Single slider (hot) with perfectly cooked spiced fries.

Doing some Christmas shopping and was hungry. Went to the drive through and there were only a couple cars ahead of me. The line moved quickly, gave my order (#4, hot with a coke) order was ready really fast and I was in and out in a flash. I ate in the car while waiting for my family to finish shopping. Everything tasted fantastic! Nice and hot, fried were crisp as were the pickles. The heat level was nice and spicy! The only negative is that they forgot to give me any napkins! Man... I had to use a dirty napkin I had previously used and my sleeve... the Hot level really got my snot locker flowing!!

Now this is how you manage a CROWD and serve HALAL!!!! This was my first time coming here and I used the free slider promo. I got the lite mild slider. I ordered fries and a drink. The first thing I noticed when coming to this location was the amazing crowd control. Someone was at the door greeting us and letting us know where there was room to step inside. The employees were curious and didn't get frustrated with so many people. Crowd control is a big deal to me when dining out. Even with the crowd, cleaniness was maintained. My sandwich was lite mild and I enjoyed it. There was no spice that I can taste, so next time I will get something hotter. The chicken was cooked really well and the portion size was great! All of the ingredients were perfect on the sandwich. I will definitely be back . The promo was a good idea.. I had a good experience. The chicken is also halal

My son and I dined at Dave's on Saturday afternoon and honestly I'm not so astute on the "Hot Chicken" concept and really haven't even tried other local offerings, but I do know fried chicken so here's my perspective. It's important to note that customer service was excellent and employees have a sense of urgency and seem to really care, so that alone is commendable and refreshing to see. I'll always prefer bone-in chicken breast or thighs if available on the menu but fried breaded breast tenders are only good to me if served immediately out of the fryers and especially if they are dipped in a sauce. It just seems that once you dip or pour sauce on boneless chicken breast fillets of tenders that the crust loses texture and the chicken is no different than Applebee's or Chili's boneless wings after a minute or so that's not worth $14.99 for this chicken sandwich and fries. That's being said the Dave's Hot Chicken Sandwich was okay Saturday being it likely say in the window for a few minutes or more before my buzzer sounded off. I think it dressed well with the pickles and kale slaw and it has the potential to be really good if all the components were outstanding like with a fresh well toasted bun that could hold up to the kale slaw for a few minutes until served along with the chicken bring hot out of the fryer before being sauced and immediately assembled and served. Out of the two chicken sandwiches, I consider the best I'd say that Dave's Hot Chicken is good but a distant third. My first choice and all time favorite is the Spicy Bird and The Big Bird at Roots Chicken Shak at the Mueller HEB Main Street Food Court on East 51st in Austin , hands down for the fried chicken thigh, kale slaw, dressing, pickles and the most wonderful and appropriate bun. The Spicy Bird $8.95 and Duck Fat Fries $3.95 is served hot and is always 5 Stars so well worth the price and you can enjoy it in the HEB beer garden with your favorite hard or soft beverage from the bar. Great customer service too! My second favorite is the iconic Popeye's in Austin that is managed top notch and is the best for cleanliness, freshly prepared quality food, and great customer service! Dave's Hot Chicken in Georgetown is good and I'm glad I didn't have to wait in line to order, but I think converting the Carl's Jr maybe is a different flow in Kitchen and affects the service tempo. It's a new restaurant with new employees still be trained by corporate trainers so we'll be back in a few weeks to try again!

Beware !!! The Reaper is gut wrenching hot !!! I had to sign a waiver to order it !!!

I've had Dave's Hot Chicken in Houston and in Waco, was glad to have one now in Georgetown. I ordered the medium, just a hint of kick, and cheese fries. Also ordered a reaper to take home and eat. OMG, it's friggin gut wrenching spicy, great flavor but holy crap !!! I could only eat about a quarter of it and I love spicy. I'll finish it off, but not all at once !!! I actually had to sign a waiver just to order it !!!

This place is Good....really good...Service was fantastic, place is really cool looking with a great paint scheme throughout. Everything about the food was just about perfect....Problem is the Price....A meal should include a drink...it doesn't....Online prices were way lower then what we paid...Huge problem that need to be addressed right away...Everything from the meals, drinks, extra sides were not priced right....cost us an extra $8-10 dollars....and Im so Sorry....Im not tipping at a fast food joint....this is Total self serve joint...Its the first screen that pops up before you can even pay....As much as we enjoyed the actual meal...I Can't see coming back @$48 for lunch...When I can get just as good or better with a true dine-in experience.

