This a follow up to my original post, I went back Saturday, June 6th for my first bridal fitting with the alteration department. We were greeted and checked in, the nice young lady told us where to go for alterations. So far so good let me also add my appointment was when they first opened and my sister's appointment was a little later but they were able to fit her in earlier. We went to the back of the store, this young lady came out didn't greet us and was chewing gum the whole time. She started to speak in this very low tone, couldn't understand what she was asking. Finally she took my measurements and put my dress in a dressing room. She needed to get the style number of my dress and left it on the floor. I found her to be VERY unprofessional and rude like we were bothering her to do her job. Irena came out and greeted us explained the process and took me to the back. She was so professional and answered any questions. She also brought out a corset bra, that I didn't know I needed until bam it was on and it was GREAT! My dress needed to be altered quite a bit so the price kept creeping up. When other brides warn you about alterations being possibly more than what you paid for your dress, believe them. At that point I wasn't going to cry over spilled milk, they needed to be done. Irena then brought out the star of the hour Jo. Jo was also AMAZING she helped with pinning up the back and sides of my dress. I am heavy set on top so she suggested to sew the corset bra to my dress to help feel more secured. Jo and Irena are true professionals and know what they were doing. We were done and back to the primal waiting area. The first young girl came back out and was rude not surprised. She was told by Jo to make out next appointment. She said July 5th and my sister and I both said we weren't available that day due to the Holiday and being out of town. It's almost like she didn't bother to listen with her ears, she repeated July 5th. I asked her what other days are available she then said they don't give me those days July 5th at that point I was over her. I asked her to please go get other dates or bring someone else that can assist us better. She walked to the back and said you need to talk to them I don't feel comfortable, then proceeded to walk by us not saying a word. For someone working with the public she needs better communication skills etc. Jo came back out letting us know that they will work with us and our availability. She kept calling for Taylor she asked have you seen her? Well come to find out this rude girls name was Taylor. Laura then came out and assisted us with the final steps so we could go on with our day. She went over the final costs, setup our next appointment then rang us up all while having a smile asking about the wedding etc. If it hadn't been for Irena, Jo and Laura coming out and making this appointment better my stars would have gone to 1. Taylor needs more training, better people skills and some advice STOP CHEWING GUM! As a recruiter with over 20 years of experience she wouldn't have been hired to represent my company. My review 5 star review is only for Diana's customer service.... I ordered my daughters flower girl dress online and had issues returning in store. I also went to this location to try on wedding dresses... your appt only gets you an hour to try on dresses, as I was looking through the gowns I saw several huge spiders on the bottom of dresses, store didn't seem clean, and I am glad I did not purchase my dress here. I came in for my appointment not really knowing what to expect--I was honestly just hoping to get an idea for what kind of dress I might like. I had no idea what style I wanted and honestly wasn't expecting to find THE dress that day. Birdie, my stylist, was so kind and patient throughout the entire appointment. She guided me through trying on different styles, asked thoughtful questions about what I liked or didn't, and really helped me narrow down what felt right. She also gave us plenty of time to take photos, look at the dress from different angles (with and without the train), and really picture it. To my surprise, I ended up finding the PERFECT dress--one that I absolutely love and can't wait to wear on my special day!!! I found my dress at my first appointment! I had ordered something online beforehand, was disappointed in it, and decided to come in and talk with the staff directly. The gal who was helping me was very clear with her questions and we discussed what I did and did not like about the dress I had already purchased. From that, she was able to pull a variety of dresses in my very small ($500) budget and, while I hated the first one, she got it on the second dress! The return process for my online order was very smooth and I had my new dress less than three weeks later. I will be going back for alterations 90 days out from my wedding at their recommendation. I don't like the bell ceremony that they do when you choose a dress - it feels very cheesy. It reminds me way too much of the heart ceremony at the stuffed animal place at the mall. It just feel infantile for picking out a wedding gown. read more

