I have been very grateful for Modest prom. Before going there I spent hours and hours looking for a prom dress with my daughter. We thought it was fun at first, but after looking at 100s of sleeveless dresses, plunging necklines or with holes cut in various places it became a chore. Finally found one dress that worked for her and my daughter even liked it, but the cost was very expensive. Then we went to Modest Prom and suddenly there were a lot of dresses available that would work according to her wants and needs. We also liked that we could rent the dress since she would only be wearing it one time for less than we could buy it - and cleaning the dress was included!. Jeanay, the owner, was seriously awesome. She will alter the dress to some extent to make it fit right. She was always upbeat and honest about what my daughter was wearing - she wasn't unkind by any means, but she helped my daughter find not only what she wanted, but also would look best on her. We have now gone back several times to Modest prom and look forward to going there for a wedding dress when the time comes for that. read more

I ordered a dress online in early April, and the dress has yet to arrive, even though it is May 26. However, Modest Wedding and Prom came to my rescue with a dress that matched my needs so perfectly! I got to wear my dream dress to my Senior Prom, and I had an amazing time choosing the dress too! There was a slight tear in the bottom of the dress, but Jeanay was ever so kind to fix it up using a special thread that was invisible! I have always loved Cinderella, and there were so many options that fit my taste that I simply could not choose, but I did find the most perfect one! There is such a wide variety of colors, lengths, sizes, and sparkles! They also have an amazing variety of men's clothing to rent out too! I will definitely be coming back here, because everything was custom to me, and I received such personal catering. This sweet store deserves more love and recognition than people give it! Choosing Modest Wedding & Prom was the best decision we made while preparing for our daughter's wedding. Jeanay and her staff were very friendly and helpful. From the first moment we walked in the door, they were attentive without being pushy. There was a very nice selection of wedding dresses as well as finding nice dresses for the bride's maids and the mother's dresses, as well. I really liked how the gowns were clean and well cared for. They were very helpful in working with us, as we were from out of town. All alterations came out perfectly. I was going to a National (Military) Conference and needed a formal gown. Having spent HOURS online and not finding one that covered me where my body deserved more respect :-) I had almost given up. The conference was days away when I found Jeanay and Carol...on Craigslist! Naturally skeptical, I checked it out and was greatly surprised! There were hundreds of dresses and many in my size (4X). Jeanay altered the length of the gown while I waited, steamed it perfectly, packed it for travel, and sent me with a travel steamer to "perk it up" after I got to San Antonio! I went to several boutiques and shops before deciding on a dress from Modest Wedding and Prom. The price and services offered were unrivaled! I got everything I needed (dress, veil, petticoat, tiara, cleaning, alterations) and ever hoped for at the price of $295! We had fun playing dress-up and Jeanay and Carol were helpful and personable. They carried the dresses to the fitting room, suggested belts or beading they could add and alterations they could do (all included in the price). Sadly, I have but one sister to recommend this place to for her future prom and wedding dress needs. read more

I went to at least 5 places before I found Jeanay. I was a plus size bride in need of a modest dress for a reasonable price. Everywhere I went, the dresses were strapless and needed a build up that would cost half of what the dress cost. I went to Modest Wedding and Prom feeling pessimistic about my chances of finding the right dress. The first dress I tried was THE dress. The mother daughter team took care of us without a hitch with friendly compassionate service and we looked great if I must say so myself-. I was greeted by a helpful staff. They helped me look through the dresses and was very patient with the many dresses that my daughter tried on. She also tried some on just for fun to see how a style or color would look on her. Even though we didn't find the right dress this time around, we will definitely come back for another round. read more
