This repair is very straightforward and, based on standard repair information and widely available tutorials, should take about one hour. This is not a complex or labor-intensive process. There are four bolts to remove the seat and one other bolt to remove the receptacle for the seatbelt. When I picked up my car, I was charged the full $480 with no explanation. The invoice did not include an itemized breakdown of labor hours, labor rate, or how the charge was calculated. After I questioned the charge and pointed out that this is typically a one-hour job, they reduced the price by $50, bringing it to $430, which is still extremely high for this type of work. They later offered $100 off as store credit if I brought my car back, but I'm not comfortable returning, since my concern is being overcharged in the first place. This shop had an opportunity to fix the issue by issuing a fair refund, and they chose not to. I was hoping this would be an honest, reliable shop for all of my future repairs, but they have lost my business. If you're a woman, I'd recommend coming here with a man so you're not overcharged based on assumptions. After reading other reviews, I noticed that another woman described a very similar experience of being overcharged, which makes this feel like a pattern rather than a one-off mistake.