SERVICE It feels transactional and not genuine. I was disappointed with the lady that helped us. First time Brides are nervous, let's face it, they're under a lot of pressure. SELECTION Obviously, David's Bridal sales associates should understand that these young brides are going to be looking at several bridal gown locations before they make their final pick. Who doesn't? Why aren't these sales associates 'trained' in showing compassion towards their potential customers by letting them know they understand that it is difficult to make choices and that despite their selection, it may still be challenging to find 'the right one', just like finding a mate. The sales lady gave us a few selections and after trying them on, our Bride casually pointed out that she still had an appointment with a privately owned bridal company. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her disgust and anger as if smoke and fire was coming out of her ears. She became so passive aggressive towards our Bride that I came up to her myself and told her "I hope you don't pick this business. She's a horrible representative for David's Bridal, she just left a bad taste in our mouth as a result of her poor customer service skills. She has zero skills." Here's what broke my heart. There was another family sitting next to us and their beautiful Bride was trying on several dresses too. I was listening in to the other Bride's conversation with her family and she said "Dad, David's Bridal CANNOT give me an estimate of the alterations I need for this dress UNTIL I PURCHASE the dress." What?!! Did I hear that correctly? She was tearing up behind her smile. Poor thing. So let me say it without sugar coating it. My question to David's Bridal is, you do know that Brides save up their hard earned money to have a memorable wedding. The value you can provide is important to them. When you don't train your sales reps and make their existence all about being TRANSACTIONAL and not authentic, you lose customers like us. And no, I would not recommend this business to any Brides who are rightfully conscious about how much money they need to spend on their gowns. Don't be fooled by the prices. Their prices look appealing but they're not once you add up all those surprise alteration fees they add to your final gown purchase. read more

Delayed review from May 2025, because a year later and I am still stressed about it. I'm throwing a 2 because we had a great experience finding the dress, but the alterations experience was horrible! Alterations: The alterations process went bad. First, one of the dresses came in late with no warning. Like we had to hunt them down to figure out where this dress was. When they told us it was coming in late, there was no warning that the in-house alterations would be considered "rushed" so when we got to the alterations phase there was an extra fee that they refused to wave, even though we bought the dress from them and it was late arriving because of them. All of the dresses were floor-length and hemmed incorrectly. So, we were constantly tripping. Half us bridesmaids tripped our way down the aisle, and one missed half the reception because her friend was desperately trying to pin the dress to a functional hight. My dress personally had the boob cups sewn in too high so they were visible to anyone taller than me. (I'm 5'3" so that's like 80% of people.) And they were unable to make the straps of the dress fit me so they constantly slipped off. With the poorly done alterations, I still spent over 300 dollars (more than the actual value of the dress.) So, obviously, way overpriced. Also, they pressure you at the appointment to leave them a positive review with their names in it. So I would ignore most of the positive reviews. Mine (which I'm unable to find and delete) was made out of peer pressure. All and all, I was a bridesmaid and just spent the whole time thinking "thank god I'm not getting my wedding dress from them." As someone currently looking for alterations for my wedding dress; the guilt was gnawing at me knowing I have a positive review out there that I don't stand by.... so thus this long review. read more

What's the most important thing about a wedding dress shop? Is it the customer service? The quick turn around? How about the being able to actually get what you paid for? Amazingly, David's Bridal at Burbank is terrible at all 3. They've failed not once, not twice, not even three times but 4 separate times. First incident: my fiancé found the perfect dress and after doing the measurements and paying for alteration (ridiculous amount btw...$700) but when she finally came to pick ilnthe dress, what happened? They RIPPED THE DRESS on the front and then had the AUDACITY to say it was "a flaw in the fabric that came out after steaming." WHY WOULD YOU SELL A FLAWED DRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE? Also, no. There were original photos of the dress that had no "flaw in the fabric" Second incident: they said they would replace the dress (only after we kept refusing to take the ruined dress they tried to push on us) and make everything PERFECT. But they had to alter the dress 3 SIZES DOWN. We get a text saying the replacement is ready. So we drive all the way down to Burbank only to be told that the dress is not ready and we have to come again in a few weeks. Third incident:We wait another month and surprise, surprise, the dress doesn't look ANYTHING like the original as was made apparent by the shoddy alteration job. Guess what they do after again trying to push her to take the dress? They make more false promises to fix it and we just need to come back the day after. Fourth incident: we come back the day after and to no surprise the dress is still ruined. they try to push it on us and refuse to give a refund. The dress looked SO DIFFERENT from the original that the workers even tried to say MY FIANCÉ WAS SHOWING THEM A PICTURE OF A DIFFERENT DRESS. My fiancé also said the dress was too tight and they had the AUDACITY to say it wasn't tight and then tried to blame the way she's standing. 