Super cute boutique! I went here with my cousin to look for her wedding dress. (Spoiler alert - she said yes to the dress at Brilliant Bridal!) It is in a plaza that is older but still has charm. Plenty of parking. Once you enter, it truly is beautiful and spacious inside. They don't offer rentals and everything is 100% off the rack - no special ordering available. They do provide a list of seamstresses that you can use. We were taken to an area in the back with big mirrors and multiple chairs for guests to sit. The dressing room was spacious. Our helper was Abbie - she was very sweet, attentive and listened intently to my cousin's likes and dislikes. All the dresses were beautiful and we had so much fun! read more

I don't even know where to begin except to say this seemingly sleeper business was exceptional in every way from start to finish!! We were in town for a short amount of time trying to crank out major wedding tasks. We had been to a couple other popular bridal stores that had kind staff and pretty dresses but nothing really popped. It was frustrating to see the lack of enthusiasm and smile on my daughter's face. On an extremely last minute whim, literally as we were leaving to drive back to CA, we stopped at Brilliant Bridal. They made accommodations and were able to fit my daughter and I in. From the moment my phone call was answered to the second we left, everything was top notch. Kendra was the one to work with us and she was phenomenal! No pressure, really listened to what my daughter wanted, plenty of suggestions for what would be best to meet our needs but more importantly, feasible ways for how to meet her vision. Her knowledge and suggestions made it readily apparent that not only has she been doing this for years, but she has her own seamstress abilities. One of my favorite parts though was when Kendra suggested we check out a couple other places to be sure, naming another store that was well known for quickly meeting needs of modest brides. There was no sales pressure from Kendra, just thoughtful listening and expert advice. We left the store and intended to visit this other place, but after conversing in the car for some time and checking things out, we went back in and asked Kendra if we could try the dress back on and asked about the possibility of a couple modifications. When the dress was tried back on and the modifications expertly addressed... the smile and excitement on my daughter's face was priceless! We walked out with a designer dress, unique from all the others, and veil for a killer price. They are so sweet, kind, and extremely talented. My wedding dress has gorgeous lace detail at the bottom and I needed my dress hemmed. Not many people would be able to hem it and have it look exactly the same without messing up the lace detail. I found a dress here that I love and had a fairly fun experience since they allowed 8 or so of my family and friends to come shopping. That said, we didn't really get to browse the racks for very long and all the dresses my crew picked out ended up being the wrong size so my stylist scratched those and it was a bummer not getting to try anything on that we hand picked. I feel bad saying this, but honestly my stylist had bad breath which was a bit unpleasant when we were in close quarters for her to help with my dress. The thing compelling me to write a review, though, is how they managed the finances. At checkout, there was an option to leave a tip and the preset amounts were 20%, 18%, and 15%, which for a $1500 dress would have been hundreds of dollars! I now think this is really inappropriate to start the suggestions that high, but not having shopped anywhere else before, it caught me off guard. I hadn't done any research to know what was appropriate but felt guilty and "cheaped out" with only a $75 tip. After we left the shop, I asked my friends and family about their experiences elsewhere and realized I hadn't cheaped out at all, $75 was actually an extremely generous tip for a stylist in general (who typically doesn't work on tips), which was especially frustrating because my stylist really didn't do anything above the ordinary to deserve it and I feel like I got tricked into it. The final kicker is that before we hit the racks to browse, while ALL my friends and family were gathered in the dressing/seating area, my stylist kicked off the conversation by asking what my budget was in front of everyone. This was super awkward and immediately killed the fun vibe and embarrassed me to say how little I was willing to spend in front of my friends who have gotten married recently and spent way more. This shop should take extra care in the future to make their brides comfortable and discuss details like that privately and ahead of time, not in front of the whole party! Even if that is meant to inform the party on picking dresses off the rack that are in budget, you could easily find more creative and kind ways to do it, or the stylist and the bride could filter out options that are too expensive privately in the dressing room. Improvement is needed here. (I don't want to say the stylist's name and tarnish her reputation if still working there, but Brillant Bridal, feel free to reach out to me for details). read more

