If I could give 0 stars I would! My Fiance and I recently had such a horrible experience with the owners of this shop. Three weeks ago we went in for a so-called consultation and were greeted by a female by name of KEKE who we later found out was the owner's wife. Everything went well at first, my fiance tried on some suits that were hanging on the rack and couldn't find one that fits him so we proceeded with the option of ordering a suit in his size. I started having an iffy feeling when Keke took out some magazines with all the different suit designs for us to look through and when we asked questions, her only answer was "we just order them from a warehouse". We still decided to give it a chance and we specifically inform Keke we wanted an all black tuxedo and pointed at the picture of what we thought was an inspo picture since they were magazines. She then gave us a quote of $300 and we put half down that same day. Fast-forward to the day we went to pick up the tux and I immediately noticed the quality was cheap and to make it even worse the inside of the tux jacket was purple. When we informed Keke, she then proceeds to tell us if we wanted an all black tux jacket from the rack as if my fiancé didn't already try them on and did not like how it fit him. Moreover, we already paid half down to order a suit in his size so would you even consider giving us a tux from off the rack! At this point I knew we were dealing with crooked owners. As soon as I spoke up and told her that the inside of the tux is purple, Keke's whole demeanor changed and kept walking off and going back to her working area when there were no other customers in the store at that time. We approached her again and inform her about our concerns with the tuxedo because IT IS NOT WHAT WE ASKED OR PAID FOR. She then proceeds to be super defensive and dismisses us by saying "the suit you guys chose didn't show a picture of the inside of the jacket". The same pictures that were in a magazine that she failed to provide any information other than what's already showing in the picture. She still tries to give excuses and appears irritated and shes now having to re-order the tux. I was very upset at this point yet we still tried to be professional. Meanwhile Keke was being very rude and unprofessional walking back and forth cleaning her desk while we were waiting for an answer of how we were going to resolve this. She just looks over and tells us she is going to re-order and she will call us and it seemed like she just wanted us to go away. So i asked her to give us a time-frame because at this point we were already having second thoughts and were worried given the kind of experience we just had, not to mention our wedding is three weeks. She then have the audacity to tell us "you have a lot of time! and i don't know why ya are making a big deal out of this" trying to gaslight us and just being super hostile. When I tried to request to speak to the owner, she tells me shes the owner. I expressed my frustration about how she handled herself as the so called owner of the shop to which she obviously did not take well. I was done talking to her at that point and had let my Fiancé handle it as I walked out of the shop so frustrated. We left that day dissatisfied with such a horrible experience at this place! She reached out again for the last time when the second tux came in and was ready for pick up. I did not go with my fiance this time but i decided to reach out to a different owner who was on their website. Shortly after, i receive an email response of Keke mentioning her husband is the owner and he is the only other person to speak to. She was still not taking any accountability and kept gaslighting the situation. She texts my fiance to notify him of the complaint i made (not sure why) and proceeds to tell my fiance she wouldve charged extra since she had to re order the tuxedo even though this was a mistake she made on her end. Why will she charge us extra for a tux we specifically asked to be in "all black" and she orders a completely different tux we didn't ask for? I requested to speak to her husband since she claims he is the only other person to speak to and i have NOT heard back from anyone till this day! All in All, this was by far the worst experience ever. DO NOT SHOP HERE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. THIS COUPLE IS RUNNING A SCAM BUSINESS AND RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. I'm not even exaggerating, but this was the worst shopping experience of my life. The sad excuse of a man working there is an absolute psychopath. Here is the story: We went in just now to buy a suit for my friend's wedding. Their selection is sparse -- mostly cheap, poorly made, polyester suits. The style and material is what you'd expect from a "$99" suit (even though the one we were considering was $200). After trying a few on and not being impressed, the manager began pressuring us into buying a suit, and I said we'll check out a few more places before deciding. His whole demeanor then changed, and he started yelling at us. "TAKE OFF THE PANTS", he said, spitting all over us. "IF YOURE NOT GOING TO BUY A SUIT, WHY WOULD YOU WASTE MY TIME. A BLACK SUIT IS A BLACK SUIT. IF YOURE TOO CHEAP TO PAY FOR IT, I'LL DO $150." First of all, a black suit isn't a black suit, any moron would know this. By the same logic a burger from McDonalds is the same as a burger from a steakhouse. Second of all, this man was psychopathic, aggressive, and a bully. We were incredibly polite, said thank you and left, since we didn't want an altercation. The real irony of this situation is that this man was wearing an offensively shiny black suit, two sizes too large, with the pant cuffs rolled up. I've been looking for a suit for a little while now, and I haven't been happy with some of the more expensive suit shops that I've gone to. My brother told me about this place and was happy with the suit he bought so I decided to check them out. They definitely know their stuff. I was looking for a slim fitting suit, but I like the pants a little slimmer than normal. Their tailor got the fit just right on the pants so I can show off my shoes. Saved hundreds compared to the suit places I was originally looking at, couldn't be happier and I'm definitely going back for my next suit. I didn't really know my suit size so he measured me right away. His customer service is top notch. Made me feel very welcome and comfortable. By far one of the worst experiences we encountered in the Phoenix area when looking for a suit for my husband for our wedding! We drove up from Tucson to Phoenix to find a burgandy suit. We stopped here due to good reviews and cost. One of the first things that the the owner had said to us was if we don't love the suit it's a guaranteed refund. We thought, ok this place seems legit, they are about customer service! The owner measured my husband we placed an order. The owner/worker that helped us seemed and looked to be stoned. That wasn't really the issue until later when we realized he wasn't paying attention to anything that we ordered. The 1st few issues we encountered: he got his measurements, we placed an order, we payed for the suit on a CC. He said he would call us in 2 weeks when the suit was ready.... 3 weeks passed no call. So we called him enquiring about the suit. The owner that helped us completely forgot to place the order and forgot to write down the measurements of the suit. Thank goodness my husband knew exactly what measurements he told him originally and so the owner then had finally submitted the order. We waited another 2 weeks and the guy gave us a call back and said the order was ready. We drove up to Phoenix to try on the suit and the suit was way to small. My husband couldn't even button up the pants and the jacket was so tight he couldn't move his arms. My husband then looks at the size and sees the guy didn't even order the right size! When my husband confronted the owner he stood there and argued with my husband saying that he must have gained weight! The owner then asked his tailor if he could fix his suit. The tailor just looked at him and chuckled and said no that he couldn't there was no way. The owner then proceeded to keep asking his tailor and telling him that he could fix the suit. At this point we were very disappointed and no longer wanted to do business with them. The suit looked terrible it didn't fit right, it didn't look nice, the customer service was not good so we asked the guy for a refund. The Owner literally stood there and argued with us for 10 minutes or more basically saying that he would find us another suit and didn't want to give us a refund. I had to step in and remind him that he told us originally that if we were not 100% satisfied we would get a refund. He then proceeded to tell us that all he can do is give us the money that he had out of his wallet, which didn't even cover the cost of the suit and that's all we would get. We couldn't believe our ears. That was definitely unprofessional and Ghetto! BEWARE! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! You will not get your full refund back!!! read more