20 days before our wedding and my fiancé has to find a wedding dress. What a terrible experience. Time and time again DB failed to even do the basics of their job: provide a wedding dress. I'd give this place negative stars if I could. TLDR; don't go here. They: 1) ripped the first dress we paid for 2) made false promises on the replacement dress and completely ruined the replacement with the alterations 3) gaslit my fiancé saying her altered dress wasn't too tight and blamed her posture. The hours are wrong here on Yelp. They close at 7:30pm. I drove in after work to start looking for a wedding dress since I travel a lot for work and this was a first opportunity. First thing when we walked in the door we were greeted by an employee. I would normally call her a sales associate except I don't think she wanted to sell anything in fact she explained that her dressing rooms close 30 minutes prior to the store closing. When I told her we drove 1 hour to get there she said we could look around but nothing was available to try on. As we started to look at some dresses another employee came over and said we were not allowed to touch the dresses. They were jammed in so tightly on the racks that it was difficult to even see them. We were very careful in taking them off the rack so not sure why this is their policy or is it only the policy when it is close to the mysterious closing time. They have 5,000 dresses in the store but I wonder if the corporate office knows they discourage people from shopping there. I try to support in store shopping but if this is the way they treat their customers maybe I should shop online. read more

I recently purchased my wedding dress from David's Bridal in Burbank and overall the buying experience was good, but my alterations appointment left me disappointed. When I first went in to choose my dress, everything went smoothly. I found the dress I loved, ordered it, and spent almost $3,000. When they called to let me know it had arrived, I scheduled an appointment to pick it up and discuss alterations. At my alterations appointment, the seamstress herself was nice and explained what changes would need to be made. However, the associate helping me (I believe her name was Taylor) came across very monotone and not very friendly. It didn't feel like there was much effort to provide good customer service. After hearing the cost and realizing the distance I'd have to drive back and forth for multiple fittings, I decided I needed a day or two to think about whether I wanted to proceed with the alterations there. Once I said I wasn't going to move forward with alterations right away, the experience completely changed. I was still standing there in my dress and suddenly there was basically no customer service. They walked me to the dressing room and left me to change. The associate only came back to collect the padding they had let me try with the dress and then walked away. No one helped put the dress away, asked if I needed anything else, or checked in before I left. I was going to purchase the garment bag they sell because I didn't want to just take my dress home in the plastic bag, but no one offered or even asked. It honestly left me feeling like once I declined the alterations, they no longer cared about my experience--even though I had already spent a significant amount on my dress. read more

I purchased a bridal gown, last week. I knew I had limited options and also due to my budget. The lady's were nice. And they recommended coming for alterations and I will be charged a rush fee, I agreed and came to my fitting first appointment. I was flabbergasted I felt so uncomfortable with the lady helping me. Once she told me the total $1,570 for alterations. 5times what I had paid for my dress. Please let your drive know how expensive you charge for alterations, specially if she has told you she is on a budget. The worst part is once I asked for help out of my dress the lady took my dress and said I couldn't get it back because it had pins on it. ( ok that part I understand) but it felt as if they were taking a dress that means a lot to me. I was able to talk to an employee and got my dress back. I will never be recommending this place, specifically if there is a bride looking for a dress and you don't tell her how expensive alterations can be and you keep telling her if you go somewhere else your dress will be ruined. My fiancé went shopping for her dress. She was able to find a dress that she could see her self getting married in. She also bought a veil which was around $200. When she purchased the veil and dress, she was never given the veil to take home. My fiance left the store that day thinking they would present the veil with the dress to see how they would look together. She goes back for the alterations and the final fit before she takes the dress home. She takes the dress home. And she realizes while driving from the store that she never got her veil. She speaks to somebody and they say "We'll send it out by overnight mail and you will receive it tomorrow". They never call back. The next day passes and no package. So she calls again and speaks to a new person. Kristen (The manager) says the same thing ultimately and says "well check with our inventory team, and we'll call back once we have shipped it". Again, Kristen does not call back. My fiance calls back again about 2 hours after the call. They say they won't ship it because their inventory shows that she received it!! She never received anything!! Their response was "oooo maybe a family member took it?? Or maybe it's somewhere in your car??". My fiance is crying at this point because Kristen is insinuating that she is either stupid and lost it or she's lying and she received it and is trying to get another for free. Kristen had the audacity to say "I can offer you a discount, should you choose to buy another". Why would I buy something that we already paid for !!!??? This place has literally ruined my brides best day of her life. I will never ever return to this place. And I will never recommend that anyone comes to this place. I am going to post this exact story to my social media to warn people because this is not okay and I am definitely going to report them to the better business bureau. read more

