This was an awful experience for my daughter getting a first communion dress. I made the appt 1 month ago communion is in May. I said it needs to be pure white and her size. It was inconvenient to park. The moment we walked in they said we could not get a white dress in time. So why not let us know before hand. It was very disappointing and they were just not helpful. I was in town visiting and hoped to go in to try on some dresses as a bridesmaid for an upcoming wedding in August. The bride has an appointment at another location next month and had the dresses picked out. This was my first time at Bella and didn't know the process and policies. I was greeted by a saleswoman that immediately gave me the energy and tone that she didn't want to help and that I was bothering her in her completely empty store. When I entered, there wasn't even anyone at the door and I had to walk around to look for someone to take care of me. She immediately dismissed being of any help because the bride had not completed her appointment, even though we had dresses picked out. Apparently that's not "registered" in the system? Not sure, but that seems like a poor customer service policy to me. I was prepared to buy a dress on the spot at the store and provide my business, but the only way she would take me is if I paid a try-on fee, just because the bride had not completed her appointment. While I understand there are policies at each store, the lady was not able to even explain the process and options I had. I even called the bride to confirm that we were going to do business here, but she was very dismissive of me and the business we were trying to give, not providing any realistic options. We ordered a gown from another online retailer because it looked great and had a price tag we couldn't resist, but when it arrived you could clearly tell it was poor quality and the length was going to be an issue, as the dress wasn't made to order. The problem was I fell in love with the color. I brought the color swatch to Bella and Brianna immediately pulled the first gown and matched the color almost perfectly!! She understood my situation and explained all the details I needed to make a quick decision as I didn't realize how long it can take to get a bridesmaid gown in. Update 3/10/2020 - Understood, which I why I came back in to select another dress - My email stated "I really feel frustrated given that I had ordered the size X based on the recommendation of your associate. I stated multiple times that I thought the X was the safer bet and my first order that couldn't come in time was a size X. I recognize that I should have gone with my gut and take responsibility for that but given that it seems there are no other options in terms of exchange, I don't think it is unreasonable for Bella Bridesmaid to pay for the alterations." - When I met with the seamstress she asked me what would I do to make the dress perfect... I replied that I would insert a slip and remove excess fabric on the back but was most concerned about the fit of the bodice as it was way too tight. She looked at it and stated it would need boning put in to fix this, which is a significant amount of work that they could not complete in time. She stated work like that typically costs between $300-$400. Again, the focus of the entire conversation was the bodice. I told them I didn't care about the other two items (those were wishlist) as long as we could fix the top. They recommended I go to another seamstress who might have the time to fix the bodice. All of this was communicated to your team. I reiterated over the phone that I was taking it to another seamstress for a second opinion and would follow up as I felt it was outrageous to spend that kind of a money to fix a bridesmaid dress. I in no way was asking for Bella Bridesmaid to pay for the full cost but was asking for consideration to help cover some of the cost. I stated to your team that I didn't need the dress to be perfect, I just needed it to fit. I communicated that starting all over was not an option given the wedding is fast approaching. I was then told by your team member that your store was absolutely unwilling to cover anything and my only option was to return the dress completely. Your associate stated verbatim that there was no room to compromise or meet in the middle. The attitude was very much 'not my problem". - I was told that you had 14 days from the time you pick up the dress to notify Bella if there was an issue (this is also stated on your website). I did this both times. - As a FYI, I did go to another seamstress and we were able to come up with a fix for $60. This would have been the price I would have asked Bella to cover, again given the poor recommendation by your associate AND the fact that your store is unable to get any other options in the correct size and color. This is not an unreasonable request. I also in no way threatened as a 'this for that' as you are intimating in your response. I stated that I would be sharing my experience with Yelp to ensure customers knew your quality of customer service and willingness to work with the customer. read more