I'll put the TL/DR at the top: As with almost everything else, you get what you pay for on tailor/alteration services. Suit Yourself is no exception. Also, no cards accepted - Cash Only. I will qualify this review by saying I only needed a quick hem on a new pair of dress pants I purchased online. I didn't buy a suit or tuxedo, and I wasn't looking for a shopping "experience." I live in the area, and I pass the sign out by the street advertising "Quick Hem $10.00" several times a week. Quick + $10.00 = I'll try it at least once. When I arrived, the signs indicating Suit Yourself was "OPEN" were placed outside, and the lights inside the store were on, including a neon "OPEN" sign; however, the door was locked, and no one answered when I knocked. The glass door was adorned with lettering stating, "By Appointment 602-589-9200." I called the number on the signs, 602-820-4481, twice, both of which went to voicemail. I tried the By Appointment number, and I reached a person, who told me he would give me the tailor's number right before he hung up on me. I tried calling the first number again. Someone answered and promptly hung up. I tried once more with the same result. I had been outside the store for 10-15 minutes in the searing heat, so I decided to give up and perhaps call later for an appointment, since this tailor was recommended by several people in the neighborhood. As I started to back out of my parking spot, a truck pulled up, and a man jumped out, unlocked the store door and quickly went inside. I went inside and explained I was the guy who was blowing up his phone. The man graciously apologized (he had to run to the bank). It seemed to be a one-man operation, so allowances had to be made. The tailor gestured to the corner changing area, which was a shoji-style privacy screen and a chair. It didn't feel awkward to me, because, hey, it was just two guys; but, some folks might have a problem with it. I changed into my pants and stepped up on the little podium. He measured the pants in about 3 seconds and told me it would be ready in five minutes. I asked him if he accepted cards for payment, and he replied, "Cash." This was a little frustrating, since the Yelp page indicated credit cards were accepted. I explained I would have to go get cash, and he said the pants would be ready when I got back. I drove down the street to the Circle K to get cash back on a soda, and sure enough, when I returned the pants were hemmed. I gave him the cash, and I was on my way. Here's where the 3-star review comes into play. It was a quick and cheap hem, and that's exactly what it looked like. He didn't ask about a break on the hem, and I forgot to ask, so I got a full-break hem, which looks sloppy, in my opinion. With enough time and patience, I could have hemmed the pants myself, with practically the same quality outcome. I like to support neighborhood/mom & pop businesses whenever possible; however, the next time I need alterations, I will try another place before I return to Suit Yourself. read more

I've been to other suit stores so I can generally perceive how good a suit salesman can be. The guys that helped us right off the bat definitely sized up my future father in law right. Gave him a jacket to try on and on the second try it was the right one. After trying it all one we got measured by the in-store tailor (not related to the business at all just renting space) and the tailor knew what he was doing too. They said it'll be ready in 2 days. If all works out after receiving the suit, this is probably one of the fastest experiences I've had in a suit store. Worth it! Good service, good help, great prices. read more

I arrived in Phoenix and realized I forgot my suit and I needed one for a meeting that night. I was scared I wouldn't have a suit. Luckily I found the Suit Yourself Outlet online. I got to the shop around 11 AM picked out a suit and got measured in less than 30 minutes and then picked up my tailored suit at 4:30 PM in plenty of time for my meeting. I cannot believe I even have to write this review, 2 years ago I would have absolutely given 5 stars after our wedding, but I'm beyond embarrassed that my husband and I recommended this place for our friend's wedding! It has been one thing after another this time around. From the shady tailor that "watches" store for Allan, to things not being ready, to Allan not being there. This tailor has ruined the reputation. He is rude to customers and tries to get money out of customers that truly do not owe money then says cash only, if that's not shady I do not know what is. The rude comments to my husband and the groom were beyond unprofessional! We will never recommend this place again. I'm sorry to say this because I thought we had found this wonderful local gem! I am so sorry we suggested Suit Yourself! Please consider spending the extra money elsewhere and save yourself the headache and unprofessional and shady business practices. read more