5 stars for the staff I worked with during my appointment (Nicole and a gentleman stylist), but the dress options just weren't it for me (thus the 4 stars). That's not to say they didn't have beautiful options, but David's was already at a disadvantage because I fell in love with another dress; I just didn't know how much I loved this other dress until I tried on some beautiful dresses here, that just didn't live up to how I felt in "the dress". When you know, you know, I guess. 1 hour Bridal appointments are made by calling in ahead of time to schedule. You are assigned a stylist, and sent to peruse a few styles on the floor. They had us take photos of the barcodes of dresses I wanted to try. (Tip: take a photo of the dress before the barcode, so you know which ones you want to prioritize). They bring some dresses over for you to try in some dressing rooms, with large mirrors just outside of the room. The stylists help you close up the back of the dress if needed, and help to arrange the train so you can get the full effect of each dress. They discuss with you the parts of the dress you like, and don't like so they can get you closer to finding the dress of your dreams. This location is a good place to check out for a more affordable dress. One of my favorite styles was one I don't know that I'd have ordinarily tried, and was suggested by my stylist - a beautiful, simple, trumpet style dress (pictured in the photo attached to this review). read more

The young man who helped us was actually very good. I was pleasantly surprised. There was even a young lady who helped us out and I liked her customer service as well. The dressing rooms are roomy and there were enough that I didn't have to wait. Granted, we did have an appointment so that may be why. The dress I finally chose was ordered and all I had to do was wait for the delivery. Once I got it, I tried it on and this time it was my size, but I didn't quite feel it anymore so I ended up returning it. Returning it within the time frame is very important if you want to get your money back. I felt back about having to return it, but what can you do? You know... when you know, you know. I want to give a special shout out to Sade & Stephanie for helping me find the dress!! My mom was in town visiting for only a week and this was my first time trying on dresses so I was not sure what to expect... these girls made the experience so special they listened to exactly what I was looking for, very detailed in what they brought me to try on - and I ended up finding the dress that day!! Sade is the sweetest and both me and my mom still talk about how special she made our experience. They were very busy on the day I was there but they still made me feel like I was the focus and gave me personalized attention. They were all so sweet and explained everything very clearly. From the moment I walked in, the staff had noticeably negative attitudes:i t felt like I was a burden just for being there. The worst part? They actually tried to sell me a dress that was ripped! When I pointed it out, they were dismissive and acted like it was no big deal. No apology, no offer for a discount. Just an eye-roll and an attitude like I was being difficult. David's Bridal was the perfect place for me to find my wedding dress. It's really the best "one stop shop" for brides. I signed up for an appointment online. When I got there, the associate met me and started picking out the dresses I selected (tip- it saves some time to "favorite" your top dresses online). Even though I was one of two people she was helping at the same time, I still felt like she gave me a lot of attention. I found "the one" and then signed up for alterations. They ordered my dress online and I had to pick it up before the alterations appointment. I then brought it back for my appointment. The alterations team (Jo, Maria, Pedina and Laura) were great from start to finish. They took my measurements and explained the cost before I signed up. Keep in mind, the cost depends on a lot of factors. I trusted the team there and I made an appointment to pick up my dress and luckily it was perfect. The dress prices at DB simply cannot be beat and they have so many beautiful styles to choose from. I would definitely recommend DB Burbank for all your bridal needs. Where to begin...I guess it all starts with the EXCELLENT customer service we received from Madison at the Burbank, CA location. Since I had already purchased my wedding gown, I never intended on shopping for another dress. Unfortunately, for a few reasons, I had to go back out again and shop for a new one. My daughter, best friend and mom already had great customer service with Madison. Seeing her interacting with them and treating them all with care, kindness and most of all - listening to them and delivering on the best customer service I had ever seen at a bridal shop - I took her aside and asked that she please assist me when I came back the following month. Her attention to detail, any concerns I had and her kind and genuine personality won me over! I came in with an idea of what I wanted, she delivered and then added a few other choices that I would have never considered. I ended up falling in love with one of her choices, along with the veil and accessories she recommended. I cannot say enough about Madison. She is wonderful at what she does - her fabric, sizing and fashion knowledge is impeccable, she values and listens to her clients and most of all, her personable and kind nature will put any bride at ease while shopping for that BIG day! Easy to make an appointment online. I showed up on time and it was very busy. The staff was polite and asked for budget information and style. I picked a few dresses. Hence, my style was very simple so it wasn't hard to find a dress. Although I felt rush, I found the dress and had the ringing the bell experience with my