I am not the "average bride" and the entire wedding planning process had given me so much stress and anxiety since getting engaged last year. So much so, that my fiancé and I canceled our deposit on our moderately sized venue, and opted to have an intimate 20 person ceremony followed by a private dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. So you can imagine my stress levels at the thought of dress shopping, but I honestly cannot praise this place enough! This was the first and only dress shop I visited, and when Alyssa walked out to greet me, I knew I had a good shot at finding my dress here. She wasn't dressed overly girly, she had on these cute doc martens and was wearing black - my kind of outfit! I picked a few dresses on my own that did not fit, so she went out and found some she thought I would like. The first dress I tried on (that actually fit) I immediately knew it was the one. Simple but elegant, stunning, but not over the top. I already thought it was perfect, but after she told me it was only $700 I felt like I hit the jackpot. This shop has gorgeous dresses, such friendly staff, and amazing prices. They referred me to a few different places for alterations that were able to get everything scheduled for me that day, and now I am actually feeling so excited for my fiancé to see me in this dress. I have went to the store a few months ago in finding a dress which I did or at least I did. I had never gone dress shopping before and I was nervous. Didn't know what to expect. The little sales girl was very sweet. I left my appointment with a dress. Thinking all was good. Last week I went for my first alterations appointment here in Tucson as I put the dress on and spoke with the seamstress as she pulled at the edges to see what she could do to start with my corset back, etc. she informed me that the dress alterations would cost me more than the dress itself. My seamstress was very upset for me and told me that I was so a dress that didn't fit me or my body type and that I needed to buy an entirely new dress because I was sold in a dress that was three sizes too small especially in the bust area. I did let her know that during my consultation with them they told me that I was not to wear a fraud during this visit because they wanted me to know what the fabric of the gowns felt like on my skin my sea stress that informed me that that is incorrect.. I left my alteration appointment. Very upset because I had to go look for a new dress as soon as possible. Thankfully, I did find a new dress yesterday, but the whole experience and the line to apparently that I was told at this shop was very disappointing. read more

I had my appointment here and unfortunately I did not have a good experience with my stylist I was paired with. My stylist had a very negative attitude and did not make this special process enjoyable. I tried one dress on and she told me I wouldn't find a dress I would like and that I would have to make my dress from scratch with a seamstress. I was clearly interested in looking through the store's inventory and still in the early stages of figuring out what I wanted. This was my second time trying wedding dresses on ever (I did one appointment right before this one). I'm very opinionated and particular but what bride isn't!!! Weddings are expensive and so special; so you want it to be exactly what you're envisioning. That's okay if it takes a little longer to figure that out. Everyone is different. I feel like my stylist was trying to get me out of the store the moment I walked in. While I'm sure this salon has helped many brides find their dream dress, my personal experience was overshadowed by the stylist's attitude. What a horrible experience. I booked an appointment for a 90 minute session with myself and my soon to be mother-in-law who wanted to be a part of my dress shopping and buying experience. The store is in an old part of Mesa and states it's a discount bridal store and the dresses are purchased "off the rack" (gross and also probably damaged). The store itself is old and outdated. Therefore, nothing about this store says "bougie." The girl that we encountered upon entering the store and I approached at the front counter, didn't have herself put together (frumpy looking) and put no effort into making herself presentable. She also had zero enthusiasm in being our shopping guide. It was like I was interrupting what she was doing. Again, going along with the theme of "discount bridal." So, we get to the area where you sit by the dressing rooms, and she asks my budget. I was being funny and said $1. She then proceeded to immediately and condescendingly tell me the dresses start at $1,200 and I should go to the under $500 rack and look around but basically the (1 minute appointment) was over. She pointed to the $500 rack at the front of the store and got up and walked away. I wanted to walk out immediately but my mother in law wanted to be accommodating and look. There was like 5 dresses in my size on the rack and none even close to anything desirable (5'5", 130 pounds). I was trying to make my way to the door when the girl came over and in a tone that was patronizing and informed me I should consider a more appropriate store for my budget and to go to the superstition mall store that sells donated wedding dresses. I have never been or felt so disrespected and was extremely embarrassed. I actually make a very good living and I'm the "mom" you are used to seeing in there "paying" for the dresses. I will never bring my three daughters to your store. I can afford a dress at your store and probably could have been persuaded to get one. Complete fail on your part for making big assumptions and rash judgements. You've now lost a potential customer who has 3 unmarried daughters. read more

Alterations Cost High! Consult Alterations BEFORE Purchasing. Once you buy you cannot return! I loved my dress and was happy with the service during our visit, yet I naively trusted the sales girl. I would not have purchased had I know what it would take and cost to do the alterations. I was told the lace appliqué gown I bought would just need to be taken in at the seems under the dress. However, that is not true. The exterior needs to be cut down and it is quite expensive to do this, as you need a skilled professional to be able to cut it and patchwork it back together. This takes time and money. read more