This is overhyped. The meal I got cost $16....you get two tenders (heat of your choice) a little boat of fries, two pieces of bread that are plane as heck and like...4 slices of pickles lol. I don't even know if a drink k came with it. They never mentioned it and I wasn't added a priced drink to a meal. Weird. Customer service was really good, but the drive thru took about 30 min. They just opened. But anyway, you can go to Raising Canes and get 4 tenders, actual toast and more fries for $11 with a drink. These tenders weren't bad, I got MED heat and there was no heat at all. The sauce tastes like a cheese based sauce. This place is just plain and overpriced. Remember, MED heat is truly no heat. Now the tender ARE bigger than average, but still. Plain Janes. Not enough for your buck.

You do get alot of food for your money. I would have preferred seasoning cooked in vs sprinkled on. Well cooked. Nice crisp. Fries were good. Mac was cheesy.

We had a wonderful time at the soft opening today, staff was so welcoming & as friendly as can be. GM Jenifer was so sweet and gave our kids some chicken toys. Loved the murals inside and there was plenty of seating, the restaurant had a fun & lively vibe. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and packed with so much flavor. I love that you can choose your spice level, so it's perfect whether you like just a little kick or want to go all out. The sides are just as amazing, the fries were golden and crunchy, the mac & cheese was creamy & cheesy, and the pickles add the perfect tangy bite. The chicken slider is a must-try, piled high with their signature hot chicken, fresh pickles, slaw and that soft bun that ties it all together. On top of the delicious food, the service was quick and friendly, and everything came out hot and fresh. The portions are generous, and you definitely get your money's worth. If you're craving hot chicken, this is the spot to go. Dave's Hot Chicken absolutely lives up to the hype!

I was a little unsure. The place was completely empty when we walked in, and the TV menu screens were off, so we had to rely on the paper takeout menus by the register. Luckily, we already knew what we wanted to try: the gyro wrap combo with fries and a drink. The soda fountain was also down, so they offered canned sodas instead. Not ideal, but thankfully the ice machine was working. To be fair, this was around 12:30 on a random Tuesday and they had only been open about an hour, so I'm giving a little grace there. Now for the important part... the food. The food came out quick, hot, and fresh. The portions were solid, and honestly, these were some of the best plain fries I've had since moving to Texas. Crispy, seasoned just right, and actually fresh. The gyro wrap was loaded and flavorful too. What really stood out was the service. The guy at the counter was super attentive and checked on us multiple times while we were eating. What initially felt like a sketchy little spot honestly turned out to be a hidden gem. Definitely one of those "don't judge a book by its cover" type places.

The pita bread was not fresh. The hummus was over mixed and tasted a little processed, too smooth for me, and could use more tahini maybe some lemon and garlic. The rice was boring and the cucumber mixed salad that comes with it tasted like it had been sitting around a while, which surprised me considering that I was there at lunch time. The lamb was okay but not spectacular or as juicy as I had hoped, and the portion size was a little small. I felt the price was good and the atmosphere was fine but yes, a little disappointed in the food. I'd probably try again because they could have just been having an off day. Sometimes the best gift is a quiet bowl of ramen and no one asking you for anything. And honestly, this visit was noticeably better than my last one. I ordered the Mi‑So‑Hot again because I wanted to see if the broth had improved, and it had. The miso base was richer and more cohesive, with a savory depth that carried through the entire bowl. The heat level still leans more "medium with personality" than truly spicy, but it wasn't flat or timid like before. The broth had body, the noodles had the right spring, and the toppings were proportioned correctly instead of overwhelming the bowl. It finally felt like the Mi‑So‑Hot I know they're capable of. My partner ordered the seasonal Crawfish Ramen, (Crawmen), and this bowl was the standout of the visit. The broth was rich and layered -- that deep, seafood‑forward flavor you only get when someone actually simmers shells and aromatics instead of relying on flavored oil. The spice was mild but warm, the kind that builds slowly without ever taking over the bowl. The crawfish itself was tender, not rubbery, and the whole dish felt intentional and well‑executed. If they bring this one back next season, it's worth a trip. Service was quick, the energy was the usual Tatsu‑ya organized chaos, and the bowls came out much faster than my previous visit. It felt like a kitchen that has found its rhythm. Overall, this visit restored my faith in this location. The broth had depth, the bowls were balanced, and the experience finally aligned with what Ramen Tatsu‑ya is known for. I'll be back -- especially if that crawfish ramen makes another appearance.