friends and family. Picked up the dress 3 months later, and was expecting a nice garment bag since well you just dropped a few hundreds of dollars but you had to pay extra. Tip: buy your own garment bag at Amazon ahead of time. I had a concern regarding their tailoring experience and just booking and rescheduling the tailoring appt. was very unpleasant and disorganized. I've been looking for a wedding dress within my budget since my white dress is going to be my second dress. Prior to David's Bridal, I only had one experience trying on dresses at another boutique and I had to pay for that fitting appointment. I was skeptical to come here due to bad reviews on Yelp. I made an appointment anyway over the phone. I believe Kaitlyn helped me out and she was friendly and helpful. She said I would receive an email about my appointment and I should browse a few dresses online and favorite them so they can have this on their end when I visit. My appointment was 6pm. I was surprised they even offer that time in the evening. I came with my mom and browse a few more dresses from the floor while waiting for my fitting room. I chose two more dresses that is within my budget besides they ones they are preparing for me. If I recall, it was Sabrina who helped me out that evening. She is friendly and has been nothing but helpful. That evening I tried on seven dresses...and I ended up choosing number six! Sabrina also suggested a belt with the dress I chose and wow...it all came together! I can see the vision. One thing I knew for sure from my previous fitting at another boutique is that I wanted a fluffy sleeves with my dress. She told me I can speak with someone about customized sleeves and also helped me schedule an alteration appointment three months before my wedding date. I wanted to try more sleeves but they were closing soon and locking up everything. When I found my dress, they asked me to come up on stage and they did something special. I'm not going to say what we did because it's a secret! But I did shed some happy tears. I'm picking up my dress and belt in a week. I can't wait to try it on again. A brides journey for finding THE dress is a once in a lifetime opportunity that should be joyful. David's bridal did not achieve that. My party and I felt discriminated because of how casually we were dressed, comments, and body language that the front desk and stylist provided when we arrived. Also, when I gave my budget the stylist was negative and judged me and I felt so uncomfortable throughout the entire experience. If you like to feel uncomfortable definitely go here! I recently purchased a dress from David's Bridal last minute for a wedding. However, I found another dress that better matched the bride's requested color. Since I was leaving town the next day and wouldn't be back until after the 7-day return period, I asked my sister to return it for me. Unfortunately, she was told that returns could only be processed with the physical card used for the purchase. That was my oversight for not checking beforehand, so I decided to exchange the dress instead for something i'd actually see myself wearing in the future. When I went to the store, the manager informed me that the dress was damaged due to a small stain and claimed it was after the event date and over 30 days since purchase. In reality, it hadn't been 30 days and I never wore the dress. The receipt clearly states 60 days for exchanges. I suggested that the stain might have been there when I bought the dress since I hadn't worn it and asked if I could exchange it after removing the stain. She still refused, citing the damage. The stain was very minor and came out easily. The dress felt cheaply made, comparable to a bridesmaid dress you could find on Amazon for half the price. There were loose threads everywhere so be sure to check the dress thoroughly before buying. I wouldn't recommend purchasing dresses from David's Bridal based on this experience. read more

The first time at the store was great, sales lady helped with dress, color, and ordering. However, when i picked up the dress, it was the wrong color. It would not have been a big deal but the wedding is in 2 weeks. The store could not get me the dress in the color it was ordered, so i had to pick from 2 completely different dresses. Today with one 1wk before wedding i go to pick up dress, and ask if i could see someone in alterations so they can start working on my dress. they said yes. I am now with the alterations lady and everything is fine until she starts saying this will be a rush alter and i said ok but i would like to be discounted that fee because i was given the wrong dress to begin with the wedding is in a week, she gets an attitude like i was asking her to pay. We continue she says your hands, i ask ok how do you need them up down, i feel the tension and roll my eyes. she starts to measure my chest, as she lowers herself to reach my thighs her hair gets cling to my nose so i move it and she says don't hit me, i shocked/confused say what i didn't hit you i moved your hair she continues to measure my waist and thats when i said i want someone else to help me your energy is off and don't like it. she leaves and her manager comes, as im explaining to her manager the situation and ask her how is that hitting someone one? her manager says "you should had asked her if you could move her hair from your face" i said are you kidding me? at this point i am getting more upset and says unbelievable manager says we will not be helping you. this is the worst not only did i have to settle for a dress that i didn't order trying to not make a big deal, i get this service. let say this one last thing if in fact i did hit this person why did she continue to help me and/or why weren't the cops called? this store has the worst customer service!! never again! read more
