Ordered dinner for pick up today. I opted for spicy garlic edemamae- there was loads of garlic possibly the minced garlic straight out of a spice shaker or a jar (didn't seem like fresh garlic at all) flavor was pretty good but not amazing. I also had the veggie ramen (no tofu) , they said it didn't come with menma or bean sprouts so I added those along with a seasoned egg (which didn't make its way into my order) . seeing photos of the menu on yelp shows it came with bean sprouts and menma but those photos are a couple years old so maybe that changed - or I got over charged.( i'll report back on that) The veggie ramen was good over all but it was $20.50 after adding in 2 veggie items and an egg. there was 3 bok choy leaves through out the whole bowl.(leaves not heads)z I called as soon as I got home and noticed the $2 egg was missing and they said they would refund the egg. Thai tea was good, perfect flavor and sweetness however the boba was a tad soft a few pieces kinda fell apart on the first chew. They never brought my food. I sat for an hour waiting as my group ate but never received anything. I believe that the waitress forgot to enter my food and could not be bothered despite a multitude of people in my party asking her for my food. The rest of my group enjoyed their food but forgetting an entire person seems wrong. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! My son just said this is birthday spot worthy . We ordered the gyoza, lemon pepper wings and bulgogi/ ramen R7 it with a chili bomb on the side. The gyoza is fried to golden perfection we loved it! The lemon deeper wings had a super thick breading but the crispness and flavor was incredible. Now the best part the Bulgogi! It was like from heaven it was incredible. I will fully admit I licked my bowl like a child and I'm not embarrassed. We also loved the inside, we walked in looked at each other and said this is neat. Looking from the outside we were expecting a more bare bones and modern feel but we were quickly transported once we walked in. We also noticed we were immediately greeted, the service was outstanding. She was all smiles and super friendly without feeling fake. We felt so welcome. I'm just shocked we were the only ones there at 11:15am. Yes a litttle early but by the time we left there were still only maybe 3 or 4 other tables. This place beat out Tatsu-ya for both my son and I. Shocked we also gave that 5 stars, we didn't know we were lacking until we came here. Ramen I purchased the spicy ramen because why not? The key to making spicy ramen is adding a variety of ingredients to create the desired level of heat and flavor such as chili flakes, chili oil, chili crunch, sriracha, gochujang, sambal oelek, or togarashi... I was expecting to dive into this bowl of spicy ramen and have each slurp be packed with bold flavors and a satisfying heat. This was not the case. What could be tasted was the richness of miso, but not the chilli flakes nor any garlic, etc. This ramen was traditionally made but the flavor profile was missing. I ordered the bulgogi ramen (little Korean/Japanese fusion) and a Kirin Ichiban to really enjoy the moment. Ramen was on point. Broth was traditional and took me back to Japan , the bulgogi was tender and well flavored. Just an overall well balanced dish! This place is a hidden gem across the street from the Kalahari resort. We got a Black Sauce Ramen, Bulgogi Miso, and Garlic Pepper wings and they were all so delicious! The wings were cooked to perfection with a nice crunch on the outside and flavorful seasoning. We enjoyed both of our Ramen's as well; the black sauce ramen was bold and flavorful and the Bulgogi ramen was also unique. They are on par with Ramen Tatsuya in my opinion! I got the R2 ramen with garlic broth, she got the karaage and my daughter got the chasu pork The ramen was ok. The chasu was bad and the karaage was plain terrible. The staff was friendly. The menu was simple. When asked for a kids menu, we learned that the owners used to have a menu with more than 100 items and now limited the items. They do not have kids items. Suggested was to order an appetizer. Ended up ordering a full meal. The ramens were tasty and very rich. The amount was too little. Definitely not enough broth. Black sauce ramen was the tastiest to my opinion and the spicy chicken ramen was too spicy. Hot miso was actually most balanced. The chicken Karaage that we ordered 2 servings of, was well marinated and soft fried, not as crispy as I would have expected. There was a $2.99 deal for fresh tea boba if you ordered a meal. I came across a recommendation for this place on the Reddit subreddit r/Austinfood, and I was not disappointed! Upon entering, a young man promptly seated me he and a young lady delivered some of the best service I've experienced at a ramen restaurant. I started with the wings, which were irresistible. They were crispy and flavorful, making for a great appetizer--just be careful not to fill up on them! For my main course, I had the spicy miso ramen with black garlic and various added veggies. This is a hard review. Boys night out on a chilly evening, my brother and I and our sons, a party of seven, stopped in for ramen and good company. The restaurant was packed, the atmosphere energetic. Upon arrival we were told we'd have a ten minute wait for seating. We decided to sit at the vacant long table adjacent the restrooms that was positioned directly in front of the front door. This table was not dressed for use. As we sat and waited, we conversed with the kids and learned things about this new generation. Before we noticed 40 minutes had passed. Our name was never called for seating and in that span we seen multiple groups of six and seven exit the restaurant having completed their meals. A waitress brought us water for the inconvenience or so I thought. Shortly after our "serve" thanked us for sitting there and proceeded to bring us menus. The evening persisted in this manner, with longer than usual wait times for drinks and our entrees. We didn't get utensils or napkins until after our food arrived and they noticed we didn't have any to eat with... the server was very pleasant and friendly. And the food was delicious!! And we enjoyed each other's company. But the service was lack luster. Dismissive and almost seemed as if we were forgotten patrons relegated to the side of the main dining lobby, next to the restrooms. As for the ramen, the bulgi-miso and the build your own bowls were the stars of the show. Notably the beef-bulgi. The food transcended the poor service and experience. I would say this place is good but could be better. We came here on a stormy day because I wanted something warm and soupy. I got the spicy miso ramen which is always my go to choice for ramen. It took around 20 minutes for the order to come out. The first thing that kinda threw me off was that the bean sprouts were uncooked. Typically at other ramen shops, if bean sprouts were included, they would be cooked. I personally feel like unless I'm eating pho, bean sprouts should be cooked but again, but that's my own personal opinion. The other thing that threw me off was the one extremely thick piece chashu. During my recent visit, I ordered the White Sauce ramen (Pork Tonkatsu) and it did not disappoint. The broth was flavorful but not too overwhelming, and it had a light weight to it that made it easy to enjoy. The pork belly was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and I especially liked how it was grilled. The noodles were on the thinner side, but they were still very good. They also were very generous with the toppings and the pork slide was a good size (not shown in pic, but it was like palm sized). The service was amazing as well; The food was ready in 15 mins and the two young servers were extremely kind. The ambiance of the place was relaxing, with background piano music playing. There's plenty of parking available. Overall, my experience was amazing and I can't wait to come back to try their different ramens. I give Misaki Ramen a 5/5 and the ramen itself a 9/10. read more

Love the new location. It has booths and tables. They have a variety of items like they did at the prior location. I ordered the Chasudon and hubby ordered the Bulgogi Miso Ramen. Wait time was normal with items that are cooked to order. Presentation of the meals were nice. However I took a bite of the Chasudon and was about to choke. It was overly spiced with black pepper. That's all I could taste. It was so spicy and I couldn't take more than two bites. Hubby didn't care for his ramen and I knew he wouldn't. He said it was too sweet for his liking. No egg-- I think that's extra. I think maybe everything is extra because it was noodle and a bit of meat in a scalding hot bowl. My husband ordered Chashu Don and it tastes like Texas BBQ seasoning. So yeah, I liked that meat, but it was weird to have in a Japanese rice bowl.
