and tried them on. Settled on a pair and went up to the register. It took me a few minutes to get rung up - this store really needs to clearly mark lanes or do something to tell us where to stand if we are not buying a dress. The salesgirl who rang me up was super friendly and answered all my questions regarding shoe dying. I was in and out of the store within 20 minutes or so. 3.5 stars. Trip #2 - Dress: I decided it was probably time for me to go pick out a dress and order it for the August wedding, so I headed back to DB this past Saturday afternoon with my husband whose very honest opinion I wanted. Now I understand bridesmaids are only the backup singers in a wedding, but seriously it's not reason to completely ignore them when in a store trying to find dresses to try on. It took us almost 20 minutes to find someone to help us out. The store was not that crowded (I think I counted maybe five brides at the most trying dresses on) and there were sales people who would walk by us, not acknowledge us when we tried to get their attention, and then just stand around. Finally we were helped by Amber. She took the list of dresses I had written down, found them for me and set me up in a dressing room. Then she disappeared for the rest of my visit. I don't know if salespeople at DB work on commission, but if they do, she owes her commission from the sale to my husband because he did more work than she did. Luckily I found a really cute dress knee-length dress (note: they do not have very many short - knee length or tea length- dresses in the store...most are long) and got 15% off since my friend bought her wedding gown from DB in Ohio. Again, it was a nightmare trying to get rang up and after 70 minutes in DB from start to finish, we emerged. 1 star. I think the layout of the store is odd and they clearly need more racks for bridesmaid dresses as the racks they have now are packed way too tightly. Also, it would help if they had more sizes in dresses...it was almost impossible to find size 4s to try on and I was stuck trying on 8s for the most part. The register area is small and cramped and they really need to better organize it so people aren't just crowded in no semblence of a line waiting to be rang up. Hopefully my next trip to drop off shoes to be dyed will be quick and painless. I can only hope so. read more

The shopping experience when I first went in to the Phoenix location to find a dress was great! The woman that helped me was very patient and helpful. From there it only went downhill though. I was supposed to have bra cups put into the dress and it was to also include a preservation kit. The dress came without the bra cups and without the preservation kit. I had to call TWO more times until I finally got the preservation kit sent to me (which arrived less than a week before my wedding). I went to a David's Bridal in CT (Danbury) and we waited about 20-30 minutes in the back room without even being acknowledged by a seamstress. When I finally walked out to get someone, the woman was extremely rude and inpatient. She wanted to put the WRONG bra size cups on my dress and her solution to me wanting to cover up my cleavage a bit was to put a material on my dress that didn't even match. We ended up walking out and going somewhere else. The service was horrible. Come to find out, my dress was also missing a clasp in the back AND the bustle. I would NOT recommend David's Bridal for any brides. read more

I made an appointment for pick out a wedding dress. Before going I looked online and found 8-10 dresses that would work for $200 and added them to my favorites. When I got to the store, at opening it was a bit of a mad house. Upon working with my consultant, who was very nice, I was told that NOT one of the dresses I liked was in the store. I told her my budget and we went to work, which didn't take long as it seems they have got a "bait and switch" tactic going on. There were so few dresses at the $200 mark and the ones that were there looked like a white version of something I would wear with flip flops walking along Mission Beach. After trying on the few dresses and being totally discouraged I was told I could order one of the dresses I liked online but if it didn't suit me I could only get store credit not a refund. I thought that was a poor policy and left completely discouraged. The good news is my next stop was Group USA and I found a stunning dress for $200 that did not even need to be altered. read more

When I showed up for my appointment on time there was a line with walk in brides ahead of me. After waiting in line for 15 minutes to check in, a gal at the front took my name and told me to go pick out a few dresses that I liked. I had already pick quite a few dresses off their web site that I liked but they didn't even care to look at those. After about 45 minutes without any help we wanted to leave. When we went to the front to give our appointment to another gal who has walked in, the manger told my sister she was trying to get us in, In a very rude tone of voice. I was so done.. I thought trying on wedding dresses was supposed to be a great experience, but it definitely was not here!!! The bridal consultant I worked with seemed nice at first but not long into my appointment she let me know that she had just put in her two weeks notice and proceeded to tell me how draining this job is and how unhappy she is doing it and how excited she is to leave. After I basically took over running the appointment and told her what dresses I wanted to try on, I found one that I considered my favorite of the day ( not even close to being "the one"). She called the alterations manager up after I told her that wasn't necessary. The alterations manager proceeded to show me how we can make the dress the way I wanted it. Before the alterations manager left us she started whispering to my consultant who exclaimed loudly that she was going to travel and be free and see the world. So I knew that once again during what was supposed to be a special appointment for me they were talking about my consultant and her plans which just made it all the more obvious that she didn't want to be here doing this job. Then to top it all off when she was talking to me about ordering the dress I told her that I was planning to lose quite a bit of weight and needed to figure out what size I wanted to order it in she said I shouldn't order it more than two sizes smaller than my current weight. I laughed and told her that I would definitely be losing more than two sizes and she said "honestly, in all my years of experience I've seen a lot of brides say they're going to lose more than two sizes and they never do." That killed my motivation, it definitely didn't make me want to buy a dress from David's Bridal and it really pissed me off. read more

She dealt with me and my crazy mom who wanted me to try on all kinds of dresses lol. She also had scheduled appointments there as well but I still felt like I had all her attention. The other lovely lady I got to chat with was Flo and she is another amazing employee. She helped me and my mom look at mother of the Bride dresses and was just amazing with also helping my mom look for dresses for me to try on. I would defiantly give these girls 20 stars if I could.