She knew the inventory well, so she was able to pull other dresses that were perfect for me. She also gave great suggestions on how to alter the dresses for a great fit. Bella Bridesmaids provides excellent service and has a beautiful variety of dresses. I drove from Tucson to try on styles, check out colors, and get measured. I recommend scheduling an appointment. My sister (bride) created an account and Brianna was able to assist me. The only reason I am not giving Bella 5 stars is because none of the 3 styles my sister selected and tried on in NYC were in stock at this location. However, Brianna provided an easy experience to explore colors and try on other styles. The space is very organized and I love the location in Old Town! We had a good experience trying on dresses in the beginning but when the dresses came in there were many issues with sizing and quality. They do not measure you correctly then don't help fix the mess. My maid of honor ended up paying almost the same amount of money as the dress for alterations because of the sizing issues. It was absolutely ridiculous! My wedding was beautiful but I wish I would have researched more stores before choosing the dresses for my bridesmaids. Would have saved us all time, money, and hassle! Our appointment was July 13, 2016. I will spare the girl that helped us the public humiliation of posting her name. (Although part of me would like to.) I have debated posting this review because I do not like leaving bad reviews & never do. I am in the hospitality industry & know how difficult it can be to deal with the public. In order for me to go to this length, you have to really upset me. It started when we walked in. I quickly greeted the shop assistant and (when she told us her name) I told her that she was the person I spoke to on the phone & thanked her for being so helpful. To this she responded with a weird look in my direction and said, "Oh, really? Well, I don't remember that at all. Probably wasn't me." I was a little thrown off by this because it immediately made the group, and myself, uncomfortable. After that, our experience only became worse. She seemed annoyed by our presence (even though we had had the appointment for almost a month), she was obviously irritated by my bridesmaids questions (these are very kind women, I promise you!), and, at one point, my sister-in-law asked a question and she remained silent until I finally stepped in and answered it the best I could. I had to basically take over with what little knowledge I had on the dresses and she disappeared to sit in their office. I really tried to remain positive and didn't let any of my girls see how disappointed I was. This is my first engagement & I had been looking forward to this day with my favorite 6 women for a very long and We had just had a lovely brunch & some of my bridesmaids took the day off of work specifically for this. Plus, all of us had driven across town for this appointment. (About 30-45 mins!) Maybe that was part of the problem though. Maybe our zip codes did not meet her obviously high standards. The icing on the cake was when another group of ladies entered the shop. Her attitude changed immediately! They announced that they were a HALF HOUR early their scheduled appointment & were willing to wait until ours was over. Instead of asking if I minded or offering them a beverage while they waited, the newly revived shop assistant urged them to begin shopping and trying on dresses without so much as looking my way. One of the girls in the new group quickly reached over me & plucked a dress from my hands that my sister was trying to color swatch. To say I wasn't pleased is an understatement. We headed to the back to meet the rest of my ladies who were waiting patiently by the office with a few more questions before purchasing. The shop attendant was too busy with the new group and enthusiastically helping them with dresses in a way we did not receive. Although frustrated, I made one last attempt to make the best of it. I politely asked her if she would come over and answer a few last questions to which she begrudgingly responded, "I'll be there in a minute," and continued helping her new group--a group that was very early to their appointment! That's when I snapped. I asked which girls planned on buying their dress that day and ALL of them said they wanted to. I apologized to them fiercely & asked that they wrote the information for their dresses in their phones. I could not support a business that was comfortable treating their customers in this manner. We quickly gathered our things and began to exit the shop. Just as we were about to leave the shop assistant half-heartedly asked, "Did you have some questions before you go?" I almost laughed out loud but was too angry to let it escape. Instead, I simply responded, "I believe we got all of the answers we need," and left. In the beginning, I tried to justify her behavior to just having a "bad" day--we all have them. But, after seeing how quickly she changed her tune when the super tan, fresh blowouts, & luxury tote clad group of girls came in, I was infuriated. I would hate to think that the fact that my bridal party is half Latina women & that we are all from the West Valley of Phoenix would have anything to do with it but, unfortunately, that is all I am left with to assume. We may not be from Scottsdale, but we are a group of good-hearted, hardworking, educated, & patient women who deserved to enjoy that day. Sadly, this will go down as one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. To top it off, she missed out on the sale of six dresses! But I am sure they didn't need "our" money. My only hope is that this review makes them think twice the next time they want to judge a book by its cover... Or it's zip code! read more

