    THE CRAWMEN with broth

Tried the crawfish ramen and the flavors were definitely unique and different from your typical bowl of ramen. The crawfish added a fun twist, and the broth had a lot going on flavor-wise. While I enjoyed trying something new, I think I'd stick with the OG ramen next time since it's more of my comfort pick. Still worth trying if you want something creative and outside the usual.

Traveling and wanted some ramen, so we placed a pick up order. Happened to come across this ramen spot after researching on a few different apps. I'm so glad we chose this place, the ramen did not disappoint!! The broth was so rich, flavorful, and perfect! No wonder it's highly rated and recommended. The indoor decor is so cute too! We also got the curry which was equally yum!

The food is still good and the seating is a bit on the uncomfy side if you want to just hang and talk. The service when we went was really bad. I knew it was a bad sign when pulling up the server was outside possibly being consoled by a manager and the front desk was tossing dish water in the parking lot. I get it everyone has a day but not getting water refills etc. made the experience a bit rushed.

Ambiance: Amazing vibes here!! It's so aesthetic and clean. The staff is super helpful and gives great recommendations. They also have bottled sodas and house lemonades available. There wasn't a long wait for our food either, which was a nice plus. The OG: The broth was super smooth and creamy, not overly salty like many other ramen spots. The pork was incredible with a soy sauce flavor and a touch of sweetness. The egg had that perfect jammy texture with the same delicious flavor. Prices for the ramen are super reasonable, and the portion size was just right.

This spot never disappoints. I have to resist the urge to go there multiple times a week. Hahaha. The ramen is fresh and delicious. My husband's favorite. I am in love with the chili oil Gyzas and the char su rice bowl. My go to favs. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always pleasant and quick. We have eaten inside the restaurant a couple times but usually order and pick up. Always delicious. Happy plate every time. Highly recommended.

Delicious ramen. Fresh noodles and broth with deep flavor. The ajitama egg is the best I've had however they only give you one half egg so Next time I'll order extra egg. You can add on extra toppings. Highly recommend the Hibiscus-Gibi hibiscus tea - floral and not too sweet. Ordered The #3 Mi-So-Not but I think we were misheard and given the Mi-So-Hot. Definitely had a spicy kick to it. Not overly spicy but if you are a spice wimp I do not recommend. If you don't mind spice, highly recommend! The ground pork was better than expected. Stand in line to order and pay, they give you a number, then the food is brought to your table. Food came out very quickly! We stood in line longer than the wait time for food. They should consider placing menus closer to the door so people can read the menu while standing in line. The inside has bold Japanese style decor and bench style tables. The parking lot is horrible. Very crowded and the parking spots are so tiny! I drive a mid size vehicle and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get in/out of my car if wedged between to other cars so I parked on the other side of the parking lot near Tyler's (clothing store).

My kids love this place so I had to try it. Love the open window lay out, it's very warm. The food was great and service was fast. Cannot complain.

Just landed back from my Tel Aviv and had the best rated ramen and it was good, but the whole time I was thinking man I really want my Tatsu-Ya! So I'm happy to report dinner once again was amazing last night. Such a cool vibe inside the round rock location and the service is always top notch. You will start dreaming of the next time you can get your ramen fix here!

Finally made it in and what a delight for my tastebuds. 11yo son has been begging for real ramen, we live in round rock so had to bring him here of course. We came at 12:45 on a Friday so it was pretty busy but not TOO busy. We waited maybe 5-10 min to order and found a place to sit, there were still a few open seats too as everyone just sort of rotates ordering and eating. We ordered the #2 with chili bomb, the twice fried chicken and gyoza. Well I thought I ordered gyoza lol. 10 min after getting our other food I asked about the gyoza, someone went to check came back and said they were making it but that we weren't charged for it. She must not have heard me at the counter. I went to go pay for it and they refused. I was shocked, what customer service. Now don't go and intentionally do this, just saying it was refreshing as a customer to be treated this way. My son loved it, we will be back frequently!

Grateful that we finally have an authentic Japanese ramen spot in RR! I got the OG tonkatsu and it did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful and the toppings it came with were delicious. Got the spiciest level fire bomb which added some heat, but not too much, to the ramen. Also got the chili oil wontons which were very good as well. The decor and ambiance is just like shinjuku in Tokyo--fun, art forward but casual. The staff was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back regularly.

Ramen Tatsu‑Ya is awesome. The vibe is super chill and the staff are really friendly and laid-back. You order upfront which makes things easy and the food comes out fast. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable and everything I tried was delicious. The place looked like they get plenty of business too. Definitely a spot I will be coming back to. Highly recommend for anyone looking for tasty ramen.

The service is always friendly. The hustle and bustle of energetic foodies inundates the atmosphere. But we come for the food. Which was amazing!!

Came here for lunch yesterday with a coworker who had never had ramen before and she really enjoyed it! I have been to ramen tatsu-ya before but not this location. I think ramen tatsu-ya is consistently good but I do think it is a bit overpriced especially since you order at the counter. Our food came out relatively quickly and the employees here were nice. The restaurant itself is cute with a decent amount of seating for the size of the space.

