We were driving home from Cambria and got a nail in our tire. Fortunately, for us, we came across Dan's Economy Tire and met Gonzalo. He made it happen and patched us up so we could make it home safely (we had another 4 hours until home). The service was quick and he kept us updated. Great job and we appreciate you. read more

friendly , reasonable rates, excellent technology, and on time!!! my 1998 Toyota Land Cruiser with 375,000 miles started to show some abnormal wear on the front end and shimmy a little bit I took it into Dan's. They immediately identified the problem as a worn tie rod ending! ordered the part it arrived on time they replaced the tie rod ending no more shimmy, they rotated all my tires on their computerized rotation machine. The machine was wonderful. It described where the imbalance was on the wheel and the technician was able to correct immediately. the car moved to the laser guided computerized Hunter alignment rack to find my front alignment was out of specification. The alignment computer displayed exactly what the measurements for my vehicle were and how to correct them. 10 minutes later done to better understand what had happened I took a picture of the screen on the computer with the new dimensions and I cut and pasted it into the question line for GROK AI program and asked GROK to explain the results! Holy crap I think I got a masters degree in front end alignment in terms that I could understand wow everything is great. Looking forward to getting 400 K. Out out of the Land Cruiser. reasonable rates friendly service on time excellent! next time you see a computer screen, you don't understand. Take a picture of it and let AI tell you. read more

I have been going to Dan's Economy Tire for 40 years. The original Dan always took care of me. Gonzalo who worked for him for decades and always did an excellent job, bought the business when Dan retired. He continues the tradition of HONEST, RELIABLE, FRIENDLY, service. Their prices are always the best and they will never try to sell you something you don't need. I tried a BIG name tire shop about 10 years ago and had a terrible experience. Never Again. Dan's is truly a small business, local, success story. read more

I have been purchasing tires from just about every major and some independents for the last 50 years. Dan's Economy Tire is by far the best of the very best. I had a great experience with Dan's Economy Tire. I needed by brakes and rotors replaced and worked with Gonzalo to figure out which tier of parts were better for my situation. So I needed some tires (1 actually), and I needed to find a new, customer friendly tire shop. So I called Dan's in Paso and the Owner, Jose was very courteous and respectful. I only needed 1 tire and it was as if I had bought the whole place. The employees were cheerful and they got right to it. The last place I went I was told I HAD to be on time to my appointment or else re schedule. I was on time and still waited for 30 min. Anyway, enough about that other guy....The fellas were quick to point out damage on the wheel (which I was directly responsible for by the way) and that was very refreshing. I was in and out in probably 20 min. The price was fair and I even got a small discount. I told the owner that i had just found my new tire shop! Thanks for everything Dan's tire! I will absolutely sing your praises and tell my friends. Nice work!! read more

Called around to a few different shops, and Dan's was the most competitive price wise, getting me great quality tires for a better rate than any of the corporate owned companies I had called. He took time on the phone to go over what kind of tires I was needing for the type of vehicle I have. They were able to order them and get my vehicle in the next morning. They were ready to work on my car right away and went above and beyond trying to secure a part for me when it was realized I needed a new ball joint. I would definitely recommend this tire business to everyone. Small town service at great prices. Can't beat that!! read more

Amazing service! Pepe was friendly, professional and helped us out. He called back after my phone dropped call to advise he had the tire we needed and could fit us in right away. I needed tires and called Gonzalo (the owner) at Dan's Economy Tire based on past dealings with him. He got me in right away and hooked me up with some great tires at a reasonable price. He didn't try to 'upsell' me into buying more expensive tires but worked within my budget. If you want great service and great tires at a reasonable price , go see Gonzalo and tell him John T. sent you. read more

We had a flat tire while out of town traveling to visit family on a busy road. Nice passer by helped change tire, we called Dan's Economy Tire, my husband spoke with Gonzalo, got directions on our way. They were closing soon but changed 2 front tires in no time. Charge for 2 tires very reasonable so we came back by on our way home and purchased 2 more tires that were installed very quickly. We felt safe all our 4 hr drive home and the tires felt like a smooth ride home. read more

During a journey from So Cal to the north and back I got a flat tire in Paso Robles and sought out tire shops. I got very lucky when I met Gonzalo at Dans tire who was able to get me a replacement tire same day installed at a very fair price. Not an ordinary tire btw. He was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Dans for all your tire needs. When I need a full set of 4 for the car I will consider a weekend of wine and food in Paso and bringing my car to Gonzalo. Thanks again for pulling through for me. read more

Had two flat tires driving through the town and went to this shop for help. Gave us new tire valves for FREE. Immediately got to work on it too. So nice and was understanding of our situation considering we had got new tires from a Toyota dealership the day before and that shouldn't have happened. Will go there every time I have car problems now even though I live in slo. So good. Go there if you get the chance even for inspections. read more

We always come here for anything related to tires and brakes. Not only do Dan and Gonzalo beat everyone else's prices on tires and brakes, but they treat you like family. They take a genuine concern for your situation. This is one of the old-school shops that you may have read about. Forget the big-box and the chain store shops. These guys are where you need to go for tires and brakes. Not modern or fancy, just fair and good. Also, did I mention free lifetime rotation and air pressure checks when you buy your tires from them? That and they get you in and out in a jiffy. They're the best. read more

Honest and helpful - could not ask for more. We came in with a flat tire and they were very helpful

They were so helpful! Drove in, I didn't have a scheduled appointment, I was just in Paso (from SLO) for a doctor's visit and realized that the tire light was on. Reviewed Yelp and choose this business because of their reviews. The technicians were attentive, checked every tire, filled them as needed and assured me that everything was fine. They even doubled checked by having a more experienced technician also come & take a look at the tires. They did all this and didn't even charge me! It's not very often that you find a business so giving and helpful even when they aren't handing you an invoice. I would return here in an instant! read more

Huge thank you to the guys at Dan's Economy Tire! We were traveling through on 101 down to the Skull & Roses music festival in Ventura when TWO of the tires on one side of our travel trailer started smoking! (Fortunately a friend was behind us and alerted us before disaster struck!) We pulled over, found the tread was gone on one of them and the next was about to blow. One more minute and it would have been ugly. We had only had one spare. So we made calls to AAA, etc and eventually realized that we were one exit away from Dan's. So we limped in very slowly and pulled our big truck and trailer up in front of the shop. Several of the guys stopped what they were doing to help us, and in about 45 min we were back on the highway with four brand new tires (yes four....just to be on the safe side!). Their prices were reasonable and their service was fantastic. We appreciate you guys and you'll always be part of our story of this trip. read more

Dan is always awesome. Great customer relations. The only shop I take my car to for tires. I have been coming here for over 10 years.

When it comes to tires, brakes, and alignment Dan, and his trusty right hand Gonzalo are the dynamic duo of all of the above! Always super helpful, NOT there to try to carve a deep rut through my wallet, are always very nice, and are always professional. I've never met someone in my entire life who cares so much about how my tires are wearing, do I have them at the correct pressure, and best of all he's always happy to rotate them for me. read more

Dan is a little odd but he knows his stuff. The other guys who work here are great too. They are honest, fairly priced, and fast.