Not a fan. The woman who helped with our dresses didn't measure us, and didn't even put our sizes in the dressing room. She claimed she could use clips to show us what it would look like. Um, sorry, I can't fit into an 8 if I'm a 14. She didn't put our choices in the right rooms so I ended up not being able to try anything on at first because they were all too small or the wrong fit. all of the dresses were really uncomfortable, and the prices were exorbitant. If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I called to order a Crinkle Chiffon color swatch in Coral MONTHS AGO. I never received it in the mail. I go into Bella Bridesmaids a couple of weeks after I order the color swatch to see one in person because it hadn't come in the mail yet. I stood at the entryway, and no one greeted it me for almost 5 minutes, and there were people there. Finally, another associate (a black woman) greeted me. She showed me the color swatch I was looking for and told her that I ordered it but couldn't remember the lady's name and that I hadn't received it in the mail. The young lady I ordered the swatch from overheard me and said she ordered it for me and will be in the mail to me. This was back in February. I called June 8, 2018,​ four times. Someone finally answered the fourth time. The same young that supposedly ordered the color swatch for me and supposedly mailed it to​ me, answered the phone and told me that she will order another swatch and give me a call when she receives it in store, so I gave her my number. It is now June 14th. I have heard ​nothing. My wedding is September 1st and I am really trying to coordinate colors, since this is the ONLY retailer of WATTERS close by. I feel that I have been more than patient with this place. Two words I have for this establishments employees: Trash Box! read more

I had such a lovely experience trying on dresses. The dress size I tried on was an 8 and fit me perfectly. When I went into the store to pick up and try on my dress the lady had to a hard time zipping me in the dress and couldn't clip it. I could barely breathe in the dress. I understand when you try on dresses they may be stretched out a bit and weigh could be added but this was extremely tight in the lace on my rib cage not stomach area. The employee did not recommend any solutions and she knew I left unhappy because it didn't fit. I couldn't even ask for another size or dress because it would take another 12-16 weeks and wouldn't have it in time for the wedding. I went to alterations to take out the zipper and make a V shape to be able to breathe but the laced part on my rib cage was just way to tight. Overall I was not once satisfied wearing this dress and the sizing is not accurate. Another girl in the bridal party order a size 8 (same size as me) and it was 3x two big for her... I am getting married December 2022 and for this reasoning I will not use Bella Bridesmaids due to the sizing issues we have experienced and their length of time to even fix the issue on their end. read more

Working with Bella Bridesmaids was a true highlight of our wedding planning! The store is clean and pristine, dresses carefully hung and cared for. When I first met with Laura, I shared that we had TEN bridesmaids with varying body types and that I wanted them all in dresses they loved that were flattering AND that fit the style of our wedding (flowy, shades of blue/grey, romantic). Laura was so patient and found EVERY GIRL a dress!! When I asked Laura if she could replace the dress hanger with a personalized hanger that I'd drop off, she was happy to help with the surprise. Both of the owners were more than helpful and were available whenever I had questions (which was a little bit more often and more of a pain since I'm out of state). ZERO STARS!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! In November we went to try on bridesmaid dresses. The girls that were helping us out were in a rush and didn't take the time to make sure we were satisfied. The kept rushing us and saying you only have 5 minutes left to make a decision. With my wedding being so close, I decided to order bridesmaids dresses from them due to the limited timeframe. I shouldn't have but they were being so pushy. WORST DECISION EVER!! When the dresses arrived the were COMPLETELY the wrong size. No alterations could be completed in time for the wedding. Not to mention, the thousands of dollars it would have cost to fix these dresses that were supposed to be "custom orders". Yeah right. The dresses were 2-3 sizes too large. So much for the custom measurements for these dresses. We ended up having to buy completely new dresses off the rack. When we confronted them about the issue they said they wouldn't do anything to help us. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND DO NOT GO HERE. read more
