Topped with a fresh array of shredded veggies and perfect jalapeño heat throughout. Recipe is very careful to let the deliciousness of the ingredients create the base of the flavor. No sauce. An unexpected place to encounter not only quality but also creative food. We came for brunch on a Saturday afternoon at prime time brunch hour and no wait. I love how casual it is - you order your food, seat yourself, and pick up at the counter. The eggs benedict is not traditional. Instead of an English muffin, they serve it on a corn bread. Also, avocado and tomato comes standard. The French toast was also excellent - there was not an overwhelming bourbon flavor and just having a single piece (vs an entire order) was plenty for us to share after our eggs benedict. Wow - this place is a great deal for breakfast/coffee/dessert! I haven't tried the lunch options yet, but I am hopeful that it is just as good. These guys just opened up recently so service is superb. I got a premade ham&cheese to go and they offered to heat it up - it is those little things that make a difference for me. The pastries here are so yummy - they are imported from Watertown :-) Overall this seems like a promising venture - they are open on weekdays until 7 and also on the weekends. I'm told they also have free wifi - you just have to ask for the password. read more

I have been here multiple times, and I know what to expect each time- attentive cashier service, an average of a 15 minute wait, and AMAZING food. I usually stick to the same thing, the Asian fried chicken sandwich. Quality bread, fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and the perfect balance between savory and tangy. I have ventured out to the banh mi as well, which is also very good. I live farther away now so coming to Dash is a weekend treat. Minus one star because although you get attentive cashier service, they do not make you feel welcome. Everyone that works here looks like they hate life. I try to smile and make conversation, but I get nothing in return. I don't mean to be one of those snooty reviewers that demand perfect service and attention, but it's true what they say- a little smile goes a long way. read more

The friendliness of the staff is there, the location is a bit isolated and they're always trying new things. When it comes down to it, service alone cannot be the reasoning for an amazing review. I've dropped in here a couple times for a soy latte and (hopes of) breakfast. The price, a pinch higher than I'd hope (but its local so who cares) and the drink itself hits a bit below my standard. I love my soy lattes. I get them everywhere. I think I have a pretty decent idea on how one should be as far as flavor/texture go. Their espresso tastes kinda funky. And the employees don't know how to foamatize soy milk yet. Half of the joy of a latte is the frothy milk! I tried the dessert and muffin fare here as well: also hits below par. I'm all for pre-made baked goods (having had that in a cafe I used to work at) but at least choose some decent tasting ones? Needless to say, I've started to opt out of coming here when nearby and either forgoing my morning caffeine fix or walking down to one of the other options further down in town. This place has potential; in a few months maybe they'll be better, maybe they'll be worse. Who knows! read more

I went here off hours (not lunch, not dinner). Place was not busy at all. Somehow they managed to forget about my order. When they are finally reminded the woman tossed my panini across the counter to me while mid conversation with a co worker. So you forgot me and them butchered the only part of the service you could've got right. Nice. Panini was not very good and over priced for the whole experience combined. Last weekend, I stopped in here for a lunch with friends and ended up eating one of my favorite salads ever: the grilled chicken Southwestern salad (sans red bell peppers on mine). The portions are gigantic and the salad ingredients were all super fresh. The mix of chicken, cotija cheese, black beans, green onions, corn, romaine, cilantro, and tortilla strips all went so well together with a nice balance of ingredients. I now may have to make my own chile lime vinaigrette dressing too because it was top-notch! My two friends got the Roasted Tofu salad and the Cobb salad respectively and both raved about the size and quality of their salads as well. This place is a great choice for a healthy, satisfying, and filling lunch! I don't live very close to the cafe, but plan to drive back anyway. read more

Having been open for just several months, Dash is off to a good start (no pun intended). Just stopped by for some hibiscus lime iced tea on my way home, but it was refreshing and just lightly sweetened with some honey. The selection of baked goods is a bit limited, but there are plenty of options for sandwiches and salads...including their take on banh mi! Prices are reasonable overall and the place seems to be pretty popular with the staff at St. Elizabeth's right across the street, so I expect the food will be up to snuff when I get around to trying it. read more