If you're looking for something value, I'd say that this is a good place. I ordered the Curry Pork Katsu Bowl and took it to-go. I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, but the portion size is pretty decent. I definitely couldn't finish it all and was able to turn it into 2 meals. I thought the curry was solid - nothing amazing but not bad by any means. The pork was tender and I could easily bite through the large strips of meat. In my to-go box there were a few other things - one cup looked like it had broth in it, and another may have been sauce? I couldn't quite tell but even without those items the dish was good as is. Plenty of seating inside the food court, and they have staff regularly circling around to clean off tables (you need to bus your own table but the staff will wipe it down).

This is usually my pick when I'm eating at H Mart. As a Korean, I find a lot of the Korean food there overpriced for what it is, and this spot feels like a better value overall. I usually order the mozzarella katsu, which comes with crispy katsu, melted cheese and sauce on top, plus pickles, mac/cabbage salad, rice, and miso soup. It's filling and satisfying and the best bang for your buck here in my opinion! I usually share with another person. Prices have gone up recently, which is unfortunate, but it's still a reliable choice if you're already at H Mart.

TLDR: Pro: authentic Japanese restaurant with food prepped to order…read more Con: lunch menu is minimum two item order which wasn't clear, and they prepare the food with way too much salt The restaurant is authentic which was a huge win for me. The lunch menu wasn't very straightforward so when I got my bill in the end I was a little surprised to see it came to $18, instead of $10. I guess I could have asked when I ordered, but the menu clearly lists mackerel is $8.50, so I didn't quite get that the lady/owner/mgr meant you have to order two entree items for the lunch menu, so its not like a typical lunch special at a set price for the listed price. It felt a little deceiving so it wasnt a great feeling, i guess i should have picked up on it when she said two items. But I wish it could have clearly stated that on the menu when i was reviewing it, i would have just opted for one entree on the menu instead had i realized that sooner. The fish was fine but $20/worth idk. I will say the meal was actually cooked to order. The downside for me in terms of the meal was the salt bomb all over my meal, starting with the salad which was a very small amount of greens to the amount of salad dressing they topped it with. The miso soup was made with miso but very strongly seasoned making me want to water it down. The edamame were good but once again so much added salt on it. The mackerel was good, but yet again the excessive amount of salt made it very difficult to enjoy the meal from start to finish. The vibe is a small dining area with minimal frill, and a small counter with seating where the sushi chef is to make rolls/sashimi. The lady is very attentive and the food is made with care, I just wish they would hold back on the salt. I left feeling very parched due to the amount of sodium I ingested from the preparation. Overall this restaurant is a great Japanese restaurant, I wouldn't mind going back. If - minus the miso soup, I wonder if I could request no added salt to my food in the cook process. Aside from how they may have prepped the fish before cooking, if for example it gets pre-seasoned in salt that's one thing, but no additional salt when cooking. I recommend you give it a shot, its a rare find to see a Japanese restaurant ran my a Japanese family, which was a nice surprise.

Everything they serve is made from scratch including their noodles and broth but the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Their customer service is top-notch which is just the icing on the cake! FAST FACTS: * Parking - located in a shopping center with a large parking lot * Reservations - no but you put your name into a tablet when you arrive to join the queue if there's a wait * Online ordering - available for pickup on their website * Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays * Weekly specials available until sold out (check their Instagram or Facebook) SERVICE - We arrived at 6:35 pm on a Sunday and were 4th in line after joining the queue through the tablet. Our table was ready at 7:00 pm and one of the workers kept us updated about the status of our table several times while we waited. Once seated, there is a QR code on the table to scan and place your order. Our server brought water to the table right away and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we had what we needed. All of our food was prepared and delivered to the table about 10 minutes after ordering. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service! PRICING - The total was $67.65 after tax ($5.15) but before tip for a chicken karaage ($8), signature shoyu ($17) with extra spinach ($1.50) and extra kikurage mushrooms ($1.50), classic tonkotsu ($17), and black tonkotsu ($17.50). I think the pricing is reasonable for the quality of ingreidents and portion size. CHICKEN KARAGAGE (8/10): The chicken is incredibly juicy and tender while the coating is crispy! The Japanese mayo on the side for dipping is delicious. It comes with several large pieces so it's a great option for an appetizer to share. SIGNATURE SHOYU (8/10): This is a Tokyo-style shoyu ramen with chicken and dashi broth that's savory, umami, and a little tangy. It comes with pork chashu (I subbed chicken for no extra cost), homemade noodles, spinach, bamboo shoot, scallion, nori, Japanese fish cake, and half a soy egg. I added extra spinach and kikurage mushrooms for $1.50 each. CLASSIC TONKOTSU (9/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with a savory umami flavor. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, and half a soy egg. This is definitely a must-order if it's your first time! BLACK TONKOTSU (8/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with black garlic oil. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, garlic chips, and half a soy egg. All the flavors pair well together but the garlic does overpower the pork flavor in the broth (but I think that's to be expected if you're ordering a black garlic tonkotsu). Honestly, there's nothing not to love about Ramen512... from the service to the ingredients to the pricing, it has everything you could want and more. Eventually, I'd love to try everything on the menu because there are so many great options! The interior has counter seating like what you would traditionally see at a ramen shop in Japan as well as tables so it's perfect for enjoying a meal by yourself or with your entire family. I would recommend Ramen512 to anyone in the north Austin area looking for authentic Japanese ramen at a reasonable price!
