We came from out of state for a wedding. My son was the ring bearer and his tuxedo had been ordered through a different shop in the area. We tried his tuxedo on as soon as we received it (the night before the wedding) and it was awful. It looked cheap and didn't fit at all. I searched for other companies and found The Tuxedo Lady. I contacted her the second her shop opened on the DAY OF the wedding. She measured, altered, and had a new tuxedo to us within 30 minutes. My son received so many compliments on his tuxedo. After a lackluster experience at Mens Wearhouse, I tried this place for a Tux. I'm a big old retired guy, going to a formal dinner with my wife. The lady that helped me knew exactly what I needed, and how to fit me! The items I tried on were good quality, looked new. I'm a tough fit, but 20 minutes later had everything I needed set aside. I will report back next week after the event on how it all worked out. The$125 cost was $75.00 less than Men's Wearhouse. Worth driving all the way out here, for the right stuff! read more

I had a WAY different experience than the previous reviewer, and I have to wonder if he price checked how much it costs to rent a suit in the first place. $125 dollars is cheaper than everywhere I checked, and I was looking for suits for my wedding. Marlene is absolutely amazing, and so sweet. She really helped pull everything together, up to and including exchanging phone calls to make sure everything was going smoothly and that everything fit right, since I live an hour away from the shop. She even sent several vests home with me so I could check the fit on my barrel chested husband! She has a huge- and I mean HUGE- selection of vests, ties, pocket squares etc in every color and pattern and size you can possibly imagine. When they didn't have the right colors for the bow-ties for the groomsmen, she CALLED UP a friends shop to see if they had them, and had the other shop hold the bow-ties for me. Got my tux here for my friend's wedding. Not much to say. Went in and got measured and came back before wedding and tried it all on. The younger gal is nice and the older lady is a bit catty. Others in the wedding party said she was creepy and rude to them. The old lady did take my suit in upon return and complained that the boutonniere was pinned to the jacket and that "she told them to not pin" stuff. I was thinking, look here lady... maybe you did... and maybe you didn't. But far worse things can happen to a suit than a pin prick. I call that normal wear and tear for a wedding tux rental. Even if she was disgusted, why even mention it to me and dog the wedding party like they were incompetent? The wedding planner is the one that pinned the boutonnieres anyways, not the wedding party. The best man's suit didn't fit in the trousers. It was off by about 2" in my opinion. He said he lost weight, but that is something they should have caught and corrected at the final fitting. I guess as long as the pants don't fall off... they fit! read more

One Star Is Way Too High. My wife and I can no longer hold back our utter disgust and embarrassment by the treatment your older employee, and possibly owner, exhibited toward our wedding party. From our first experience with your business she was rude, abrasive, and condescending. We tried to stay out of our son's decision to rent from you and should have been stronger in our convictions. We along with the wedding party, picked up our tuxedos on the afternoon two days before the wedding, and this woman's behavior was worse than our first experience. Rude beyond belief. Condescending, words can not describe. Barking the orders over and over again, I need your social security number, address, etc. Shouting random numbers that in the end we realized was the balance of the amount owed. She couldn't have asked this nicely? These groomsmen were from other countries. THEY DON'T HAVE AMERICAN SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS!!! But she was too rude to let them speak and they didn't under stand the numbers she was shouting was a dollar amount that was owed. We didn't understand it was the dollar amount owed, and we're Americans. How dare she turn what should have been a joyous experience into one we were embarrassed and ashamed to be a part of. Making these stellar young men who had come so far for their friend feel bad. Talk about being an ugly American! Next the quality of their product was incredibly inferior for the price charged to rent it. One of our groomsmen, recently ex-military, used to impeccable dress uniform had the single button that closed his tux fall off before the ceremony. He was mortified. We felt badly for him. We couldn't find a needle and thread to fix it. Where is your quality control? Don't you check these things before you give them out! My tux pocket had a hole in it. I needed to rent a suit for a wedding on a last minute basis, and thought I'd try a local place. Two stars because the sales representative gave her best shot on short notice during a busy weekend. She did do a little bit of alteration on the length of the slacks on the spot. However, the suit really didn't fit, especially the jacket. I'd have rather her not given me anything than give me something that didn't fit correctly. She charged quite a bit too, especially for a suit that was too big. Her demeanor changed drastically when there were other guests in the store; she seemed much more friendly and accommodating while other potential customers were in earshot. But when we were alone and I showed her my WA driver's license as ID for my credit card transaction, she seemed really disappointed that we were from out of state. Believe it or not, some people travel, and they may end up in your store to rent a suit. She kind of insinuated that I may "run off" with the suit, since I'm not from "around here". So people with AZ licenses never commit crime? Would I really run off with a suit when it doesn't even fit correctly? Next time I'd rather go to Nordstrom Rack or Macy's and simply buy a suit for the same money, and I will know it will fit me better because those stores have better inventory. If Nordy's doesn't have the size, they're not afraid to tell me they don't have it in stock, rather than selling me something that doesn't fit. That's called good customer service. I love to support the local stores, but not when I get treated like this. read more

This review is almost four years late, and long overdue! I got rented a tuxedo to get married in March of 2013, but as it typically tends to go with reviewing places, afterwards I completely forgot to say anything. I don't remember specifics on pricing, but I do remember that I called Men's Wearhouse and another place before visiting here, and the quality was just as high, but the prices were less than HALF of what I was quoted elsewhere! I was an 18 year old, who had just started a business a few months prior, so money was tight, but after I talked to the lovely ladies here, just with the way they run the business, I knew I wanted to go with them. They gave me multiple great options, didn't try to pressure me into anything I couldn't afford, and in general gave an amazing customer experience, with fantastic process to boot. I've already sent my sister here, and her husband rented a tuxedo for his wedding as well, and when I went in with him, the owner remembered me right away, and greeted me like an old family friend! We went to the store recently to get something nice for my child's award ceremony for his school. Service was prompt when we entered. Greeting, asking what we needed or how they could help. Suggestions that balanced both his and my wants and wishes. The women working hard there are both so kind and really know what they are doing. So if you are first timers, no worries. What was beyond impressive was that with it being the busy prom season, they still managed to attend to every person equally. And there were SEVERAL guys in the dressing room and the main store area. All shapes and sizes, all fashion tastes, they know their stuff. They had it covered. They knew how to talk to and treat the youngest to the oldest. All those guys looked amazing and you could tell their confidence instantly was boosted. As a parent and customer, can't ask for any more than that.