Had wanted to try this place since I first saw it a few months ago. Stopped in shortly before closing on Sat. and went w/ the veggie panini. Enjoyed listening to The Sword while waiting, stuff like that should be played more often, not just as closing time approaches. A huge sandwich with tons of grilled veggies and cheese arrived (with a pickle). I should have asked to go light on the pesto since it added to the over abundance of oil but still a good sandwich and a good size, saved 1/2 for the next day. First timer here but I had a good experience. I got the Asian fried chicken sandwich because it was reviewed heavily on here. I really liked it as there is a great mix of Cole slaw, Siracha mayo to got with the chicken. The bun could've been a little softer/ heated but that's getting picky. I also tried the mango iced tea which was just OK. I really couldn't taste the mango. They do have wifi, a bathroom and a back patio. Worth a try when in Oak Square! read more

Drove by and decided to try it after a quick Yelp search. It had fantastic reviews and I have to say, my fellow yelpers did not stir me wrong. Went in and ordered the Cubano panini and a blackberry ginger limeade for a total of $14. Granted the sandwich was huge (and delicious)...but the prices are bit steep considering it doesn't include any sides. Went here to get some work done one day while my daughter was on an audition nearby and I must say, I was definitely impressed. I loved the hip hop they were playing (underground and local I believe) and the food was absolutely delicious. I had asked if there was any seating in the back so that I could get into a quieter area to take a conference call and on my way out, my sandwich sadly fell to its death on the ground. One of their amazing employees (I believe his name is Warren if I remember correctly), insisted that they make another one for me free of charge (despite my clumsiness). They were very warm and friendly and the sandwich was sooo good. I'd highly recommend it here. I found street parking easily and I love their seating options but indoors and outdoors. Anytime I'm in the Brighton area I have to stop at Dash. My absolute favorite is the breakfast burrito with extra tomatillo sauce. I say extra because it is so good I could eat it alone. To all the reviewers who complained about the wait time. If you want speed over quality go somewhere else. The food here is so wonderful, EVERY SINGLE TIME, because Sonie takes the time and care to make it so. Homemade from scratch, FRESH and DElicious. When she makes a Bahn Mi, carefully she ensures that all the components are present for every single bite. Stopped in here for a quick lunch after a doctor appt and we weren't disappointed. Ambiance/Staff: The place was clean with a decent amount of space in the aisle to get to your table. Space between tables was a little tight so being skinny is to your advantage. The menu is written on a large chalkboard and the kitchen is out in the open if you want to be a creeper and watch your meal being prepared (we didn't do this... I'm not totally without tact). The staff were friendly and efficient. Once your food is ready they put it on the counter on the kitchen side for you to pick up. You also need to clean up your table and they provide various trashcans and bins for you to use once complete with your meal. Food/Drinks: Latte: I love a good latte and opted for this over the free cup of coffee you get with a check-in (I'm also in shock that I didn't get the free coffee...free could/should be my middle name). I wasn't as pretty as the ones I get at my frequent haunts (you know how they can make nice designs when they pour in the milk...yeah not getting that here), that withstanding, just as tasty and much appreciated. Garlic Fries: I love garlic and I love potatoes of all kinds so it seemed like a perfect accompaniment to our sandwiches. We weren't disappointed, super delicious albeit a little torturous to smell them being prepared since the whole building is an open space and we were sitting very close to the kitchen area. Very generous with the garlic, but not too much for all of you die hard garlic lovers. Torta: My favorite torta was in a truck parked outside the naval base I was attached to in Charleston SC. I've since been on a quest to have that longing sated. So far I've come up short, and while this wasn't even prepared in what I would consider a traditional way, I wasn't disappointed. The carnitas were very flavorful and tender. The toasted sesame seed roll was very fresh and a great vehicle for all of the ingredients. Definitely not a torta like I'm used to, but I appreciated the stark difference as this made it easier for me to enjoy this more since it was so unique compared to the torta that I'm used to. Grilled Beef Sandwich: My lady went with this one and I was going to order this if she didn't so I was happy to get half of her sandwich (definitely in the top 10 reasons for being married... always having someone to share food with is pretty great). My wife was groaning like a wildebeast in heat so I was pretty excited to try my half of the sandwich. My 1st few bites weren't very enjoyable. My mouth was assaulted by pepper/seasoning that drowned everything else out. I really wanted her to have a bite, because I couldn't believe that we had the same sandwich. She refused (smart lady), so I soldiered on since wasting food is about as heinous as sleeping with your friend's girl or not washing your hands after you go to the bathroom. It did get better as I ate my way through the sandwich, but my taste buds were still on fire so I didn't get a good sense of what the sandwich probably/hopefully tastes like. Bottom Line: I would certainly eat here again,and if it wasn't for the overwhelming pepper taste of my half of the grilled beef I would've given 5 stars. Regardless of that snafu certainly worth a visit, this place does everything we tried pretty well. read more
