Went here to buy 2 pairs of boots. The main lady was not in a good mood i understand everyone has problems but don't make other people's day worse! She was not helping her other employees and demanded them to get a pair of shoes i needed on the floor. Also they had a pair of shoes on clearance and I loved them size 9.5 so i bought 2 them after driving to the hotel i tried them on and one shoe was a size 10.5 so drove back and she said we'll we can't get you this pair and didn't give another options just return them didn't eeven look in the back this is the Arizona, Phoenix 5.11 be careful with approaching the employees here they will make you feel worse!! read more

buyer beware. 5.11 makes great products but be very careful buying close out specials. I bought my wife several pairs of shorts but 2 of them did not fit true to size. The policy is very clear that all sales are final so make sure you try them on before you purchase. I went up to exchange them for about 300 bucks worth of new purchases but after hearing I was out of luck, I decided I didn't need to purchase anything today. Manager was following policy but its a bad policy if the merchandise does not not conform to the size. The policy should be at least a store credit. Time to switch to a new brand going forward. read more

This review is for an online purchase made in November that i finally received in mid January (only because i called them asking where the order was... I guess i should have called sooner to get faster shipping?) Order total was around $120 for multiple items. They offer free returns so i printed a label through their website and sent it back requesting exchange for smaller size. At some point they sent me an email saying they received the item back valued at $35 but did not send smaller size pants or do a refund. I called them 2 days ago to see what was going on and they told me they noticed i hadn't paid for them even though they shipped them? They told me my bank had set pending on the original purchase but didn't go through (So why did you ship stuff to me?). Today i go into my bank CC statements and find the charge, so did in fact pay for them. I call them back today and begin to tell them what happened and about 1 minute in they hang up on me. I call back and am put on hold for 20 min until i give up and hang up... (Keep in mind the first two times i called them there was zero wait in their call center) Now i have to go through the hassle of doing a charge back through my bank.... I don't recommend buying anything from them at this point read more

This weekend, the 5.11 Tactical store of Chandler (more like Gilbert) held its grand opening. I had made a few trips before the official opening as this location is substantially closer to me than the Phoenix location. While the usual 5.11 fanfare was present for their grand opening, something was "off". I am a loyal 5.11 customer as every item I have purchased from them has surpassed my expectations and held up in travel to locations on the planet that are not kind to bags, boots, and suitcases. From the first time I walked into the Phoenix location, I was greeted with not only courtesy and professionalism but also real-life knowledge. That is what felt off about the new location; aside from it being smaller than the Phoenix location, it felt like a store. The employees, while courteous, didn't emit a vibe (or share information) that spoke to them living the lifestyle that is synonymous with 5.11 or conducive for tactical gear to be enjoyed in all its splendor. Despite the extra 20 minutes I would have to drive to reach the Phoenix location from my home (again, this new location is closer), I will continue to shop in Phoenix location. It has become home, and the staff family. If you truly want to maximize the 5.11 experience, head over to Phoenix and ask for either Quentin, David, or the manager, Ben De La Paz. After reading all the great reviews I'm really surprised what little knowledge the staff had on tactical wear. Just saying guys if asking about adjustable ankle closures ( completely different from blowing straps, no one blouses anymore) dont tell me to use rubber bands. Strike pants are not regular 511's . But hey good job brushing me off telling me to go to your competition and mentioning them by name vs actually trying to provide some customer service and do some research. I just started a new job a couple weeks ago and went in to pick up a pair of work pants. Immediately upon walking in the whole crew welcomed me in and asked if they could help with anything. The nice thing about these guys is they'll ask if you need help and if you say yes, you get top notch help from some world class guys. And if you say no, they leave you alone to do whatever it is you'd like. Personally I'm the kind of person who likes to get in and get out without having to shop around a whole lot. Joseph and the GM both helped me the entire time I was in. First they showed me the 5.11 base tactical pants and then the ABR Pros and even went to the back to check for a specific color for me. I told them I wasn't wanting to spend a whole lot and they understood and helped me with options that suited my needs. From start to finish these guys are world class. No matter what it is you need, they will help you find it! Please go in and check this store out even if you want to just hang out and chat with some pretty killer people. read more
