Update: the owner KEEPS RAGE TEXTING ME even days later. He will not stop as many times as I have told him. He continues to insist that I should have called and asked if my appointment got put in the system. No, it is not my job to call and ask if this man did his job or not. The business keeps reporting my review, but I will keep reposting it since this was my authentic customer experience and I want it to be seen by other customers. I will repost as many times as is necessary. Because what the f. How are you as a business owner somehow the least competent employee in the building. I don't even know where to start. I guess for one, don't bother booking an appointment online. They have it all set up for you on the website as if you can, however they leave it up to whoever is in charge of replying to emails to input the appointment into their computer, which did not happen in my case. A human error like this is excusable and not a big deal in itself, as annoying as it is to have to drive all the way across town for no reason. But the way they handled the situation was not professional at all and I will honestly never be back after the way two of the employees treated me over it. So, I arrived at my scheduled appointment time, and the man can't find it in his computer. I showed him the email exchange where I set up my appointment for a wheel alignment and two missing lug nuts. This first employee said that my appointment must actually be for replacing the two missing lug nuts. When I told him that no, the appointment was for a wheel alignment and the missing lug nuts were just something to also take care of while I'm here because it would only take a few seconds, he looked at me like I was crazy and stupid. Im not even kidding when I say this man pulled his head back, frowned, and raised his eyebrows in an exaggerated manner as if he was SO taken aback by what I said. As if I couldn't possibly know how long it might take to fasten two nuts, and as if I would have scheduled an appointment specifically for such a menial task that I could do at home with a wrench. The face he made was unprofessional, rude, and unbefitting of someone working a customer service desk. If looks could speak, his said "she doesn't know how long it takes to put on a lug nut." Spoiler alert: I was right and it was done in just a few minutes. The second employee wasn't rude at all, and although it took a few minutes for everyone to figure out why I wasn't in their appointment system, he didn't act doubtful or dismissive of my story like the first employee. He looked at my emails, acknowledged that the person I had emailed forgot to put my appointment in their system, and they overbooked. He took a look at my two missing lug nuts, and really did try his best to find a solution to the scheduling problem. They were simply too busy. In the end, I didn't get my wheel alignment done but they did get my missing lug nuts replaced (very quickly, as I said) and they didn't charge me for it. I still drove all the way across town for no reason and wasted an hour of my time, but it was honestly fine. I was annoyed but not mad. I wasn't going to leave a review, and I was actually going to schedule a new appointment because this particular employee was so nice and trying so hard to find a solution. This guy was the ONLY ONE out of the three employees described here that actually attempted to solve the problem, rather than focusing on trying to blame me for it like the other two did. THEN the email guy (who actually turns out to be the owner) decided to call me. Twice. Our conversation was brief, but he called me twice just to tell me that the reason my appointment never got put in was actually all my fault because I never emailed him back. Which was factually incorrect. I told him he was wrong, that I showed the email exchange to his coworkers at the front desk, and hung up. He then proceeded to TEXT ME a screenshot of the email that he claims I never responded to. I replied back with a screenshot of my reply to his email dated four days prior. He then sent me a BS apology and claimed he "must have deleted it" as if I needed to hear more sad excuses at that point. Nobody accidentally deletes an email like that, he's just trying to minimize his mistakes. It's one thing to mess up, just own it and move on. It's not like I was mad at him. To be calling and texting the customer AFTER I LEAVE just to try and convince them that your mistake was their fault, that's unbelievably bad customer service. The calling and texting was extreme and unnecessary, even if it HAD been my mistake it would still be unprofessional and unnecessary given that I was literally not even mad and going to simply reschedule because what he lacked in competence was made up for by one of his own employees who was far more professional and solution-oriented than he was. I cant believe this guy turned out to be the actual business owner- and he's throwing a tantrum in my DMs. Ha read more

Not only did they fail to honor the alignment appointment I scheduled through their website, the employee whose mistake it was has been repeatedly texting me out of anger and desire to the shift blame onto me. I showed up to my previously agreed appointment time only to be flat out denied service. When describing a minor issue with my lug nuts, one of the employees actually made a face at me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Turns out, I did know what I was talking about and the face he made was completely unjustified and rude. The business has attempted to silence me by reporting my reviews but I will be reposting it as many times as necessary for my customer experience to be permanently documented for all to see. Especially after the texts I have continued to receive by the employee that made the mistake who incredibly turned out to be the owner. After failing to convince me that it was my fault because I didn't email him back, (I did, and sent screenshots of it), he resorted to lying about having accidentally deleted my email and insisting it was still my fault my appointment was never booked in their computer because I didn't call it in after having already scheduled it online with him. So what's the online appointment request for if you still have to call it in? If calling and checking that your appointment was actually scheduled is a requirement when scheduling an appointment online, why does it not say that on the webpage where you schedule the appointment? Because it's not. Those are two completely separate methods of appointment scheduling. The amount of hoops this business has jumped through to try and shift blame onto the customer is unbelievable. I'm not saying the customer is always right, but in this instance I was absolutely right and this fact was also acknowledged by the man's own employees. The fact that the owner is still rage texting me about it days later is even more unbelievable. He shouldn't have texted me at all and yet here he is trying everything in his power to shift blame onto me several days later for something that doesn't even matter. Because for some people it's really that hard to acknowledge they messed up. I wasn't even mad about the situation until the owner decided to reach out to me directly on my personal cell phone to insist that I was to blame for his mistake. He also called me twice to insist that I never emailed him back (again, I did.) the calling and texting customers to play the blame game is extremely unprofessional and unnecessary considering I wasn't even mad and was simply going to reschedule the appointment. Way to lose customer rapport after your own employee just fixed the problem that you created While I was there they also tried to sell me two new back tires claiming that mine needed to be replaced (they didnt) and the price they gave me was more than twice as much as the prices at my preferred tire shop. read more

Before writing this review I read some of the other reviews and it just confirmed everything I have always known about Anthony's Tire. Greatest tire store ever! Growing up here in the North county I have known many tire shop owners and businesses and there are several and many of them are good even great, but I can't overstate the superiority of Anthony's Tire in every facet of his operation! Prices are fair and quality is great. Although they are always busy they are fast hard workers, and customers are in and out in no time. The service is always professional and they really know their stuff and it's not just tires. However, what I thinks makes Anthony's superior are his employees. Some have been with Anthony for 20-30 years! Take Oscar for example. I saw this young man 18 years ago when he started working there, he was 17 at the time. I watched Oscar always moving fast and working hard and he hasn't stopped. I thought Oscar moved mostly in the office, well deserved btw, but yesterday I saw him out on the bays dirty, sweaty and hustling like he was 17 again! Oscar now has a beautiful wife and family, and has become a great member of the community. Thank you Oscar! I could say many great things about many of Anthony's employees like Michael, he gets lots of great reviews, or Ty, he is in the shop or Big Papa Frank. He was so helpful to me the other day looking for rims all over the property. But as I write this I am becoming more and more convinced none of this would be possible without the GOAT, El Jefe, Anthony Charnley. A man of great integrity, honesty and tremendous kindness. No wonder his employees are so loyal and his customers for that matter. I could write a tremendous amount about how much he has supported my family my friends and our community over many years that has nothing to do with tires or auto repair!
