    Lemon pepper wings and gyoza
    Kayla I.

If I could give 6 stars I would! My son just said this is birthday spot worthy . We ordered the gyoza, lemon pepper wings and bulgogi/ ramen R7 it with a chili bomb on the side. The gyoza is fried to golden perfection we loved it! The lemon deeper wings had a super thick breading but the crispness and flavor was incredible. Now the best part the Bulgogi! It was like from heaven it was incredible. I will fully admit I licked my bowl like a child and I'm not embarrassed. We also loved the inside, we walked in looked at each other and said this is neat. Looking from the outside we were expecting a more bare bones and modern feel but we were quickly transported once we walked in. We also noticed we were immediately greeted, the service was outstanding. She was all smiles and super friendly without feeling fake. We felt so welcome. I'm just shocked we were the only ones there at 11:15am. Yes a litttle early but by the time we left there were still only maybe 3 or 4 other tables. This place beat out Tatsu-ya for both my son and I. Shocked we also gave that 5 stars, we didn't know we were lacking until we came here. This place put me in such a good mood, I'll be skipping the rest of the day.

I came to this location in June of this year and am finally getting around to adding this review (better late than never). Let's get to it, shall we? Ramen I purchased the spicy ramen because why not? The key to making spicy ramen is adding a variety of ingredients to create the desired level of heat and flavor such as chili flakes, chili oil, chili crunch, sriracha, gochujang, sambal oelek, or togarashi... I was expecting to dive into this bowl of spicy ramen and have each slurp be packed with bold flavors and a satisfying heat. This was not the case. What could be tasted was the richness of miso, but not the chilli flakes nor any garlic, etc. This ramen was traditionally made but the flavor profile was missing. Chicken wings The chicken wings were okay but no extraordinary. They were fried properly yet the taste was not distinctive. Overall, this place is ight, but there are better ramen places in the area.

Such a cute spot right next to Kalahari! Everything was delicious and service was great. Definitely recommend the black ramen. It is so much flavor and didn't feel super heavy after I inhaled the whole thing. I'll be back to try more!

A ver nice interior with several tables for dining inside. Definitely more of a dine in restaurant than a most order at counter or kiosk. The ramen was very tasty. I added the egg, it doesn't come with vegetarian ramen. The broth was tasty, as was noodles and veggies. Definitely a good place to enjoy ramen.

Misaki- Ramen is hands down one of the best! The ambience and decor is refreshing and relaxing with big picture windows. The food is delicious and flavorful. Customer service was amazing! Facility is very clean, very casual and comfortable. I love it! Looking forward to our next visit!

Cuuutee cuuutee cute inside Located near kalahari this is a cute little spot to stop in on a cold day for ramen or boba ! Prices I felt they were a bit high for the quality u are receiving, We got Chicken wings- salt n pepper (wings were huge more sweet then spicy, I'd say light flavor) Octopus balls- wasn't what we were expecting Ramen- isn't the best ramen I've ever had , heavily handed on the green onions, broth wasn't as rich in flavor as I've had at other places Beef bbq- one of the most expensive items on the menu beef is very very very thinly sliced (yes I've had bbq before) but it was on top of a mountain of onions,.. taste was ok but definitely wouldn't order again Chicken wings were the favorite then the Ramen Cleanliness was great Customer service I'd say ,.. I feel bad because I felt they were stressed and underprepared for the amount of ppl. There was no friendliness no walking us to the table (Called out our name after waiting for some time n was told sit over there,.. just wasn't the hospitality u want for the first time at a place) Second was when we were ordering it was very rushed no interaction she wouldn't look at us, we wanted a recommendation n she just pointed to something n was like thts good Again felt they are missing the mark on customer service but looked very underprepared for ppl inside N that's NOT their fault I'll try again in the day time as the waitress did say she wished ppl would come then instead of the evening,.. So in short day time ramen place Go for wings

This place is a hidden gem across the street from the Kalahari resort. We got a Black Sauce Ramen, Bulgogi Miso, and Garlic Pepper wings and they were all so delicious! The wings were cooked to perfection with a nice crunch on the outside and flavorful seasoning. We enjoyed both of our Ramen's as well; the black sauce ramen was bold and flavorful and the Bulgogi ramen was also unique. They are on par with Ramen Tatsuya in my opinion! Will be back again soon!

