Gary provides great service with reasonable prices! Took my Audi TT here for an oil change and in the past I have had a problem getting the under carriage cover secure after having the oil changed at other auto shops. As I expected, about 3 miles after leaving the shop the cover started to fall off. I called Gary and he answered, even though the shop was about to close in 2 minutes. I was grateful he answered and I explained what had happened. He was gracious enough to wait for me to return to the shop to have his guys check it out. I arrived back at the shop a little after 5pm and Gary took a look and offered to secure the cover with screws so it would not fall down. He did this after hours and at no additional charge! Thank you Gary! I will be bringing my car back here for the other services it needs. read more

Brought my vehicle in for repairs. I was impressed with Gary who has been running this business for years in our community. He quoted me a fair price, he updated me on the status of of the repair while it was in the shop and did a wonderful job after it was completed. It's very rare to find a mechanic who I can trust to be honest and fair. Gary checks those boxes and being from Hawaii, he shares the Aloha spirit with all of his customers. Mahalo Gary! Keep up the good work!! read more

Brought another car in for repair. Had to drop it off after closing but I called Gary ahead of time to let him know. The next day it was fixed. Can't complain at all with the speed of repair and the explanation of what failed. These guys are awesome! I had my engine light on for some time. Came into the shop and turns out it was a super easy fix that took them minutes. Great work. Reasonable prices! The dealer wanted twice as much for the work . Definitely a great place to leave your car.

Encinitas Aloha is the only place I take my cars to for maintenance or repairs over the past 10 years. Gary has never let me down.

Hands down the most friendly, fair and honest auto repair shop in town. They truly exude the aloha spirit.

Gary and the guys at Aloha do a great job and don't try to upsell you. I've taken a couple different cars to them with different issues and they've always identified the issue and fixed the issues at fair prices. Wouldn't go anywhere else in SD. read more

I've lived here for 40 plus years and wish so very, very, much that I would have discovered their slightly off the beaten path Auto shop 40 years ago. I would have gladly given them all of my (and my friends) business for these last 40 years. !!! Replaced my Subaru head gasket at first in record time and even had all of my old parts lined up on the concrete for me to see for myself. ( And yes I knew what to look for) and priced significantly below ALL others that I had sought bids from. (4 of them) Later they were doggedly determined to find and fix even the most annoyingly really random issue on a friends Suzuki. Professional, Courteous and HONEST as the day is long. I've started directing my friends there as well and all of them (3 so far) have had the exact same experience. Sadly unheard of quality, honesty, and VERY fair pricing ALL in one place. Awesome. You'll be in GREAT hands. read more

I found this place after a suggestion from the tow truck driver. Since I'm a woman I was real nervous about getting ripped off. I called the shop and Gary answered and I let him know that I would drop my car off for repair. So glad I went here because my car was fixed in 24hrs turn around time. He identified the problem and turned out I needed a new starter. My car runs great again and his price was very fair. I know I need future work on my car and will be coming back for sure. read more

Good job at a good price. Gary at Aloha took my car right away, checked it out and showed me the problem and the solution. Visiting from Ohio and heard about Aloha. We were worried about our car problem because we had a L-O-N-G drive home. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend. read more

Oil change is the best here. Price is incredibly affordable. Gary is a courteous, professional and great guy. His team always gets my car in and out within half hour. Aloha is super honest and reliable. First time I told him my car model and make, he told me the different options for oil changes and helped me save money. Aloha is definitely popular so I recommend calling ahead of time to make an appointment because they get lots of customers. Location is very convenient: right off the Pacific Coast Highway 101. Make sure you don't miss it because it is difficult to see from the street. Lobby area has plenty of magazines and even a legit massage chair. I spent my entire time waiting for my oil change while getting a 5 star massage. There's also restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance and the beach is only about 15 minutes away if you want to take a stroll. Overall, the prices here are unbeatable. Gary and his team at Aloha are the best for oil changes. Don't waste your time or money going anywhere else! read more

I want to say thank you to Gary for always taking great care of us! We have been going to Aloha for all of our automotive needs for years, and they are honest, efficient, and reasonable. We recently had to take our car into a different shop(because it broke down out of town), and they couldn't figure out what was wrong, but proceeded to charge us an arm and a leg for their "work". Upon return home, Gary had the problem diagnosed and fixed within a day. Through this experience, I was reminded of how lucky we are to have Aloha down the street!! They are the best!! read more

I was referred to Aloha and Gary's excellent crew close to 4 years ago and my 1990 Honda Accord has benefited many times by the excellent trouble solving and repair work at Aloha. Gotta give it to them, they were on top of it! I wish I had remember who the gentleman was who helped, but it was probably Gary. I called in earlier the day to see if they had an opening for a last minute oil change. He stated they do and they can get around to it as long as it comes before 4:30 pm. I got it there at 4:15 and was out at 4:40. The price was rather cheap for synthetic oil. I hung out in the office and read my book on their massage chair. No oil stains, grease stains, and a friendly reminder sticker was on my window. I highly recommend Aloha. read more