A first time visit here. After a chilly visit to the LIGHT park at Dell Diamond, this restaurant is secluded in a commercial strip and found by Yelp locations. From the outside it was less lighted, but definitely beams originality and decency. We came for a hot bowl of ramen and we found more. This place was cute! Not many guests at this time 7:00 pm. The staff was friendly. The menu was simple. When asked for a kids menu, we learned that the owners used to have a menu with more than 100 items and now limited the items. They do not have kids items. Suggested was to order an appetizer. Ended up ordering a full meal. The ramens were tasty and very rich. The amount was too little. Definitely not enough broth. Black sauce ramen was the tastiest to my opinion and the spicy chicken ramen was too spicy. Hot miso was actually most balanced. The chicken Karaage that we ordered 2 servings of, was well marinated and soft fried, not as crispy as I would have expected. There was a $2.99 deal for fresh tea boba if you ordered a meal. But added the milk it became $6.50. The milk that was used must have been dairy and not lactose free milk, because we got the tummy troubles. Bobas are commonly served with lactose free milk. And then came the bill: 5 quick small meals for $137....

A nice quaint place that was very very clean and organized. Excellent service from door to table, and the menu was well organized and a lot of great options not only for Ramen, but for milk tea as well if you're a milk tea lover! The ramen was well done, very tasty, flavorful, and a good amount a chicken. Besides a little more moisture in the chicken, it's a great spot to get your ramen fix!

Ordered tons of food from this place multiple times and they are fantastic! So so delicious. Ramen is my favorite food so i have high standards and am very picky, this place is the only place to respect substitutions and values their customers wants and requests. The store is clean and service is fast and high quality.

This is a hard review. Boys night out on a chilly evening, my brother and I and our sons, a party of seven, stopped in for ramen and good company. The restaurant was packed, the atmosphere energetic. Upon arrival we were told we'd have a ten minute wait for seating. We decided to sit at the vacant long table adjacent the restrooms that was positioned directly in front of the front door. This table was not dressed for use. As we sat and waited, we conversed with the kids and learned things about this new generation. Before we noticed 40 minutes had passed. Our name was never called for seating and in that span we seen multiple groups of six and seven exit the restaurant having completed their meals. A waitress brought us water for the inconvenience or so I thought. Shortly after our "serve" thanked us for sitting there and proceeded to bring us menus. The evening persisted in this manner, with longer than usual wait times for drinks and our entrees. We didn't get utensils or napkins until after our food arrived and they noticed we didn't have any to eat with... the server was very pleasant and friendly. And the food was delicious!! And we enjoyed each other's company. But the service was lack luster. Dismissive and almost seemed as if we were forgotten patrons relegated to the side of the main dining lobby, next to the restrooms. As for the ramen, the bulgi-miso and the build your own bowls were the stars of the show. Notably the beef-bulgi. The food transcended the poor service and experience. And the teriyaki chicken wings as an appetizer didn't disappoint.

Sometimes the best gift is a quiet bowl of ramen and no one asking you for anything. And honestly, this visit was noticeably better than my last one. I ordered the Mi‑So‑Hot again because I wanted to see if the broth had improved, and it had. The miso base was richer and more cohesive, with a savory depth that carried through the entire bowl. The heat level still leans more "medium with personality" than truly spicy, but it wasn't flat or timid like before. The broth had body, the noodles had the right spring, and the toppings were proportioned correctly instead of overwhelming the bowl. It finally felt like the Mi‑So‑Hot I know they're capable of. My partner ordered the seasonal Crawfish Ramen, (Crawmen), and this bowl was the standout of the visit. The broth was rich and layered -- that deep, seafood‑forward flavor you only get when someone actually simmers shells and aromatics instead of relying on flavored oil. The spice was mild but warm, the kind that builds slowly without ever taking over the bowl. The crawfish itself was tender, not rubbery, and the whole dish felt intentional and well‑executed. If they bring this one back next season, it's worth a trip. Service was quick, the energy was the usual Tatsu‑ya organized chaos, and the bowls came out much faster than my previous visit. It felt like a kitchen that has found its rhythm. Overall, this visit restored my faith in this location. The broth had depth, the bowls were balanced, and the experience finally aligned with what Ramen Tatsu‑ya is known for. I'll be back -- especially if that crawfish ramen makes another appearance.

The bowl was loaded with a ton of lettuce or cabbage and piles of green onions, which totally threw off the balance of the dish. Before, the flavor was rich, deep, and spicy in a satisfying way. This time it felt watered down, overly bulky from the vegetables, and the overall taste just did not resemble what I remember at all. It felt like a completely different recipe. On top of that, the restaurant was dead at lunch, which was surprising for this place. The inside layout and seating have also been changed, and the space feels less cozy and more awkward than before. The whole vibe is just different. I hate writing this because this used to be the OG best ramen spot in town, but it has gone really downhill. Between the recipe change, the overload of greens, and the interior changes, it just was not the same experience. With so many new and better options around Austin now, I will not be returning. Everything they serve is made from scratch including their noodles and broth but the pricing is incredibly reasonable. Their customer service is top-notch which is just the icing on the cake! FAST FACTS: * Parking - located in a shopping center with a large parking lot * Reservations - no but you put your name into a tablet when you arrive to join the queue if there's a wait * Online ordering - available for pickup on their website * Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays * Weekly specials available until sold out (check their Instagram or Facebook) SERVICE - We arrived at 6:35 pm on a Sunday and were 4th in line after joining the queue through the tablet. Our table was ready at 7:00 pm and one of the workers kept us updated about the status of our table several times while we waited. Once seated, there is a QR code on the table to scan and place your order. Our server brought water to the table right away and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure we had what we needed. All of our food was prepared and delivered to the table about 10 minutes after ordering. I was incredibly impressed by the customer service! PRICING - The total was $67.65 after tax ($5.15) but before tip for a chicken karaage ($8), signature shoyu ($17) with extra spinach ($1.50) and extra kikurage mushrooms ($1.50), classic tonkotsu ($17), and black tonkotsu ($17.50). I think the pricing is reasonable for the quality of ingreidents and portion size. CHICKEN KARAGAGE (8/10): The chicken is incredibly juicy and tender while the coating is crispy! The Japanese mayo on the side for dipping is delicious. It comes with several large pieces so it's a great option for an appetizer to share. SIGNATURE SHOYU (8/10): This is a Tokyo-style shoyu ramen with chicken and dashi broth that's savory, umami, and a little tangy. It comes with pork chashu (I subbed chicken for no extra cost), homemade noodles, spinach, bamboo shoot, scallion, nori, Japanese fish cake, and half a soy egg. I added extra spinach and kikurage mushrooms for $1.50 each. CLASSIC TONKOTSU (9/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with a savory umami flavor. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, and half a soy egg. This is definitely a must-order if it's your first time! BLACK TONKOTSU (8/10): This has a rich and creamy pork broth with black garlic oil. It comes with pork chashu, homemade noodles, kikurage mushrooms, beni shoga, scallions, nori, garlic chips, and half a soy egg. All the flavors pair well together but the garlic does overpower the pork flavor in the broth (but I think that's to be expected if you're ordering a black garlic tonkotsu). Honestly, there's nothing not to love about Ramen512... from the service to the ingredients to the pricing, it has everything you could want and more. Eventually, I'd love to try everything on the menu because there are so many great options! The interior has counter seating like what you would traditionally see at a ramen shop in Japan as well as tables so it's perfect for enjoying a meal by yourself or with your entire family. I would recommend Ramen512 to anyone in the north Austin area looking for authentic Japanese ramen at a reasonable price!
